Dasmariñas is a barangay in Makati, Metro Manila, Philippines. It occupies 1.9033 square kilometers or 190.33 hectares and is bounded by Epifanio de los Santos Avenue (EDSA) to the north, McKinley Road to the northeast, Pili Avenue/Forbes Park South to the east, Maricaban Creek to the south, and Ecology Village to the west. It is roughly coterminous with Dasmariñas Village, a gated private residential subdivision. According to the 2015 census, it is inhabited by 5,589 people. The village is managed by the Dasmariñas Village Association (DVA).

Assumption College San Lorenzo (AC, Assumption SanLo, Assumption Makati), is a private, Roman Catholic basic and higher education institution exclusively for girls run by the Religious of the Assumption in San Lorenzo Village, Makati, Philippines. It was established by the Assumption Sisters in 1958 and named Assumption Convent. Assumption San Lorenzo is the successor of the closed school named Assumption Convent which was located along Herran Street, Ermita, Manila. It provides education from pre-school, elementary, secondary, tertiary, to graduate level. Magallanes station is an elevated Manila Metro Rail Transit (MRT) station situated on Line 3. The station is named after the adjacent Magallanes district of Makati, which in turn is named after Ferdinand Magellan, who discovered the Philippines for Spain on April 15, 1521. Although the station is named after Magallanes, it also serves passengers from Kayamanan-C and barangays Dasmariñas, Pio del Pilar, and San Lorenzo in Makati, and those from Taguig. The station is the twelfth station for trains headed to Taft Avenue and the second station for trains headed to North Avenue. It is the last station in Makati before it crosses over to Pasay.

Ayala station (also known as Ayala Center station) is an underground Manila Metro Rail Transit (MRT) station situated on Line 3. It is one of two underground stations that can be found on the line, the other being Buendia. The station is located in Makati and is named so due to its proximity to two places bearing the Ayala name: Ayala Center and Ayala Avenue. The station is the eleventh station for trains headed to Taft Avenue and the third station for trains headed to North Avenue. The most recognizable landmark near the station is Ayala Center, one of the most popular shopping centers in the Philippines. It is one of two stations that are considered within the Makati Central Business District (the other being Buendia). It is one of five stations on the line where passengers can catch a train going in the opposite direction without paying a new fare due to the station's layout. The other four stations are Araneta Center-Cubao, Shaw Boulevard, Boni, Buendia, and Taft Avenue. Excluding Araneta Center-Cubao station, it is also one of four stations on the line with its concourse level located above the platform. The station also has a shopping center within the station (similar to Shaw Boulevard station), with restaurants, shops, and facilities surrounding the concourse level of the station above the main platform.

McKinley Exchange Corporate Center is a 5-story commercial building, part of a mixed-use complex developed by Ayala Land Inc. as part of the ₱65 billion redevelopment and rebranding of the city of Makati. It is located along McKinley Road corner EDSA in Barangay Dasmariñas and was slated to become the new transport hub of Makati. It is also one of the newest upcoming PEZA-accredited zones, soon to be at par with other 39 Makati zones such as Zuellig Building, RCBC Plaza, and Makati Stock Exchange. Unlike typical commercial offices in the Philippines, tenants or locators of the McKinley Exchange Corporate Center are required to regularly update the Makati government with a list of their labor requirements, so they can hire and prioritize qualified city residents. Tenants are also required to provide a list of training schools or centers that can teach disqualified candidates so they can be reconsidered for employment.

Holiday Inn & Suites Makati is a hotel in Makati, Metro Manila, Philippines. It opened on April 1, 2013, as part of the New Glorietta Phase 1 redevelopment. The hotel is built on top of a redeveloped Glorietta shopping mall in Ayala Center. Ayala Land reopened Glorietta 1 on November 5, 2012, while Glorietta 2 was reopened on December 7, 2012. In 2016, the hotel converted its smoking floor into non-smoking which makes all its guest rooms 100% smoke-free.

One Ayala is an under construction mixed-use development developed by Ayala Land located at Ayala Center in Makati, Metro Manila, Philippines. The development is located across Glorietta mall and occupies the former InterContinental Manila and EDSA Carpark sites. One Ayala aims to combine retail, hotel, and office facilities in a single contiguous space. Construction began in 2016 with the demolition of InterContinental Manila and EDSA Carpark and parts of the development opened in 2022.

InterContinental Manila (colloquially Intercon/ICM) was a five-star InterContinental hotel located on Ayala Avenue in Makati, Metro Manila, Philippines. At the time of its closure, it is the longest operating international chain hotel in the Philippines. It was designed by National Artist Leandro Locsin.The hotel opened on April 11, 1969 and ceased operations on December 31, 2015. It was the first 5-star hotel in Makati and the second InterContinental hotel in Asia. All of its 332 guest rooms and suites were updated in 2006 to incorporate traditional and modern Filipino design.

The Magallanes Interchange is a four-level partial turbine interchange in Makati, Metro Manila, the Philippines, serving as the junction between the South Luzon Expressway (SLEX), Osmeña Highway, and Epifanio de los Santos Avenue (EDSA). It is also an interchange between the two train lines of Metro Manila, the MRT-3, which is over EDSA, and the PNR Metro Commuter, beside SLEX. It is currently one of the busiest intersections in Metro Manila.

EDSA station is a railway station located on the South Main Line in Makati, Metro Manila, Philippines. It derives its name from nearby Epifanio de los Santos Avenue (EDSA, the avenue which it is named after). EDSA is the eleventh station from Tutuban and is one of three stations serving Makati, the other two being Buendia and Pasay Road, and is the last station to be physically located in Makati before entering Taguig. The station was rebuilt in 2005 by the Makati City Government as part of the overall redevelopment and beautification of the Magallanes Interchange Park which sits below the interchange. As a result, unlike other stations, EDSA station was not included in the 2009 remodeling of stations as part of PNR's rehabilitation efforts. A product of the prior rehabilitation is the station's lower platforms, which are designed only to accommodate older long-distance trains. For the convenience of passengers, the station has staircases to facilitate the boarding and alighting of passengers on PNR diesel multiple unit trains. Since September 10, 2018, PNR extended the Caloocan Shuttle Line from Dela Rosa to FTI as its new terminus, thus EDSA station is included in the newly extended line.

The 2007 Glorietta explosion occurred in the Glorietta 2 section of the Glorietta shopping complex at Ayala Center in Makati, Metropolitan Manila, in the Philippines, on October 19, 2007, at around 1:25 PM PST. Initial reports indicated that the explosion originated from an LPG tank explosion in a restaurant in the mall. However, authorities were unable to confirm the true nature or source of the explosion. The blast killed eleven people and injured more than a hundred.
