Reccopolis (Spanish: Recópolis; Latin: Reccopolis), is an archaeological site located near Zorita de los Canes, a small village in the province of Guadalajara, Spain. It represents one of the Visigoth cities founded in Iberia during the post-Roman period.Established by Visigothic king Liuvigild, who ruled Iberia in 568–86 AD, Reccopolis is one of only two cities in Western Europe known to have been founded between the fifth and eighth centuries. Its remains serve as a case study for understanding the ideas and ideals of a city in Late Antiquity, reflecting influences from classical Roman models.Discovered in the 1890s, the site underwent archaeological excavations starting in the 1940s under Juan Cabré, with ongoing efforts revealing the monumental area within the walled enclosure. Notable remains include an aqueduct located 2 km to the east, recognized as the first new, urban aqueduct in the Iberian Peninsula in two centuries and the last built in the Roman way.

The Castle of Zorita de los Canes-Alcazaba de Zorita (Spanish: Castillo de Zorita de los Canes-Alcazaba de Zorita) is a castle located in Zorita de los Canes, Spain. It was declared Bien de Interés Cultural in 1931.

Albalate de Zorita is a municipality located in the province of Guadalajara, Castile-La Mancha, Spain. According to the 2015 census (INE), the municipality has a population of 1022 inhabitants. History: Albalate is named as a village since the 11th century, while the Muslim occupation of Spain, then, after the Reconquest, it figures in the Diaries of Philip II, in the 17th century. During the Spanish Civil War it was in the Republican side of Spain, and after the war, many inhabitants were killed Traditions: The main festival is in honor of the Holy Cross, or Cruz del Perro as they call it there, which is a cross dated in the 13th century, discovered by two farmers in a near place near the village, on September, 27th, 1514, since then, it is the patron of the village. For the festival, they have bullfighting, fireworks, two parades (one the Sunday before 27 September, which is a pilgrimage to where it was discovered, and another one, one or two days before the day) and also the religious celebrations, a mass, and a procession with the image. Another festival is for Saint Blaise , on February, 3rd, in which many inhabitants dress up in red and yellow clothes and dance around the image of the saint during a 3-4 hour procession. In 1 May, a song called Mayos de la Virgen is sung by the ones who are 18 years old that year. Monuments: The main monuments are the St Andreas' Church, a Gothic Church built in the 16th century, it is Gothic style, in hall type plan, with a Baroque altarpiece made by Juan Alonso Pedroso in 1701–1707. Also the Thirteen Pipe Fountain, from the 17th century, it is near the side street of the village. Politics: The Village is governed since 2015 by the Socialist Party of Spain (PSOE) with 5 counsellors out of 9, the mayor is Alberto Merchante Ballesteros since 18 November 2016, when the previous mayor, Dolores Ortega, resigned to the office. Albalate has been governed by the PSOE since 2003 elections.

The José Cabrera Nuclear Power Station (also known as Zorita) was a nuclear power station in Almonacid de Zorita, 70 kilometres (43 mi) east of Madrid, Spain. The power plant consisted of one single-loop PWR of 160 MWe, built by Zachry Construction Corporation for the Westinghouse Electric Company. It was operated by Unión Fenosa.

Bolarque Dam (Spanish: Presa de Bolarque) is a concrete gravity dam on the Tagus in Spain, where the river forms the border between the provinces of Cuenca and Guadalajara. About 6 km downstream from the dam is the José Cabrera Nuclear Power Station. Work on the dam began in 1907. In 1908 more than 1300 workers were employed at the construction site. The dam was officially inaugurated on June 23, 1910 by king Alfonso XIII. It is owned by Unión Fenosa.

The Guadiela is a river in the Iberian Peninsula, a left-bank tributary of the Tagus and the latter's major upper-course tributary.The Guadiela has its source in the Serranía de Cuenca, near Cueva del Hierro, at the Fuente Pinilla site. It flows from East to West for 117 kilometres (73 mi), passing through the Spanish province of Cuenca, emptying into the Tagus at the Bolarque reservoir, on the border between the provinces of Cuenca and Guadalajara. It is dammed upstream by the Buendía reservoir.It receives the waters from the Cuervo, Guadamejud, Mayor and Trabaque.The hydronym Guadiela is formed by 'Guad' (of Arabic origin, conveying the meaning of "river") and the '-iela' suffix (a diminutive).

The Ducal Palace of Pastrana (Spanish: Palacio Ducal de Pastrana) is a palace located in Pastrana, Spain. It was declared Bien de Interés Cultural in 1941.

The Castle of Anguix (Spanish: Castillo de Anguix) is a castle located in Sayatón, Spain. It was declared Bien de Interés Cultural in 1992.The Castle of Anguix is an example of castillo roquero architecture. These type of structures were common in areas with steep terrain that needed a fortified outpost. The castle was occupied during Austrian soldiers during the War of the Spanish Succession and was recaptured by Philip V's troops.
