Littau railway station (German: Bahnhof Littau) is a railway station in the locality of Littau, within the municipality of Lucerne, in the Swiss canton of Lucerne. It is an intermediate stop on the standard gauge Bern–Lucerne line of Swiss Federal Railways.

The Sonnenberg Funicular, also known as the Standseilbahn Kriens–Sonnenberg (KSB) or Sonnenbergbahn, is a funicular railway near the city of Lucerne in the Swiss canton of Lucerne. It links the town of Kriens with the Sonnenberg at 704 m, a hiking and recreational area, and serves an intermediate stop at Zumhof.The line was opened in 1902. The Museum im Bellpark is a forum for photography, history, and art in Kriens, Switzerland. It has existed since 1991. The Museum maintains an archive that documents the development of Kriens from a village to an conurbation, and is building up a collection of Swiss drawings. Its focus is on photography, and it regularly organizes exhibitions. The Museum is supported by the Museum im Bellpark association.

Kriens is a city and a municipality in the district of Lucerne in the canton of Lucerne in Switzerland. The municipality lies at the foot of the mountain Pilatus, and is a western suburb of Lucerne.

The Kleine Emme is a river of the canton of Lucerne, Switzerland, a left tributary of the Reuss extending for 58 km, draining a basin of 477 km². It is not to be confused with the Emme of the canton of Berne. The Kleine Emme rises as the Waldemme in the southwestern corner of the canton of Obwalden, in the Brienzer Rothorn massif at the Emmensprung, flowing north-west along the Mariental, past Sörenberg. Turning north, it enters the Entlebuch region, where it is joined by the Weissemme near Schüpfheim and by the Entlen at Entlebuch. After receiving the Fontannen, it turns to the east at Wolhusen where it is joined by the Wigger and later by the Rümlig. From here, it flows parallel to the Pilatus chain, past Malters, joining the Reuss at Emmen, 2 km downstream of Lake Lucerne.

Emmenbrücke railway station (German: Bahnhof Emmenbrücke) is a railway station in the municipality of Emmen, in the Swiss canton of Lucerne. It is an intermediate stop on the standard gauge Olten–Lucerne and Seetal lines of Swiss Federal Railways.

The Château Gütsch is a historic château in Lucerne, Switzerland. In 1859, Burkhard Pfyffer bought a plot of land on the Gütsch hill from the town and was granted the right to run an inn. The inn was then bought by Ignaz Businger in 1879 and expanded into a hotel. Like many hotels of the Belle Epoque, The Château Gütsch was built on a vantage point above lakes, rivers, and cities, in this case the city Lucerne and the river Reuss. The Château was built in 1884 specifically to support the hotel. In 1868 Queen Victoria stayed at a site near the hotel with Prince Arthur and Princess Louise.As part of a significant transalpine railroad development and modernization plan in Switzerland in the second half of the 19th century, a railline was built connecting Lucerne to the château.A large part of the hotel was completely destroyed in the great fire of 1888. In 1901 the hotel received its present appearance, being modelled after Neuschwanstein in Bavaria.It was purchased by Evgeny Lebedev in 2012, who commissioned Martyn Lawrence Bullard to renovate it.The current owner is Kirill Androsov.

SC Kriens is a football club based in Kriens, Switzerland, that currently competing in the Swiss Promotion League. The club uses Stadion Kleinfeld as home ground, and form a local rivalry with Lucerne. SC Kriens women's team has been participating in the Nationalliga A since 2008.

The Gütsch Funicular, also known as the Drahtseilbahn Gütsch (DBG) or simply the Gütschbahn, is a funicular railway in the city of Lucerne in the Swiss canton of Lucerne. The line links a lower station located on Baselstrasse, some 1 kilometre (0.62 mi) west of the centre of the city, with an upper station adjacent to the Château Gütsch hotel, 90 m above. The Château Gütsch was constructed between 1881 and 1883 on a site overlooking the city of Lucerne and modelled on the architecture of Neuschwanstein Castle in Bavaria. In order to link the hotel to the city, the water-powered Gütschbahn funicular was opened on 22 August 1884. The line continued operating until 21 April 2008, when service ceased until further notice. After rebuilding, the line reopened on 26 September 2015.In its current guise the line is operated by Verkehrsbetriebe Luzern, the city's transport operator, and is integrated into zone 10 of the city's integrated fare system. The Sonnenberg Tunnel is a 1,550 m (5,090 ft) long motorway tunnel, constructed between 1971 and 1976 and located in Lucerne, Switzerland. At its completion it was also the world's largest civilian nuclear fallout shelter, designed to protect 20,000 civilians in the eventuality of war or disaster.
