Merrimac railway station

Queensland Independent College was a private, primary school in Merrimac, Gold Coast, Australia. It was founded in 2008 as the Queensland Montessori College, with a view to creating a sustainable school to replace a previous Montessori school that had closed down. The first intake of students occurred at the start of 2009. The school closed down in June 2017, most of the students were migrated to Silkwood (school) at the beginning of the second term of the 2017 school year. The school was coeducational, non-denominational and emphasised specialised educational attention in a relaxed, supportive environment. It originally focused on the Montessori method of education, a child-centric method of teaching that focused on independence, self-discipline and thinking skills, with light external control of the children. As the curriculum evolved it sought the same aims by including Dewey's progressive education, integrated curriculum, Kolb's VAK & experiential learning, Gardner's Multiple Intelligences and Harvard University's Teaching for Understanding, in order to "incorporate the positive aspects of each to fully engage all learners at all times." Prior to closing, the school covered Montessori cycles 1 to 3 (Prep to Year 7: up to age 12).

Schmidt Farmhouse & Outbuildings is a heritage-listed homestead at 3 Worongary Road, Worongary, City of Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia. It was built from 1880s to c. 1910. It was added to the Queensland Heritage Register on 8 April 1997.

Palm Meadows International Baseball Facility is an Australian baseball field located on the Gold Coast, Queensland. It is owned by Hungtat Worldwide Pty Ltd (Trading as Palm Meadows Golf course) and is leased through Gold Coast city council. It is currently home to the Major League Baseball Australian Academy Program (MLBAAP). The stadium is widely regarded as one of Australia's premium baseball facilities and was used by the gold medal United States national baseball team for their successful pre-Olympic Games training in 2000. It has also been home to the Gold Coast Clippers and Daikyo Dolphins when they played in the now defunct Australian Baseball League and International Baseball League of Australia. It has also been a training facility for the Australia national baseball team, Canada national baseball team, Queensland Rams and various Korean and Japanese teams as well as being the host of the 2008 Olympic Games Qualification, Senior and Junior Oceanic Championships, Australian Baseball Federation Diamond Awards and several goodwill series as part of the MLBAAP program.

The 2012 All Stars Match was the third of the annual representative exhibition matches played between the Indigenous All Stars and the NRL All Stars team which was held on 4 February 2012 at the Gold Coast's Skilled Park.

The 2012 Gold Coast Titans season was the 6th in the club's history. Coached by John Cartwright and captained by Scott Prince they competed in the National Rugby League's 2012 Telstra Premiership. They finished the regular season 11th (out of 16), failing to make the finals for the second consecutive year. Nate Myles was named the club's player of the year.

The 2009 Gold Coast Titans season was the third in the club's history. They competed in the National Rugby League's 2009 Telstra Premiership, finishing the regular season 3rd (out of 16), and for the first time reached the finals only to be knocked out by eventual grand finalists, the Parramatta Eels.

The 2010 Gold Coast Titans season was the 4th in the club's history and they competed in the NRL's 2010 Telstra Premiership. They were coached by John Cartwright and captain by Scott Prince. Gold Coast finishing the regular season 4th (out of 16) and fell just one game short of the Grand Final losing to the Sydney Roosters in the Preliminary Final.

The 2008 Gold Coast Titans season was the 2nd in the club's history. They competed in the NRL's 2008 Telstra Premiership coached by John Cartwright and co-captained by Luke Bailey and Scott Prince. After 10 rounds of the premiership the Titans found themselves leading the competition with 7 wins from 9 games before slumping to finish the regular season 13th (out of 16) and failing to make the finals. Preston Campbell was awarded the Paul Broughton Medal for the club's player of the year.

The 2013 Gold Coast Titans season was the 7th in the club's history. Coached by John Cartwright and co-captained by Greg Bird and Nate Myles, they competed in the NRL's 2013 Telstra Premiership. Gold Coast finished the regular season in 9th (out of 16) and failed to qualify the finals for the third consecutive year.

Robina Stadium, also known by its sponsored name Cbus Super Stadium, is a rectangular football stadium in the Gold Coast suburb of Robina, Queensland. The main usage is as the home ground to the National Rugby League's Gold Coast Titans; this venue sometimes hosts the A-League team Brisbane Roar FC. Robina Stadium is also used for Rugby Union, Soccer, Rugby Sevens, Rugby league Test Matches and has hosted Rugby league World Cup matches. Construction of the venue started in 2006, and finished in February 2008, in time for the 2008 National Rugby League season, when it became the new home of the Titans. The venue will be used for the 2032 Summer Olympics and will host preliminary Football.
