Haverah Park is a civil parish in the Harrogate district of North Yorkshire, England. It is located 3 miles (5 km) west of Harrogate. The parish consists of several scattered farms. There is no village in the parish, and there are no public roads. Access is by private roads or by public footpaths. The population is estimated at only 30. The parish shares a grouped parish council with Beckwithshaw. There are several small reservoirs in the parish: Beaver Dyke Reservoirs, Scargill Reservoir and Ten Acre Reservoir. The remains of John O'Gaunt's Castle lie in the far west of the parish.

St Mary's Church, Harrogate is a Grade II* listed redundant parish church in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, England. The successor of the church, which uses the former church hall, is now known as Kairos Church.

Knabs Ridge Wind Farm is an electricity generating site just south of the A59 road near to Felliscliffe, Kettlesing, North Yorkshire, England. It was the first wind farm to be built in North Yorkshire in over 15 years, and was believed to be the first time that civilian air traffic was considered in the planning permission process.

The Haverah Park experiment was a cosmic ray air shower detection array consisting of water Cherenkov detectors distributed over an area of 12 km2 on Haverah Park on the Pennine moorland near Harrogate, North Yorkshire. The experiment was operated by University of Leeds for 20 years, and was switched off in 1987. Air showers of secondary particles generated from a primary cosmic ray hitting the Earth's atmosphere are spread over many kilometres when they hit the ground. An array allows for detection of secondary particles caused by a single cosmic ray at several detectors. The geographic spread of the detectors allows for calculation of the following: The total number of particles detected can be used to estimate the number of particles in the air shower and from the model of the energy required to generate those particles, the energy of the primary cosmic ray. The difference in the time of arrival of recorded particles at multiple detectors can be used to estimate the arrival direction of the primary cosmic ray.During its operation, many thousands of cosmic ray events were recorded including four exceptional events with energies over 1020 eV. These results were somewhat controversial because they are beyond the GZK limit. Such particles were since observed by other experiments, such as Fly's Eye (Oh-My-God particle) and AGASA.

Felliscliffe is a civil parish in North Yorkshire, England, in Nidderdale, Harrogate borough. The population of the civil parish at the 2011 census was 283. The principal settlement in the parish is the village of Kettlesing, and the parish also includes the hamlet of Swincliffe.

Beaver Dyke Reservoirs were two water supply reservoirs (one of which is still extant), 5 miles (8 km) west of Harrogate in North Yorkshire, England. The main reservoir, also known as Lower Beaver Dyke Reservoir, was constructed in 1890 and had a surface area of 9 ha. In 2008 the reservoir's owner, Yorkshire Water, decided that it was not economic to maintain its ageing structures. It was decommissioned between 2013 and 2015 by breaching its dam and channelling a stream in the bed of the former reservoir. A residual lake of 0.5 ha was retained. The water of the reservoir was relatively nutrient rich, but it was known to suffer from potentially toxic blooms of Blue green algae. The smaller reservoir (also called John O'Gaunts Reservoir due to the proximity of John O'Gaunt's Castle) is still filled with water.

The Army Foundation College (AFC) is located in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, England. It is the only British Army establishment that delivers initial military training (Phase 1 training) to Junior Soldiers (aged between 16 years and 17 years, 5 months when they start).

It comprised the northern side of lower Wharfedale, the lower Washburn Valley and several parishes between Leeds and the River Wharfe. The Church of St Michael and All Angels, Beckwithshaw, North Yorkshire, England, also known as Beckwithshaw Church, is an Anglican church built and furnished between 1886 and 1887 by William Swinden Barber in the Gothic Revival style as part of the Arts and Crafts movement. The stained glass windows in the same style were added in 1892. The church is listed as a Grade II historic structure; it is a pristine and unchanged example of an Arts and Crafts church retaining all its original furnishings, apart from one missing statue. However, in 2018 the church officers gained planning permission for changes which included removing all of the original pews. The first vicar of this church, from 1887 to 1894, was Charles Farrar Forster.

Beckwithshaw is a village and civil parish in the Harrogate district of North Yorkshire, England about 2.5 miles (4 km) south-west of Harrogate.

Hampsthwaite is a large village and civil parish in Nidderdale in the Harrogate district of North Yorkshire, England. It lies on the south bank of the River Nidd 5 miles (8 km) north west of Harrogate. In the 2011 census the parish had a population of 1,083.The centre of the village is designated as a Conservation Area. Hampsthwaite lies just outside the Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, but the area to the north and west of the village is recognised as an Area of Great Landscape Value.
