Pallejà

El Papiol is a municipality in the comarca of the Baix Llobregat in Catalonia, Spain. It is situated on the left bank of the Llobregat river, on the A-7 autopista from Valencia to La Jonquera and the C-1413 road from Sabadell to Molins de Rei. At West it borders on Castellbisbal and Pallejà, at North on Valldoreix (Sant Cugat del Vallès) and at East on Molins de Rei. It is served by the Renfe railway line R4 from Barcelona to Martorell, Vilafranca del Penedès and Sant Vicenç de Calders, which is connected to the village center by a minibus service (6.30 am to 10.31 pm). It is also served by a bus service (L67) and a night bus service (N51) from Barcelona to Esparreguera.

The Molins de Rei Municipal Museum is a local history museum that reflects the history, culture and craftsmanship of the town of Molins de Rei, in the region of El Baix Llobregat, and of the neighbouring areas closest to the town. The museum, which is part of the Barcelona Provincial Council Local Museum Network, was created in 1953; it has a permanent exhibition at its central location at number 55, Carrer Pintor Fortuny, and also has a temporary exhibition space at Ca n'Ametller, which is where the museum will eventually be located.

It is situated on the right bank of the Llobregat river, on the N-340 road from Molins de Rei to Vilafranca del Penedès. The main rail lines of the Llobregat corridor pass through the town: the station is served by the FGC services S4, S7, S8, S33, R5 and R6. The remains of an Iberic village are visible at Puig Castellar. The GR 92 long distance footpath, which roughly follows the length of the Mediterranean coast of Spain, has a staging point at Sant Vicenç dels Horts. Stage 19 links northwards to Baixador de Vallvidrera station, a distance of 13.6 kilometres (8.5 mi), whilst stage 20 links southwards to Bruguers, a distance of 16.2 kilometres (10.1 mi).
