Dun Rig

The Manor Hills, also known as the Tweedsmuir Hills, are a range of hills south of Peebles in the Scottish Borders, one of the ranges which collectively form the Southern Uplands. They are separated from the Moffat Hills by the Talla Reservoir, Megget Reservoir and St. Mary's Loch, the Moorfoot Hills by the A72 and the Culter Hills in South Lanarkshire by the A701. The western portion of the hills are designated as the 'Tweedsmuir Hills' Site of Special Scientific Interest and the 'Upper Tweeddale' National Scenic Area, with the major tributary rivers designated as Special Areas of Conservation.

Black Law is a hill in the Manor Hills range, part of the Southern Uplands of Scotland. One of the more remote Donalds, it does not easily combine into a round with other hills in the area and requires traversing rough terrain to reach the top. Common ascents are as part of an extended Dun Rig Horseshoe to the north-east, from the south at the Megget Reservoir or, most easily, from the Manor Valley itself.

The John Buchan Way is a walking route from Peebles to Broughton in the Scottish Borders, a distance of approximately 22 km (13 miles). The route is waymarked in both directions, and was opened in spring 2003. It is named after the writer and diplomat John Buchan (1875–1940), who has many associations with the area. The route mainly follows long-established hill tracks through the Peeblesshire countryside. It has three main ascents and descents which give a total climb of about 800 metres, but this climb is never severe. The walk can be completed in one day by strong walkers, or can conveniently be split.

The Glen, also known as Glen House, is an estate and country house in the parish of Traquair, southern Scotland. It is located in the glen of the Quair Water, around 5 kilometres (3 mi) south-west of Innerleithen, and 9 kilometres (5.6 mi) south-east of Peebles, in the Scottish Borders. The estate is recorded from the 13th century, but the present Glen House was built in the mid 19th century. The house is protected as a category A listed building, and the grounds are included in the Inventory of Gardens and Designed Landscapes in Scotland, the national listing of significant gardens. Besides the house, the Temple, stables, and the "Lion Gate" are also category A listed.

Castlehill Tower, also known as Castle Hill of Manor, is a ruined oblong tower house dating from the end of the 15th century, situated in the parish of Manor, 1.5 miles (2.4 km) from Kirkton Manor, Scottish Borders, Scotland.

Peebles High School is a state run comprehensive school for girls and boys aged 12–18 located in Peebles in the Scottish Borders. It was originally named Bonnington Park Academy in 1858. Since then, it has expanded and is now attended by 1,500 pupils from all over the Tweeddale area. The school was expanded in 2000 when The Millennium Wing was added. This expansion meant a great increase in size and capacity including a Learning Resource Centre and entire business suite. A new sports centre was completed in 2014. In 2013, the school was ranked 28th in Scotland for Higher exam passes.The school was damaged severely by a serious fire on 28 November 2019, which burned down approximately a third of the school and forced its closure for several weeks.

Kailzie Gardens is a walled garden near Kirkburn in the Scottish Borders area of Scotland, in the Tweed valley, four km east of Peebles, off the B7062. The garden dates from 1812. The present owners are Steve and Susan Plag. Places in the vicinity include Cardrona, the Cardrona Forest, Horsburgh Castle and the Glentress Forest.

Whitestone Park is a sports ground in Peebles, Scottish Borders, Scotland, used for football and cricket. It has been the home ground of Peebles Rovers F.C. since 1906, including when they were members of the Scottish Football League between 1923 and 1926. It is also used by Peebles County Cricket Club.

St Mary's Loch is the largest natural loch in the Scottish Borders, and is situated on the south side of the A708 road between Selkirk and Moffat, about 72 kilometres (45 mi) south of Edinburgh.

Manor Water is a river in the parish of Manor, Peeblesshire in the Scottish Borders. It rises in the Ettrick Forest and flows down through the Maynor valley, passing the various farms and hamlets of Maynor as well as Kirkton Manynor, where the Maynor kirk and village hall are flowing into the River Tweed one mile south of Peebles at Olde Maynor Brig, which is closed to traffic for the foreseeable future.

Cappercleuch is a settlement on the A708, at St. Mary's Loch in the Scottish Borders area of Scotland, in the historic county of Selkirkshire. Places nearby include Bowerhope Law, Craigierig, Deer Law, the Dryhope Tower, Ettrickbridge, the Ettrick Forest, the Megget Reservoir, the Megget Water, Mountbenger, the former Tibbie Shiels Inn, the Yarrow Water and the Glen Cafe overlooking the Loch of the Lowes.

Peebles (West) railway station was one of two railway stations that served the burgh of Peebles, Peeblesshire, Scotland from 1864 to 1950 on the Symington, Biggar and Broughton Railway and Peebles Railway.
