Haus (historically Hougs) is a former municipality in the old Hordaland county, Norway. The municipality existed from 1838 until its dissolution in 1964. The 96-square-kilometre (37 sq mi) municipality encompassed the southern half of the island of Osterøy as well as the area across the Sørfjorden from the island to the east, south, and west (although the municipality was quite a bit larger when it was first created in 1838). The administrative centre was the village of Haus, where Haus Church is located.

The village lies across the Sørfjorden from the villages of Ytre Arna and Garnes. The village of Valestrandfossen lies about 7 kilometres (4.3 mi) north along the fjord. The 0.37-square-kilometre (91-acre) village has a population (2019) of 601 and a population density of 1,624 inhabitants per square kilometre (4,210/sq mi). The Osterøy Bridge is located about 4 kilometres (2.5 mi) south of Hausvik, connecting Osterøy island to the mainland of Bergen. Before the opening of the bridge in 1997, there was a regular ferry route from Hausvik to Garnes. The ferry route was discontinued after the bridge opened.Haus Church is located in the village, serving the southwestern part of Osterøy. The village of Haus was the administrative centre of the old municipality of Haus that existed from 1838 until 1964.

It is located in the village of Hausvik on the western shore of the island of Osterøy. It is the church for the Haus parish which is part of the Åsane prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Bjørgvin. The white, wooden church was built in a long church design in 1874 using plans drawn up by the architect Ole Vangberg. The church seats about 460 people.

Takvam Station (Norwegian: Takvam holdeplass) was a railway station located at Takvam in Bergen, Norway that closed on 9 December 2012. Prior to closure, the station was served by two daily departures per direction by the Bergen Commuter Rail operated by Norges Statsbaner. The station opened in 1966, replacing the former Herland Station.

Arna is a borough in the city of Bergen in Vestland county, Norway. It is one of eight boroughs in Bergen. It encompasses the northeastern part of the municipality of Bergen. Arna was merged into the city of Bergen in 1972. Prior to that, it was the separate municipality of Arna. The main population centres in the borough are the villages of Indre Arna, Ytre Arna, and Espeland.

Indre Arna is a suburban village in the borough of Arna in the municipality of Bergen in Vestland county, Norway. While Indre Arna is relatively far from most of the city centre by road, there is an 8-minute train journey through the mountain Ulriken from Indre Arna to the city centre. Arna Church is located in the village. The 3.96-square-kilometre (980-acre) village has a population (2012) of 6,536 and a population density of 1,651 inhabitants per square kilometre (4,280/sq mi). Since 2013, Statistics Norway no longer tracked separate population statistics for Indre Arna, instead the village was incorporated into a larger urban area called Arna.

The administrative centre of the municipality was the village of Indre Arna. The municipality stretched from the village of Ytre Arna to Trengereid along the coast and then inland about 8 kilometres (5.0 mi) to the Espeland area. Today, the area of the former municipality makes up the borough of Arna in the city of Bergen.

Takvam Chapel (Norwegian: Takvam kapell) is a parish church of the Church of Norway in Bergen Municipality in Vestland county, Norway. It is located in the village of Takvam, in the eastern part of the municipality. It is one of two churches in the Arna parish which is part of the Åsane prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Bjørgvin. The white, wooden church was built in a rectangular design in 1988 using plans drawn up by the architect Andreas Vold. The church seats about 75 people.

It is one of two churches in the Arna parish which is part of the Åsane prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Bjørgvin. The white, stone church was built in a long church design in 1864 using plans drawn up by the architect Frederik Hannibal Stockfleth. The church seats about 280 people.

Arna Station (Norwegian: Arna stasjon) is the second largest train station in Bergen, Norway; located in the Arna borough on the east side of Ulriken and between the two tunnels Ulriken Tunnel and Arnanipa. The present station was opened in 1964, when the tunnels were completed. The old station, located north of the new station, is still in use for heritage trains on Gamle Vossebanen. All passenger trains on the Bergen Line stop at Arna. The most frequent trains are shuttle trains which run between the Bergen Railway Station and Arna, providing the fastest connection between downtown Bergen and Arna. These normally operate each half-hour, or hourly in weekends and evenings.

The Osterøy Bridge (Norwegian: Osterøybrua) is a suspension bridge in Vestland county, Norway. The bridge connects the Kvisti farm area on the island of Osterøy in Osterøy Municipality with the Herland farm area on the mainland in Bergen Municipality east of the city of Bergen. The bridge is the third largest suspension bridge in Norway. It is part of Norwegian County Road 566 (Fylkesvei 566).The Osterøy Bridge is a 1,065-metre (3,494 ft) long suspension bridge that has a main span of 595 metres (1,952 ft). There are 8 spans, and none of the piers are in the water, just on land. There is 53 metres (174 ft) of clearance below the bridge. The two suspension towers are each 121.5 metres (399 ft) high. The bridge was completed on 3 October 1997 and cost about 308 million kr. The bridge was designed by the structural engineering firm Aas-Jakobsen. It was put into service 28 years after the first plans for a connection between Osterøy and Bergen were prepared. It was opened for traffic by Sissel Rønbeck, the Norwegian Minister of Transport and Communications. The bridge was built to withstand quite strong winds. Experts have indicated that the bridge should be capable of surviving an extreme storm. The bridge is tuned so that its greatest oscillation occurs when the wind is about 10 metres per second (22 mph) such as a light breeze.

Old Åsane Church (Norwegian: Åsane gamle kirke) is a former parish church of the Church of Norway in Bergen Municipality in Vestland county, Norway. It is located in the Saurås neighborhood in the borough of Åsane in the city of Bergen. It used to be the church for the Åsane parish, which is part of the Åsane prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Bjørgvin. The white, stone church was built in a long church design in 1795 using plans drawn up by an unknown architect. The church seats about 240 people. The church was consecrated in 1795 by the Bishop Johan Nordahl Brun. The church is no longer regularly used since the "new" Åsane Church was built in 1993. This church is now mostly used for funerals and weddings as well as special events.
