Nus is a town and comune in the Aosta Valley region of northern Italy.

The Aosta Valley (Italian: Valle d'Aosta [ˈvalle daˈɔsta]; French: Vallée d'Aoste [vä.ˈl̪e.ˈd̪ɔs̪t̪]) is a mountainous autonomous region in northwestern Italy. It is bordered by Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, France, to the west, Valais, Switzerland, to the north, and by Piedmont, Italy, to the south and east. The regional capital is Aosta. Covering an area of 3,263 km2 (1,260 sq mi) and with a population of about 128,000, it is the smallest, least populous, and least densely populated region of Italy. The province of Aosta having been dissolved in 1945, the Aosta Valley region was the first region of Italy to abolish provincial subdivisions, followed by Friuli-Venezia Giulia in 2017 (where they were reestablished later). Provincial administrative functions are provided by the regional government. The region is divided into 74 comuni (French: communes). The official languages are Italian and French; Valdôtain, a dialect of Franco-Provençal, is also officially recognized. Italian is spoken as a mother tongue by 77.29% of the population, Valdôtain by 17.91%, and French by 1.25%. In 2009, reportedly 50.53% of the population could speak all three languages.

Brissogne (Valdôtain: Brèissogne) is a town and comune in the Aosta Valley region of northwestern Italy.

Monte Emilius (French: Mont Émilius) (3,559 m) is a mountain of the Graian Alps in Aosta Valley, north-western Italy. Located just above the town of Aosta, from where it is visible looking southwards behind the lower Becca di Nona, it is usually climbed starting from the ski resort of Pila, at a height of 1,870 m.

Verrayes (Valdôtain: Vèèi) is a town and comune in the Aosta Valley region of north-western Italy.

Pollein (Valdôtain: Polèn or Pollèn) is a town and comune in the Aosta Valley region of north-western Italy.

Becca di Nona (French: Pic de Nona) is a peak in the Graian Alps of the Aosta Valley in north-western Italy. Together with Monte Emilius, it is one of the main mountains visible from Aosta looking southwards.

Saint-Denis (Valdôtain: Sen-Din-ì) is a town and comune in the Aosta Valley region of north-western Italy near the ruins of Cly castle.

Punta Garin or Pic Garin or Pointe Garin (3,448 m) is a mountain of the Graian Alps, just south of Monte Emilius in Aosta Valley, Italy. It boasts a pyramidal summit.

The Buthier is a mountain torrent in north-west Italy. A left bank tributary of the Dora Baltea, its entire course lies within the Valpelline, a valley in the region of Aosta Valley.

Cly is a castle in the Italian town of Saint-Denis, overlooking the Dora Baltea (French: Doire baltée) river, in Aosta Valley, northwest Italy. It belongs to the so-called primitive style of castle, consisting of a keep with a surrounding wall. The ruins rise from a bed of metamorphic rock, on the edge of a fault line which extends to the Castle of Quart.

Punta Tersiva (French: Pointe Tersive) (3,512m) is a mountain of the Graian Alps in Aosta Valley, north-western Italy. It is described as an "elegant, pyramid shaped mountain".The mountain is a tough climb, and most of the famous peaks of the Alps are visible from its summit on a clear day, with Gran Paradiso especially visible.
