The Plough at Eaves

Eaves is a hamlet in Lancashire, England, six miles north of Preston. It is part of the Fylde, a flat area of land between the Forest of Bowland and the Lancashire coast. The village has a school, St. Mary and St. Andrew's Catholic Primary School, and a pub, the Plough at Eaves, which is the oldest in the Fylde. It was originally called the Cheadle Plough Inn.Eaves is in the parish of Woodplumpton.

In 2001 it has a population of 1111. Since 1267 the Duchy of Lancaster has had land holdings in Myerscough.

Myerscough and Bilsborrow () is a civil parish in the Borough of Wyre in Lancashire, England. It was formed on 1 April 2003 as a merger of the former parishes of Bilsborrow and Myerscough, and lies on the eastern border of the Fylde plain. The largest settlement is the village of Bilsborrow. The hamlet of Brock is immediately to the north of Bilsborrow, and the hamlet of Myerscough lies about a mile (2 km) to the west of Bilsborrow. The River Brock flows east-to-west along the northern border of the former Bilsborrow parish and through the former Myerscough parish. The Lancaster Canal, West Coast Main Line, A6 road and M6 motorway all pass north-to-south through the parish. There are canal moorings at Bilsborrow, and a marina at the Barton Grange Garden Centre to the north. When the Lancaster and Preston Junction Railway opened in 1840, it built Roebuck railway station next to the village, but in 1849 it was replaced by Brock railway station, half-a-mile (1 km) to the north, which survived until 1939.The Lancashire School of Agriculture moved onto the site of Myerscough Hall in 1969 and later was renamed Myerscough College in 1993.

St Anne's is a church in the village of Woodplumpton in Lancashire, England. It is an active Anglican parish church in the Diocese of Blackburn, and the archdeaconry of Lancaster, and the deanery of Garstang. The church is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II* listed building. The churchyard at St Anne's is the supposed burial place of a 17th-century alleged witch named Meg Shelton.

The Amounderness Hundred ( ə-MUN-dər-nəs) is one of the six subdivisions of the historic county of Lancashire in North West England, but the name is older than the system of hundreds first recorded in the 13th century and might best be described as the name of a Norse wapentake. In the Domesday Book of 1086, it was used for some territories north of the River Ribble included together with parts of Yorkshire. The area eventually became part of Lancashire, sitting geographically between the Rivers Lune and Ribble, in the strip of coast between the Irish Sea and Bowland Forest.

The church was built in 1895–96, and was designed by R. Knill Freeman. It is constructed in sandstone, and consists of a nave, aisles, a chancel and a southwest steeple. The church holds services on Sundays and Wednesdays. It is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II listed building.

Bilsborrow is a village and former civil parish, now in the parish of Myerscough and Bilsborrow, in the Wyre district, in the county of Lancashire, England. The village population at the 2011 census was 632. It is on the A6 road and the Lancaster Canal. It is approximately 1 mile (2 km) east of Myerscough. Bilsborrow has a primary school, a post office and local shop, and a fish and chip shop, St Hilda's Church of England church and two public houses, the Roebuck and the White Bull, a canalside tavern Owd Nell's Tavern, a Premier Inn hotel, a canalside lodge, a guest house, and a themed thatched hamlet 'village' with restaurant, hotel and tavern. In 2018, John Cross Church of England Primary School celebrated the 300th anniversary of its founding by John Cross, a local Christian benefactor. In the former parish is the hamlet of Duncombe. In the 1950s there was a large paper mill at Matshead. The River Brock is crossed by Walmesley Bridge; it is dated 1883 but looks much older.
