Sher Mandal

Purana Qila (lit. 'Old Fort') is one of the oldest forts in Delhi, India. Built by the second Mughal Emperor Humayun and Surid Sultan Sher Shah Suri, it is thought by many to be located on the site of the ancient city of Indraprastha. The fort formed the inner citadel of the city of Dinpanah. It is located near the expansive Pragati Maidan exhibition ground and is separated from the Dhyanchand Stadium by the Mathura Road, Delhi.

Qila-i-Kuhna Mosque (Mosque of the Old Fort) is a mosque located inside the premises of Purana Qila (Old Fort) in Delhi, the capital of India. After Sher Shah Suri defeated Humayun, he occupied Purana Qila. There, he built the mosque for his private use, which became a "symbol of his royal aspiration". The mosque is believed to have been constructed in 1541 CE.

The National Zoological Park (originally Delhi Zoo) is a 176-acre (71 ha) zoo in New Delhi, India. A 16th-century citadel, a sprawling green island and a motley collection of animals and birds, all in the middle of a burgeoning urban Delhi. The zoo can be seen on foot or using a battery-operated vehicle which can be rented at the zoo. Visitors are not permitted to bring any food other than drinking water, but there is a canteen in the zoo. The zoo is closed on every Friday and national holidays.

Khairul Manazil or Khair-ul-Manazil (lit. 'the most auspicious of houses') is a historical masjid built in 1561 in New Delhi, India. The masjid is situated in the opposite of Purana Qila on Mathura Road, south east to Sher Shah Gate. The gateway of the masjid was made by red sandstone following Mughal architecture, but the inside structure of the building was made in Delhi Sultanate pattern.Currently the masjid is protected and maintained by the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI).

Pragati Maidan railway station is a small railway station in Pragati Maidan which is a residential and commercial neighborhood of the New Delhi district of Delhi. Its code is PGMD. The station is part of Delhi Suburban Railway. The station consist of 2 platforms.

Appu Ghar was an amusement park operated by International Amusement Limited, located in Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, India. It was spread over 15.5 acres (63,000 m2) of land and was India's first amusement park. It was established in 1984 to commemorate the 1982 Asian Games, and it was inaugurated on 19 November 1984 by then-Prime Minister of India, Rajiv Gandhi. The park closed down in 2008 after a legal ruling allocating the land for government use.

Pragati Maidan is a venue for large exhibitions and conventions in the city of New Delhi, India. It has an area of nearly 150 acres (more than 625,000m2) of exhibition space, being among the biggest exhibition centers in India.It is owned, operated, controlled and managed by India Trade Promotion Organization (ITPO), the trade promotion agency of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Govt. of India. It is partially under redevelopment since 2018 for the ambitious International Exhibition & Convention Centre (IECC) project.

Amritpex 2023 was the national philatelic exhibition organized by India Post, Government of India in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture and Philatelic Congress of India (PCI). It was held at Halls No. 5 of the Pragati Maidan Exhibition Complex, New Delhi, India from 11 to 15 February 2023.

The Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium, commonly known by its former name National Stadium, is a field hockey stadium in New Delhi, India. The stadium is named after former Indian field hockey player, Dhyan Chand. It served as the venue for the 1st Asian Games in 1951.

The 2011 Delhi bombing took place in the Indian capital Delhi on Wednesday, 7 September 2011 at 10:14 local time outside Gate No. 5 of the Delhi High Court, where a suspected briefcase bomb was planted. The blast killed 15 people and injured 79. Harkat-ul-Jihad al-Islami claimed responsibility for the attack, and is believed to have carried out the attack with support from the Indian Mujahideen, it stated motive was the commuting of the death sentence for 2001 Indian Parliament attack convict Afzal Guru.

The High Court of Delhi (IAST: dillī uchcha nyāyālaya) was established on 31 October 1966, through the Delhi High Court Act, 1966, with four judges, Chief Justice K. S. Hegde, Justice I. D. Dua, Justice H. R. Khanna and Justice S. K. Kapur. The High Court currently has a sanctioned strength of 45 permanent judges and 15 additional judges.

Hall of Nations was an exhibition hall that was inaugurated in 1972 as part of the Pragati Maidan exhibition complex in New Delhi, India.
