The Château de Buchenek is a castle in the commune of Soultz-Haut-Rhin in the Haut-Rhin département of France. Dating from the second half of the 13th century, it was altered, possibly in the 14th century, and in the 16th century.The castle was first recorded in 1251. The logis, of a rectangular plan, possibly still dates from this period at the lower level; it was altered in the 14th century (there is evidence of building work) as well as in the second half of the 16th century (staircase tower). Restored after the Thirty Years' War, the castle was sold as national property. In the 19th century it was used as a factory. Bought by the town in 1976, the castle has had a significant restoration and, since 1990, has housed the municipal museum.It has been listed since 1984 as a monument historique by the French Ministry of Culture.

Soultz-Haut-Rhin (German: Sulz/Oberelsaß) is a commune in the Haut-Rhin département in Grand Est in north-eastern France. Its inhabitants are called Soultziens (male) or Soultziennes (female).

The canton de Soultz-Haut-Rhin is a French former administrative division, located in the département of Haut-Rhin and the region Alsace. It had 23,348 inhabitants (2012). The Parc de la Marseillaise is a public arboretum and botanical garden in the center of the town of Guebwiller, in the department of Haut-Rhin, in the Alsace Region of France. It is classified by the French Ministry of Culture as one of the Notable Gardens of France. The park was created by landscape designer Édouard André between 1897 and 1899, and contains a large fountain, bandstand, a great variety of trees, rhododendrons and roses, and colorful seasonal flower beds of begonias, dahlias and iris.

From 1871 to 1918, Bezirk Oberelsaß was a region (Bezirk) in the southern part of the province of Elsaß-Lothringen in the German Empire. Notre-Dame (Church of Our Lady) is a Neoclassical Catholic parish church in the town of Guebwiller, in the Haut-Rhin department of France. The church is classified as a monument historique by the French Ministry of Culture since 1841. The building is remarkable for its size and for the quality of its decoration; it is considered as the most important Neoclassical church in Alsace, and as an outstanding and most sumptuous example of early Neoclassical architecture.

Guebwiller (French: Guebwiller, pronounced [ɡebvilɛʁ]; Alsatian: Gàwiller [ˈkaːviləʁ]; German: Gebweiler) is a commune in the Haut-Rhin department in Grand Est currently in north-eastern France. It is situated 20 km (12 mi) northwest of Mulhouse at the foot of the Vosges mountains. The Ballon de Guebwiller, the highest point in the Vosges, lies 8 km (5.0 mi) to the west of the town. In 2018, Guebwiller had a population of 11,022 and its urban area had a population of 28,662.

Issenheim (French pronunciation: ​[isɑ̃nɛ̃]; German: Isenheim) is a commune in the Haut-Rhin department in Grand Est in north-eastern France. The Isenheim Altarpiece, currently on display at the Unterlinden Museum of Colmar, was completed in 1515 by Matthias Grünewald for a local monastery. Among his many other titles, Prince Albert II of Monaco is ceremonially styled as "Seigneur of Issenheim".
