Kailzie Gardens

Horsburgh Castle, also known as Horsbrugh Castle or Horsbrugh Tower, is a ruined tower house castle by the River Tweed, on the A72 road from Peebles to Galashiels, near Glentress in the Scottish Borders area of Scotland. The ruins date from the 16th century and was built by the Horsburghs. The villages of Over Horsbrugh, Nether Horsburgh, Kailzie, and Kailzie Gardens are close by, as is the ruined Nether Horsburgh Castle.

It served as a hospital for injured service personnel during the First World War before reverting to hotel use. Peebles Hydro is a category B listed building, and is still operated as a hotel.

Nether Horsburgh Castle is a ruined tower house near Cardrona, in the Scottish Borders, in the former county of Peebleshire. It is situated at the back of a farmstead, 3.5 miles (5.6 km) southwest of the market town of Peebles, at grid reference grid reference NT304396, on the A72 road. Access may be gained by permission from the adjoining farmstead, Nether Horsburgh Farm.

Cardrona Forest consists of a mixed conifer woodland with upgraded facilities. It is part of a portfolio of forests managed by Forestry and Land Scotland, including Hyndlee Forest, Swinnie Plantation, Innerleithen Forest, Elibank and Traquair, Yair Forest, Cademuir Forest, Craik Forest, Thornielee Forest, Glentress Forest, Caberston, and Newcastleton Forest.

Whitestone Park is a sports ground in Peebles, Scottish Borders, Scotland, used for football and cricket. It has been the home ground of Peebles Rovers F.C. since 1906, including when they were members of the Scottish Football League between 1923 and 1926. It is also used by Peebles County Cricket Club.

Peebles High School is a state run comprehensive school for girls and boys aged 12–18 located in Peebles in the Scottish Borders. It was originally named Bonnington Park Academy in 1858. Since then, it has expanded and is now attended by 1,500 pupils from all over the Tweeddale area. The school was expanded in 2000 when The Millennium Wing was added. This expansion meant a great increase in size and capacity including a Learning Resource Centre and entire business suite. A new sports centre was completed in 2014. In 2013, the school was ranked 28th in Scotland for Higher exam passes.The school was damaged severely by a serious fire on 28 November 2019, which burned down approximately a third of the school and forced its closure for several weeks.
