Arnold Lodge is a medium secure psychiatric hospital situated in Leicester, England, run by Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.

Charnwood was an electoral ward and administrative division of the city of Leicester, England. The population of the ward at the 2011 census was 13,291. It comprised the northern Leicester suburb of Northfields and its Tailby and Morton ex-council estates. Northfields has had a bad reputation for criminal activities. Despite being only 3 small estates it was responsible for 30% of the crime rate within the Leicester area. In response The Northfields Project was set upin order to help to combat crime and make Northfields a safer place to live. The scheme improved areas such as security fencing, lighting and public recreational spaces.Charnwood was bounded by the wards of Belgrave to the west and Rushey Mead to the north-west on the other side of the Midland Main Line, Humberstone & Hamilton to the east on the other side of Victoria Road East, Coleman to the south-east at The Portway and North Evington to the south at Hastings Road. The Troon Industrial Area and Estate is to the north on the other side of Gipsy Lane.Northfields was named for one of three open fields that once nearly surrounded Leicester. The field was enclosed in 1764 and then used as residential building land 'in good time for the population increase' of the industrial revolution, meaning that Leicester was largely spared the overcrowding problems typical of industrialising towns of that time.The Charnwood ward, which was represented on Leicester City Council and covered the area, was abolished in 2015 with most of the area now being part of the Troon ward.

Humberstone railway station was a railway station serving the eastern side of Leicester. It was on the Great Northern Railway Leicester branch. The station opened in 1882 and closed to regular traffic in 1953 but remained open for summer weekend specials until 1962.

Gipsy Lane Pit is a 0.5 hectares (1.2 acres) geological Site of Special Scientific Interest in Leicester. It is a Geological Conservation Review site.This site is important to geologists for its Triassic stratigraphy, and to mineralogists as it is rich in sulphides, some of which are unidentified and imperfectly understood compounds. Natural England describes the site's interest as "unique in Britain, and possibly internationally".The stie is private land with no public access.

Humberstone Park LNR is a 2.4 hectare Local Nature Reserve in Leicester. It is owned and managed by Leicester City Council.The nature reserve is part of Humberstone Park. It has diverse fauna and flora, and there is a sunken garden and a former railway embankment called Rally Bank.There is access from a footpath which starts near the Saltersford Road entrance and crosses Busby Brook.

Spinney Hills is an inner city area of Leicester, England. It is situated to the north of the core Highfields area, around Spinney Hill Park. To the north is Northfields, to the east North Evington, to the west is the railway line, and to the south is the main part of Highfields. It is also a ward of the City of Leicester whose population at the 2011 census was 25,561.

North Evington is an area, suburb, electoral ward and administrative division of the city of Leicester, England. North Evington is bordered by Belgrave to the west, Charnwood to the north, Evington and Humberstone & Hamilton to the east and Spinney Hills to the south. It is an inclusion of Highfields. It is in the eastern part of the city. The area contains Leicestershire and Rutland Fire and Rescue Service’s Eastern Station on Hastings Road, Spence Street Swimming Baths and the Merlyn Vaz Walk In and Health Centre. The development was originally in the parish of Evington, disconnected from the village itself. The areas in between have since been infilled. It has been absorbed by the urban district of Highfields which is predominantly a working class area with rows of Victorian terraces to satisfy the needs of workers. The area was designed and constructed as a suburb by Arthur Wakerley from the 1880s onwards. By the First World War the area was entirely developed. The area, which was originally outside the borough boundary, was annexed to the borough of Leicester in 1892. In September 2022 the area saw widespread unrest between Hindu and Muslim communities. In a Leicester City Council byelection the Conservatives took 49.6% of the vote with a 32.7-point swing. Labour, the incumbent party came third in the vote.

Coleman was an electoral ward and administrative division of the city of Leicester, England, consisting of the Leicester suburbs of Crown Hills and North Evington. It was replaced by North Evington ward in 2015.

Leicester East is a constituency represented in the House of Commons of the UK Parliament since December 2019 by Claudia Webbe, who was elected as a Labour MP, but now sits as an Independent due to her suspension and subsequent expulsion from the party in November 2021 after she was convicted of harassment.

Soar Valley College is an 11–16 coeducational secondary school located in Leicester, Leicestershire, England. It was designated a Maths and Computing specialist college in September 2004. As part of the Building Schools for the Future initiative, the old building was demolished in 2009 and turned into playing fields, and a new building was built on the previous playing fields at a cost of approximately £21.5 million. The school hosted the Special Olympics netball games in 2009 on their newly built netball courts, known as the "Soar Valley Netball Centre" on the other side of the campus from the new building. It became co-educational in 2016 and has one acre of land. The school has a lanyard system with different colours to show the different years. Previously a community school administered by Leicester City Council, in June 2023 Soar Valley College converted to academy status. The school is now sponsored by the Aspire Learning Partnership.
