Colegio San Agustín – Makati, also referred to by its acronym CSA or CSA-Makati, is a private, Catholic, co-educational basic education institution run by the Augustinian Province of the Most Holy Name of Jesus of the Philippines of the Order of Saint Augustine in Dasmariñas Village, Makati, Metro Manila, Philippines. The school is one of the most diverse in the Philippines in terms of nationality, with 11% of the student population coming from over 40 countries. Like its sister schools (Colegio San Agustin-Bacolod, Colegio San Agustin-Biñan and Colegio San Agustin-Bulacan), the students of CSA-Makati are called "Augustinians" (Filipino: Agustino).

Ayala station (also known as Ayala Center station) is an underground Manila Metro Rail Transit (MRT) station situated on Line 3. It is one of two underground stations that can be found on the line, the other being Buendia. The station is located in Makati and is named so due to its proximity to two places bearing the Ayala name: Ayala Center and Ayala Avenue. The station is the eleventh station for trains headed to Taft Avenue and the third station for trains headed to North Avenue. The most recognizable landmark near the station is Ayala Center, one of the most popular shopping centers in the Philippines. It is one of two stations that are considered within the Makati Central Business District (the other being Buendia). It is one of five stations on the line where passengers can catch a train going in the opposite direction without paying a new fare due to the station's layout. The other four stations are Araneta Center-Cubao, Shaw Boulevard, Boni, Buendia, and Taft Avenue. Excluding Araneta Center-Cubao station, it is also one of four stations on the line with its concourse level located above the platform. The station also has a shopping center within the station (similar to Shaw Boulevard station), with restaurants, shops, and facilities surrounding the concourse level of the station above the main platform.

Assumption College San Lorenzo (AC, Assumption SanLo, Assumption Makati), is a private, Roman Catholic basic and higher education institution exclusively for girls run by the Religious of the Assumption in San Lorenzo Village, Makati, Philippines. It was established by the Assumption Sisters in 1958 and named Assumption Convent. Assumption San Lorenzo is the successor of the closed school named Assumption Convent which was located along Herran Street, Ermita, Manila. It provides education from pre-school, elementary, secondary, tertiary, to graduate level. The alumnae and present students of this school include daughters and granddaughters of Presidents, industrialists, politicians, actors/actresses and prominent figures in the Philippines.Assumption College is a charter member of the Philippine Accrediting Association of Schools, Colleges and Universities (PAASCU). It has earned Level IV accreditation on all of its respective departments and schools. The school is a member of Strategic Educational Alliance of Southeast Asia.

McKinley Exchange Corporate Center is a 5-story commercial building, part of a mixed-use complex developed by Ayala Land Inc. as part of the ₱65 billion redevelopment and rebranding of the city of Makati. It is located along McKinley Road corner EDSA in Barangay Dasmariñas and was slated to become the new transport hub of Makati. It is also one of the newest upcoming PEZA-accredited zones, soon to be at par with other 39 Makati zones such as Zuellig Building, RCBC Plaza, and Makati Stock Exchange. Unlike typical commercial offices in the Philippines, tenants or locators of the McKinley Exchange Corporate Center are required to regularly update the Makati government with a list of their labor requirements, so they can hire and prioritize qualified city residents. Tenants are also required to provide a list of training schools or centers that can teach disqualified candidates so they can be reconsidered for employment.

Magallanes station is an elevated Manila Metro Rail Transit (MRT) station situated on Line 3. The station is named after the adjacent Magallanes district of Makati, which in turn is named after Ferdinand Magellan, who discovered the Philippines for Spain on April 15, 1521. Although the station is named after Magallanes, it also serves passengers from Kayamanan-C and barangays Dasmariñas, Pio del Pilar, and San Lorenzo in Makati, and those from Taguig. The station is the twelfth station for trains headed to Taft Avenue and the second station for trains headed to North Avenue. It is the last station in Makati before it crosses over to Pasay.

One Ayala is an under construction mixed-use development developed by Ayala Land located at Ayala Center in Makati, Metro Manila, Philippines. The development is located across Glorietta mall and occupies the former InterContinental Manila and EDSA Carpark sites. One Ayala aims to combine retail, hotel, and office facilities in a single contiguous space. Construction began in 2016 with the demolition of InterContinental Manila and EDSA Carpark and parts of the development opened in 2022.

InterContinental Manila (colloquially Intercon/ICM) was a five-star InterContinental hotel located on Ayala Avenue in Makati, Metro Manila, Philippines. At the time of its closure, it is the longest operating international chain hotel in the Philippines. It was designed by National Artist Leandro Locsin.The hotel opened on April 11, 1969 and ceased operations on December 31, 2015. It was the first 5-star hotel in Makati and the second InterContinental hotel in Asia. All of its 332 guest rooms and suites were updated in 2006 to incorporate traditional and modern Filipino design.

Nielson Field (Luzon, the Philippines) was the location of the Far East Air Force headquarters. Most of the aircraft of the FEAF were based at either Clark Field or Nichols Field. The cultural site was an Honourable Mention in the 2001 UNESCO Asia Pacific Heritage Awards.

Holiday Inn & Suites Makati is a hotel in Makati, Metro Manila, Philippines. It opened on April 1, 2013, as part of the New Glorietta Phase 1 redevelopment. The hotel is built on top of a redeveloped Glorietta shopping mall in Ayala Center. The hotel is managed by InterContinental Hotels Group.Holiday Inn & Suites Makati is InterContinental Hotels Group’s second partnership with Ayala Land before InterContinental Manila. ceased to operate in 2015. Ayala Land reopened Glorietta 1 on November 5, 2012, while Glorietta 2 was reopened on December 7, 2012. Makati Hope Christian School (Abbreviation: MHCS; simplified Chinese 马加智嘉南学校; traditional Chinese: 馬加智嘉南學校; pinyin: Majiā zhì Jiā Nán xué xiào; Hokkien: Makāti ka lám Hào) is a Filipino-Chinese school in Makati founded in 1985. It is owned by the St. Francis Square group of companies. Its students have performed well in government-administered examinations such as the National Achievement Test (NAT). In school year 2012-2013, its High 4 students ranked first in the NAT among private schools in Makati. Currently, the school has ACSCU-ACI Level III Accreditation

Forbes Park is a private subdivision, gated community, and barangay in Makati, Metro Manila, Philippines. Established in 1949, Forbes Park was named after William Cameron Forbes, the fifth American Governor-General of the Philippines during the American Insular Government. The subdivision is divided into Forbes Park North and Forbes Park South by McKinley Road and is bounded roughly by Epifanio de los Santos Avenue to the northwest, Taguig (Fort Bonifacio which includes Bonifacio Global City) to the east, the Maricaban Creek to the south and southeast, and Acacia Avenue/Dasmariñas Village to the west. It was the first gated village in the Philippines to be developed by Ayala Corporation, Forbes Park was a catalyst for urban development in Makati. Forbes Park is home to the Manila Golf and Country Club and the Manila Polo Club. It has been called the "Beverly Hills of Manila" and many of the country's wealthiest families, as well as foreign diplomats, live there.The Santuario de San Antonio Parish, a Franciscan church, and San Antonio Plaza, a small commercial center, lie between North and South Forbes Park. Meanwhile, the Church of the Holy Trinity, an Anglican-Episcopalian pro-cathedral, is just across the street.
