Yatton, east Herefordshire

Yatton Chapel is a redundant Anglican church in Yatton, south-east Herefordshire, England. It is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II* listed building, and is under the care of the Churches Conservation Trust. It stands at the end of a winding track adjacent to Chapel Farmhouse.

The Ridge Hill transmitting station is a broadcasting and telecommunications facility located 8.5 miles SE of Hereford in Herefordshire, and close to the border of Gloucestershire. The station transmits the full complement of digital terrestrial multiplexes and an additional ITV West Multiplex. It includes a cable stayed steel lattice mast which has a height of 164.6 metres (540 ft), which in addition to the altitude of the site gives an aerial height of 363 metres (1,191 ft) above mean sea level. Ridge Hill supplies its signal to 17 relays which allow coverage into "fringe" areas not able to receive a good signal from the main transmitter. All 5 analogue programme channels were broadcast plus the full 6 digital MUXES although the multiplexes were scattered across the band requiring a wideband aerial for most consumers. Digital switchover was completed on 20 April 2011 where the main 6 multiplexes are now located in the Group A antenna band. Since March 2018 MUXES 7 and 8 have been moved up to channels 55 and 56 respectively which are outside the A group, though these are due to be switched off between 2020 and 2022 In addition to its television output Ridge Hill transmits various radio stations including BBC Hereford and Worcester. The station covers the south west Midlands, including Herefordshire, and parts of Worcestershire. It also covers parts of the South West, specifically northern Gloucestershire. It does not, however, transmit BBC local programmes for Gloucestershire. These are covered by the Mendip transmitter which can be seen from the south and west of Gloucester city, and a very much smaller part of Cheltenham. From 4 December 2006 Ridge Hill broadcast ITV1 West on UHF channel 30 (rebroadcasting the signal from Mendip) in addition to the existing ITV1 Central service on channel 25. This is known as "Ridge Hill West". This followed the restructuring of ITV Regional News and the abolition of the Central South region. As a result, the existing ITV1 Central service now carries news from the West Midlands region.

Hole-in-the-Wall is a riverside settlement on the east bank of the River Wye in the English county of Herefordshire. It is some five miles to the north of the town of Ross-on-Wye and part of the parish of Foy — the village of Foy, a mile to the west, is accessible by a footbridge over the Wye, built in 1919 by David Rowell & Co. It is featured in the British television series Survivors, in an episode titled "Gone Away" (1975).Court Farm was a PGL activity holidays centre but has now been sold to private owners.

Sollers Hope or Sollershope is a village and civil parish 8 miles (13 km) south east of Hereford, in the county of Herefordshire, England. In 2001 the parish had a population of 68. The parish touches Brockhampton, How Caple, Much Marcle, Woolhope and Yatton. Sollers Hope shares a parish council with How Caple and Yatton called "How Caple Sollershope and Yatton Group Parish Council".

H.Weston & Sons Limited ("Weston's Cider") is a cider and perry producer based in Much Marcle, Herefordshire, England. The family-owned company, founded by Henry Weston, has been making cider in the same location since 1880 and the managing director, Helen Thomas, is a fourth generation member of the Weston family. The company had 230 staff as of 2016.Weston's use traditional methods in their cider making process, with a large collection of oak vats.They have their own fruit orchards which are a mixture of bush and standard trees and over 43 acres of organic trees. They also source cider apples from growers within the Three Counties of Herefordshire, Worcestershire and Gloucestershire and a few within the county of Monmouthshire.Weston's Cider make a variety of different products including perry, organic and low alcohol ciders in the premium cider sector. Their ciders are widely available, locally and nationally as well as in over 40 countries globally.In response to the effect of the COVID-19 pandemic on pub businesses, Weston's donated 1,800 kegs of its Stowford Press cider to its customers, starting from 29 June 2020.In November 2023 the company was fined £1.4 million after an employee suffered a fatal collision with a half open security barrier.

How Caple is a village and civil parish in the English county of Herefordshire. The population of this civil parish at the 2011 census was 118.To the east of the village, on the main B4224 road, is the hamlet of Crossway. How Caple is mentioned in the Domesday Book of 1086.

Homme House is an 18th-century country house in Much Marcle, Herefordshire, UK. Primarily built of brick, it is now used as a wedding venue and is a Grade II* listed building.Originally built in the 16th century of stone it was substantially rebuilt and enlarged in the late 18th century in brick with stone dressings and a slate roof. The frontage of the main rectangular block has three storeys and six bays, with a porch having two pairs of Tuscan columns beneath a pediment. Only the attached tower remains of the previous stone building. The house stands in an estate of gardens, 100 acres (40 ha) of parkland and 80 acres (32 ha) of woodland. A Grade I listed summerhouse stands in the grounds.

Much Marcle is a village and civil parish in Herefordshire, England, located 7 miles (11 km) north-east of Ross-on-Wye. The 2011 Census recorded the parish's population as 660. The name Marcle comes from the Anglo-Saxon word for a boundary field, mearc-leah. Much, in this case, means large or great, from the Middle English usage of the word.

Rudhall Manor is a manor house in Rudhall, Herefordshire, England. It dates from the late 14th century and is a Grade I listed building.

Brockhampton is a village and civil parish in Herefordshire, England. The village is near the River Wye, 14 kilometres (9 mi) south east of Hereford, 13 kilometres (8 mi) north of Ross-on-Wye, and 16 kilometres (10 mi) south west of Ledbury. The Wye Valley Walk passes through Brockhampton. The parish forms part of the Old Gore ward of Herefordshire Council. Prior to 1998, it had been part of the district of South Herefordshire in Hereford and Worcester. The population of the parish in 2011 was 229.The two most significant buildings in the village are Brockhampton Court and All Saints' Church. Brockhampton Court was substantially rebuilt, in the neo-Tudor style in 1893, as the Herefordshire residence of A.W. Foster and his American wife, Alice. In the late 1870s, Eben Dyer Jordan of Boston, Massachusetts had purchased Brockhampton Court, now a retirement home, as a wedding present for his daughter and her groom, Arthur Foster. The Park, Brockhampton is the local cricket ground.
