St Stephen's Church, Rochester Row

Rochester Row is a street in the City of Westminster in London that runs between Greycoat Place in the north and Vauxhall Bridge Road in the south. It is joined by Greycoat Street, Rochester Street, Vincent Square, Emery Hill Street, Vane Street, Stillington Street, and Willow Place. On 4 May 1927, the Charing Cross Trunk Murder took place in a third floor office at 86 Rochester Row. On 6 May, John Robinson, a 35-year-old estate agent, took a cab to Charing Cross railway station, where he deposited a large black trunk in the left-luggage office. On 10 May after a "dreadful smell" was noted, the police opened the trunk to find the dismembered body of a woman. Westminster is an area of Central London, England, within the larger City of Westminster, most notable for being the seat of the United Kingdom Parliament and most of the UK Government. It is known for its many visitor attractions and historic landmarks, including the Palace of Westminster (incorporating Big Ben), Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, Westminster Cathedral, Trafalgar Square and the West End shopping and entertainment district. The name (Old English: Westmynstre) originated from the informal description of the abbey church and royal peculiar of St Peter's (Westminster Abbey), west of the City of London (until the English Reformation there was also an Eastminster, near the Tower of London, in the East End of London). The abbey's origins date from between the 7th and 10th centuries, but it rose to national prominence when rebuilt by Edward the Confessor in the 11th. Westminster has been the home of England's government since about 1200, and from 1707 the Government of the United Kingdom. In 1539, it became a city. Westminster is often used as a metonym to refer to the Parliament of the United Kingdom, in the Palace of Westminster.

Lindley Hall in Elverton Street, Westminster, London is the older of the two Royal Horticultural Halls and is owned by RHS Enterprises Limited, which is part of the charity Royal Horticultural Society in central London. The other is Lawrence Hall, which is no longer owned by the RHS; both are close to Vincent Square.Although built as an exhibition hall, Lindley Hall is increasingly used for product launches, conferences, fashion shows, banquets, weddings and other events.

The Grey Coat Hospital is a Church of England secondary school with academy status for girls in Westminster, London, England. In 2013, it had 1064 pupils including 40 boys in the Sixth Form. It is a specialist Language College.

Lawrence Hall in Greycoat Street, Westminster was the newer of the two Royal Horticultural Halls owned by R.H.S. Enterprises Limited, which is part of the Royal Horticultural Society charity in central London. The other is Lindley Hall in Elverton Street; both are close to the RHS' headquarters in Vincent Square. The site of Lawrence Hall incorporates a self-contained purpose-built conference centre above the main hall. The building's name relates to Trevor Lawrence, president of the Royal Horticultural Society from 1885 to 1913 who was chiefly responsible for moving the Society from its expensive Kensington site to a more practical home in Westminster in 1904. Lawrence Hall has vaulted ceilings and Art Deco interior features. It was awarded a gold medal by the Royal Institute of British Architects for its dramatic architecture. It was constructed between 1925 and 1928 and was designed by the partnership of Easton and Robertson. The tall parabolic arches which begin as square piers are credited to Easton, derived from the reinforced concrete work of Hennebique and Freyssinet. It has been listed Grade II* on the National Heritage List for England since 1983.Lawrence Hall and the conference centre underwent a £1.2 million renovation in 2006. Although built as an exhibition hall, Lawrence Hall was increasingly used for product launches and conferences. In December 2011 the RHS announced that it had leased the hall for 999 years to Westminster School for £18 million, the terms allowing the hall to continue to be used for four RHS flower shows each year. Westminster School has converted the building for use as a Sports Centre. It was used as a filming location for Pink Floyd - The Wall, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, Richard III, The Saint, Killing Eve, and Children of Men.

Westminster Palace Gardens (WPG) is a Victorian red brick mansion block with apartments centred around a courtyard. It is located on Artillery Row in the City of Westminster, London. It is listed at grade II.The seven-story building was designed in the grand mansion style by architect Charles J.C. Pawley, and was built between 1898 and 1899. The façade of the building is clad at street level in blue and green faience tiles. In the centre of the façade are full height black iron gates, and a two-storey former carriage archway flanked by pilasters. Above the entrance at both first and second floor level are examples of lavish Victorian splendour with ornate terra cotta friezes that run the length of the façade. WPG was built on the site of the artillery brewery, one of several breweries and distilleries in the area. However, the "artillery" name commemorates the historical use of the area for military exercises and target practice.

Vincent Square is a grass-covered square in Westminster, London, England, covering 13 acres, lined with mature trees including London Planes. In among a network of backstreets, it chiefly provides playing fields for Westminster School, who own it absolutely; otherwise, it functions as a green lung and a view for the homes, hotel and other organisations adjoining. Nine of its adjoining buildings have been given strict statutory architectural recognition and protection.

The Albert is a Grade II listed pub located at 52 Victoria Street in Victoria, London, about 0.4 miles (0.64 km) southwest of Westminster Abbey. Built in 1862 by the Artillery Brewery, the pub retains its striking façade and Victorian features that were undamaged during The Blitz in World War II. The Albert was named in tribute to Queen Victoria's husband, Albert, Prince Consort.

It was formed on 1 April 2012 as a replacement for the London Development Agency (LDA) as an arms length corporate body to take on the assets of the LDA and other agencies, under the direction of the Mayor of London.
