Savannah Christian Preparatory School (SCPS) is a private, college preparatory, non-denominational Christian school located in Savannah, Georgia, United States.

The Great Slave Auction (also called the Weeping Time) was an auction of enslaved Africans held at Ten Broeck Race Course, near Savannah, Georgia, United States, on March 2 and 3, 1859. Slaveholder and absentee plantation owner Pierce Mease Butler authorized the sale of approximately 436 men, women, children, and infants to be sold over the course of two days. The sale's proceeds went to satisfy Butler's significant debt, much from gambling. The auction was the largest single sale of slaves in U.S. history.

Garden City is a city in Chatham County, Georgia, United States, located just northwest of Savannah. As of the 2020 census, the city had a population of 10,289. Part industrial and part residential, the city is home to much of the heavy industry in Chatham County. It hosts the largest and busiest ocean terminal of the Port of Savannah, the flagship operation of the Georgia Ports Authority. Garden City was created in 1939 as Industrial City Gardens, a community intended to house the large workforce required by the new factories and chemical plants just west of downtown Savannah. Garden City is part of the Savannah metropolitan statistical area.

Robert W. Groves High School (also known as Groves High School or GHS) is a public secondary school located in Garden City, Georgia, United States, serving students in grades 9–12. The school is part of Savannah-Chatham County Public Schools, with admission based primarily on the locations of students' homes.

The Carver Village Historic District is a historic district in Savannah, Georgia. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2019.The district is bounded by W. Gwinnett and Endley Sts., Allen Blun, and Collat Avenues.Carver Village, named for George Washington Carver, was established in 1948 and provided affordable housing for blacks, including many who were in military service or who were veterans. It includes about 600 houses, churches and other buildings.Its pending nomination for National Register listing was celebrated in 2016, at a reception at the Historic Carver Village Neighborhood Center, 905 Collat Avenue.It being listed on the National Register was also asserted in 2017.

The Herty Advanced Materials Development Center (HAMDC or Herty AMDC) is a research center currently managed by Georgia Southern University. Herty was established in 1938 by the state of Georgia as an applied research center to honor Charles H. Herty, a chemist whose discoveries spearheaded the utilization of southern softwoods in the manufacture of pulp and paper products. In 2012, Georgia governor Nathan Deal transferred management of Herty to Georgia Southern to enhance economic and business development in the State of Georgia. "Located on a 10-acre campus in Savannah, the Herty Advanced Materials Development Center is a new product and process accelerator, providing technical, market and manufacturing expertise within a 120,000 square foot facility."

Brampton Plantation was a plantation originally founded in colonial Savannah, Province of Georgia. It has been closely associated with Jonathan Bryan, a landowner, patriot and an associate of James Edward Oglethorpe, the founder of the Savannah colony. Bryan owned it from 1765. The plantation was located between National Gypsum Company and Union Camp Corporation, about 3.5 miles northwest of downtown Savannah on the Savannah River. A cemetery also exists on the land.For fifteen years after the 1733 foundation of the Savannah colony, the land was part of an Indian reservation; in 1757, the land was divided up and allotted to planters. David Graham was the first owner of the section that became Brampton.John Garnier Williamson, a slaveholder, was the owner of Brampton when his probate inventory was recorded in 1814. His son, John Postell Williamson, owned the plantation after his father died.

Coastal Transitional Center is a minimum security prison located in Savannah, Georgia in Chatham County, Georgia. The facility houses adult male felons; the capacity is 200. It was constructed in 1940 and was renovated in 2003. It has 44 living units ranging in size from four to 12 beds. The mission of Coastal Transitional Center is to protect the community while assisting residents in making a successful transition back into society. It provides social and employment skills in a structured environment. Coastal State Prison, located in Garden City, Georgia, is the host facility for the transitional center. The transitional center features long-term maintenance residents assigned as permanent workers in Food Service, Maintenance, Lawn Care, Laundry Services, Sanitation, Barbering, and details for other government facilities, while the remaining residents participate in the work release program.

Enmarket Arena is a multi-purpose complex in Savannah, Georgia, United States. It opened in February 2022 with a 9,500-seat arena, including twelve luxury suites, five lodge boxes, and a party suite. Enmarket Arena is the home to the Savannah Ghost Pirates of the ECHL.

Alfred Ely Beach High School, known as Beach High School, is one of the oldest public high schools in Savannah, Georgia, United States.

Laurel Grove Cemetery is a cemetery located in midtown Savannah, Georgia. It includes the original cemetery for whites (now known as Laurel Grove North) and a companion burial ground (called Laurel Grove South) that was reserved for slaves and free people of color. The original cemetery has countless graves of many of Savannah's Confederate veterans of the American Civil War. The cemetery was dedicated in 1852. The lawyer and poet Henry Rootes Jackson delivered the dedication address.With lush plantings and beautifully carved stones, both sections of Laurel Grove Cemetery resemble more famous Victorian-era graveyards such as Green-Wood in New York City and Père Lachaise in Paris. The south section of the cemetery was added to the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) in 1978 and the north section was added to the NRHP in 1983.

WRHQ (105.3 MHz) is a commercial FM radio station licensed to Richmond Hill, Georgia and serving the Savannah metropolitan area. It is owned by Thoroughbred Communications and airs an adult album alternative radio format. WRHQ's studios are located in Midtown Savannah south of Daffin Park, and its transmitter site is southwest of historic downtown. WRHQ calls its sound "Quality Rock," a mix of classic rock, alternative rock, adult contemporary, classic hits and other genres. It is the only station in the Savannah radio market that is locally owned and operated. WRHQ General Manager Jerry Rogers, a Savannah radio veteran for more than 50 years, owns the station. The Operations Manager / Program Director is Tripp Rogers.
