St Paul's Church, Broadoak

Atrim is a small village in Dorset, England, just north of the large town, Bridport. It is situated on the River Simene. The nearest village is Dottery, closely followed by the larger village of Salway Ash. Atrim is made up of a few houses, and is very near the famous Monarch's Way.

Symondsbury () is a village and civil parish in southwest Dorset, England, 1.5 miles (2.4 km) west of Bridport and 16 miles (26 km) west of Dorchester. The village is located just to the north of the A35 trunk road, which runs between Southampton and Honiton. The village has a pub (the Ilchester Arms), a pottery and a primary school. The village is the head of Symondsbury Parish which extends from Eype and West Cliff (West Bay) in the south, to the Marshwood Vale in the north. The village is set in the Dorset Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). In the 2011 census the parish had a population of 1,059.

Holy Trinity Church is a Church of England church in Salway Ash, Dorset, England. The church was designed by George Crickmay and built in 1887–89. It now forms part of the Beaminster Area Team Ministry.

St Saviour's Church is a Church of England church in Dottery, Dorset, England. Erected in 1881–82, the corrugated iron church (Tin tabernacle) is the only one of its type in Dorset used for regular worship. Today the church forms part of the United Benefice of Askerswell, Loders, Powerstock and Symondsbury.

The Marshwood Vale (or Vale of Marshwood) is a low-lying, bowl-shaped valley of Lower Lias clay, in the western tip of the county of Dorset in south-west England. It lies to the north of the A35 trunk road between the towns of Bridport and Lyme Regis, and to the south of the two highest hills in Dorset, Lewesdon Hill (279m) and Pilsdon Pen (277m). It is drained by the River Char, which flows south-west to its mouth on the English Channel coast at Charmouth. All of the vale lies within the Dorset Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. There is an electoral ward with the same name stretching from Whitchurch Canonicororum north to Thorncombe. The total population of this ward is 1,717.

Chideock ( CHID-ək) is a village and civil parish in south west Dorset, England, situated close to the English Channel between Bridport and Lyme Regis. Dorset County Council's 2013 estimate of the parish population is 550. Chideock's economy mostly comprises agriculture (arable and pastoral) and tourism. The parish includes part of the Jurassic Coast, a World Heritage Site. During much of its history Chideock has had a strong tradition of Catholicism; in the late 16th century four Chideock men were executed for their faith and became known as the Chideock Martyrs. There is a memorial to the men in the village. The A35 trunk road passes through the village, which means the main street can have high volumes of traffic.

Allington is a village and civil parish in Dorset, England, 1 mile (1.6 km) north-west from the town of Bridport, with which it is physically contiguous; much of Allington lies within Bridport parish. In the 2011 census Allington civil parish had 371 dwellings, 339 households and a population of 766.Allington Hill rises to 89 metres (292 ft) above the village; it is managed by the Woodland Trust. The hill is characteristic of the Upper Greensand hills and ridges found in the Marshwood and Powerstock Vales National Character Area. In 1086 in the Domesday Book Allington was recorded as Adelingtone; it had 21 households, 3 ploughlands, 10 acres (4.0 ha) of meadow and one mill. It was in Goderthorn Hundred and the lord and tenant-in-chief was Turstin son of Rolf. The parish church at North Allington, dedicated to St Swithun, was designed by Charles Wallis of Dorchester and built in 1826–27, and is a Grade II* listed building. It is in classical style, and is unusual for the survival of a high proportion of the original internal fittings, including the pews, gallery, a pulpit (of two originally present) and glazing.

Thorncombe Beacon is a hill between Bridport and Charmouth in Dorset, England. It lies about 1 kilometre (0.62 mi) west of Eype Mouth and 2 kilometres (1.2 mi) east of Seatown. It is in the south-west part of Symondsbury parish close to the parish of Chideock. It is 157 metres (515 ft) high, compared to 191 metres (627 ft) for Golden Cap which lies about 3 kilometres (1.9 mi) to the west. It forms part of the Jurassic Coast, a World Heritage Site and the South West Coast Path and the Monarch's Way skirt the hilltop. The hill is owned by the National Trust. Three bowl barrows to the north-east of the summit constitute a scheduled monument.

Stoke Abbott is a village and civil parish in west Dorset, England, 2 miles (3.2 km) west of Beaminster. In 2013 the estimated population of the parish was 190.The author Ralph Wightman, agriculturist, broadcaster, and native of Dorset, described the village as "a beautiful place of deep lanes, orchards and old houses, with a church of quiet charm", and, in a similar vein, Sir Frederick Treves in 1906 considered it "as pretty a village as any in Dorset".On Waddon Hill to the northwest of the village are the remains of earthworks of an early settlement, consisting of a low bank 9 metres (30 ft) wide and traces of a ditch, though historic quarrying around the hill may have destroyed more. Mid-1st-century Roman and Romano-British military artefacts were found on the hill's southern slopes in 1876–1878. In the Domesday Book in 1086 the village was recorded as Stoche and had 32 households.The parish church of St Mary the Virgin has Norman origins but has been altered and added to over the centuries. The 12th-century font is notable. The poet William Crowe was rector here between 1782 and 1786; at the end of his incumbency he published his most well known piece, Lewesdon Hill, about the hill to the west of the village. The Very Rev Hedley Robert Burrows (1887–1983), who later became Archdeacon of Winchester and then Dean of Hereford, was incumbent at Stoke Abbott for a time.

Pymore is a small village one mile north of Bridport, Dorset. Served by a pub, The Pymore Inn, Pymore has recently undergone a redevelopment - the site of the old rope factory, around the River Brit, now contains a small development of new houses and flats. Pymore has a long history of making rope, which used to employ many of the people living in the village, though today many residents work in Bridport. Pymore is surrounded by agricultural land, with a small copse and reed bed nearby, providing habitats for wildlife.

Eype ( EEP) is a small village in southwest Dorset, England, situated 1+1⁄4 miles (2 km) southwest of Bridport. It lies on the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site on the English Channel and is within the civil parish of Symondsbury. Eype means "steep place". Many of the village buildings can be traced back to the late eighteenth or early nineteenth centuries, but little is known in detail until the Victorian era. To the west of Eype Beach is Golden Cap, the highest cliff on the south coast of England at 191 m (627 ft) above sea level. In 2011 a beach hut at Eype Beach went on the market for £200,000.A notable resident was the antiques dealer Paul Atterbury.St Peter's Church is regularly used for art exhibitions, known as Eype Centre for the Arts and was also used to record P.J.
