The Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation (Portuguese: Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian), commonly referred to simply as the Gulbenkian Foundation, is a Portuguese institution dedicated to the promotion of the arts, philanthropy, science, and education. One of the wealthiest charitable foundations in the world, the Gulbenkian Foundation was founded on 18 July 1956 according to the last will and testament of Calouste Sarkis Gulbenkian, a Portugal-based oil magnate who bequeathed his assets to the country in the form of a foundation. Gülbenkian the Armenian oil magnate had one of the largest private art collections in Europe, which is housed in the foundation's Calouste Gulbenkian Museum in Lisbon. The foundation hosts numerous institutions and initiatives including the Gulbenkian Orchestra, Gulbenkian Science Institute, Gulbenkian Prizes and the Gulbenkian Commission.

The Portuguese Faculdade de Ciências Sociais e Humanas (Faculty of Social and Human Sciences - FCSH) is an organic unit of the Universidade NOVA de Lisboa (NOVA). According to its statutes, “the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences of NOVA University of Lisbon is an institution dedicated to education, scientific research and cultural creation". The Faculty's own identity stems from the coexistence of social sciences with humanities, allowing an unusual interdisciplinarity in the Portuguese higher education panorama.

Santo António (Portuguese pronunciation: [ˈsɐ̃t(u) ɐ̃ˈtɔnju]) is a freguesia (civil parish) and district of Lisbon, the capital of Portugal. Located in central Lisbon, Santo António is east of Campo de Ourique, north of Santa Maria Maior and Misericórdia, west of Arroios, and south of Avenidas Novas. It is known for its luxury shopping, Michelin star restaurants, and as home to many of Lisbon's most recognizable landmarks and neighborhoods, such as Marquis of Pombal Square, Avenida da Liberdade, and Restauradores Square. The population in 2011 was 11,836.

Nossa Senhora de Fátima (English: Our Lady of Fátima) was a Portuguese parish (freguesia) in the municipality of Lisbon. It had a total area of 1.87 km2 and total population of 27.111 inhabitants (2001); density: 14,528.9 inhabitants/km2. It was created on February 7, 1959. With the 2012 Administrative Reform, the former Nossa Senhora de Fátima parish merged with the São Sebastião da Pedreira parish into a new parish named Avenidas Novas.

The Calouste Gulbenkian Museum houses one of the world's most important private art collections. It includes works from Ancient Egypt to the early 20th century, spanning the arts of the Islamic World, China and Japan, as well as the French decorative arts, Impressionist painting and the jewellery of René Lalique.

The Centro de Arte Moderna Gulbenkian (CAM) is a major venue for contemporary art in Portugal and holds one of the largest collections of modern and contemporary Portuguese artworks. Its building is currently under renovation and will reopen to the public, with a reformulated building, by Kengo Kuma, to celebrate its 40th anniversary in 2023. The CAM continues to develop its activities beyond the limits of the building until its reopening.

Praça de Espanha is a square in Lisbon, from which vehicles can proceed to the South bank of the river Tejo. Near Praça de Espanha is situated the famous Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian, an important cultural center of the Portuguese capital, as well as Palácio de Palhavã, the residence of the ambassador of Spain. The Square was fully reconstructed in 1998. The Square also hosts a metro station Praça de Espanha.

Rock Rendez-Vous (also known as simply RRV) was one of the best known nightclubs in Lisbon, Portugal during the 1980s and early 1990s. It's regarded as one of the most important music venues for rock music in Portugal during the 80s. It was located at the ancient Universal cinema place, at the Rua de Beneficência ao Rego. The opening act, in 1980, 18 December was Rui Veloso. RRV was closed in 1983, but a petition was made to reopen the club. RRV promoted concerts of foreign acts like Teardrop Explodes, Killing Joke, The Chameleons, Danse Society, The Raincoats, The Sound and The Lords of the New Church. In 1984, RRV promoted the 1st Modern Music Contest (1º Concurso de Música Moderna), which achieved huge success among Portuguese bands, and had 7 editions (from 1984 to 1989 and 1994 with RTP support). After 1984 1st Modern Music Contest (1º Concurso de Música Moderna), it was created the record label Dansa do Som.

São Sebastião is an interchange station where the Blue and Red Lines of the Lisbon Metro connect, being located on Avenida António Augusto de Aguiar in the São Sebastião da Pedreira neighbourhood.

Teatro Aberto is a theatre located in Lisbon, Portugal next to the Praça Espanha. Together with the Portuguese Society of Authors (Sociedade Portuguesa de Autores), it organizes the annual Grande Prémio de Teatro Português.

Praça de Espanha station is part of the Blue Line of the Lisbon Metro.

GRICES or Gabinete de Relações Internacionais da Ciência e do Ensino Superior is the Portuguese Office for International Relations in Science and Higher Education, responsible for directing, guiding and co-ordinating all international cooperation in science and technology.
