Old Åsane Church

Bruvik Church (Norwegian: Bruvik kyrkje) is a parish church of the Church of Norway in Osterøy Municipality in Vestland county, Norway. It is located in the village of Bruvik. It is the church for the Bruvik parish which is part of the Åsane prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Bjørgvin. The white, wooden church was built in a long church design in 1867 using plans drawn up by the architect Frederik Hannibal Stockfleth. The church seats about 350 people.

The Osterøy Bridge is located about 4 kilometres (2.5 mi) south of Hausvik, connecting Osterøy island to the mainland of Bergen. Before the opening of the bridge in 1997, there was a regular ferry route from Hausvik to Garnes. The ferry route was discontinued after the bridge opened.Haus Church is located in the village, serving the southwestern part of Osterøy. The village of Haus was the administrative centre of the old municipality of Haus that existed from 1838 until 1964.

It is located in the village of Ytre Arna in the borough of Åsane. It is the church for the Ytre Arna parish which is part of the Åsane prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Bjørgvin. The white, wooden church was built in a long church design in 1899 using plans drawn up by the architect Schak Bull. The church seats about 250 people.

Ytre Arna Church (Ytre Arna kirke) is also located in the village.The 1.55-square-kilometre (380-acre) village has a population (2012) of 2,626 and a population density of 1,694 inhabitants per square kilometre (4,390/sq mi). Since 2013, Statistics Norway no longer tracked separate population statistics for Ytre Arna, instead the village was incorporated into a larger urban area called Arna.

Valestrandfossen or Valestrandsfossen is a village in the municipality of Osterøy, adjacent to Norway's second-largest city and municipality Bergen, Vestland county. It lies at Sørfjorden 6 kilometres (3.7 mi) to the west and 7 kilometres (4.3 mi) south of the municipal centre of Lonevåg. Sites worth mentioning include Hamre and Hamre Church. Valestrandfossen has shops, a gas station, primary school, hairdressers, pubs, and Lerøy Fossen AS, the world's largest trout smokehouse. Valestrandfossen is the largest settlement on the whole island of Osterøy. The 0.94-square-kilometre (230-acre) village has a population (2019) of 1,303 and a population density of 1,386 inhabitants per square kilometre (3,590/sq mi). Located by the Sørfjorden, it has a regular ferry (the MF Ole Bull) that crosses the fjord to Åsane in Bergen. The famous Norwegian violinist and composer Ole Bull had his summer house here. In 1858, he bought a farm in Valestrand. The house was designed during 1865 by his youngest brother, architect Georg Andreas Bull. Ole Bull lived there for a time principally between tours. In 1872, he bought property on the island of Lysøen in what is now Bjørnafjorden Municipality, south of Bergen which became the primary residence of his family.

Lonevåg is the administrative centre of Osterøy municipality in Vestland county, Norway. The village is located on the northern coast of the island of Osterøy, at the end of the 5-kilometre (3.1 mi) long Lonevågen fjord, which branches off the main Osterfjorden. The 0.91-square-kilometre (220-acre) village has a population (2019) of 874 and a population density of 960 inhabitants per square kilometre (2,500/sq mi). There are some shops and some small industry in the village.

Arna Station (Norwegian: Arna stasjon) is the second largest train station in Bergen, Norway; located in the Arna borough on the east side of Ulriken and between the two tunnels Ulriken Tunnel and Arnanipa. The present station was opened in 1964, when the tunnels were completed. The old station, located north of the new station, is still in use for heritage trains on Gamle Vossebanen. All passenger trains on the Bergen Line stop at Arna. The most frequent trains are shuttle trains which run between the Bergen Railway Station and Arna, providing the fastest connection between downtown Bergen and Arna. These normally operate each half-hour, or hourly in weekends and evenings.
