Great Hale

Heckington railway station is located in the village of Heckington in Lincolnshire, England. The old station building houses the Heckington Station Railway and Heritage Museum.

Heckington Windmill is the only eight-sailed tower windmill still standing in the United Kingdom with its sails intact. Heckington is located between Sleaford and Boston in Lincolnshire, England. The mill stands very close to Heckington railway station, hence its name of the 'Station Mill' in the 19th century. The windmill is designated a Grade I listed building.

Helpringham railway station was a station in Helpringham, Lincolnshire. The station was opened by the Great Northern and Great Eastern Joint Railway on 6 March 1882.The station closed for passengers on 4 July 1955.

Asgarby and Howell is a civil parish in the North Kesteven district of Lincolnshire, England, consisting of the villages of Asgarby and Howell. According to the 2001 Census, the parish had a population of 69. The parish church, St Oswald's, dates back to the 14th century. In 1870–1872, John Marius described Asgarby and Howell as: Asgarby, a parish in Sleaford district, Lincoln; adjacent to the Boston and Grantham railway, 3 miles E of Sleaford. It includes the hamlet of Boughton; and its Post Town is Sleaford.

The Car Dyke was, and to a large extent still is, a long ditch which runs along the western edge of the Fens in eastern England for a distance of over 57 miles (92 km). It is generally accepted as being of Roman age and, for many centuries, to have been taken as marking the western edge of the Fens. The name derives from carr, a fourteenth-century word for marsh or drained land.

Ewerby Thorpe is a hamlet in the civil parish of Ewerby and Evedon, in the North Kesteven district of Lincolnshire, England. It lies 2 miles (3.2 km) north from the A17 road, 4.5 miles (7 km) east from Sleaford, and 12 miles (19 km) west from Boston. The village of Ewerby lies just to the west, and Howell just to the south, with the River Slea running 1 mile (1.6 km) to the north. The hamlet is the site of the ancient village of Austhorpe. In the Domesday account Austhorpe is written as "Oustorp". It consisted of 8 villagers, with 3 ploughlands, a meadow of 44 acres (0.18 km2) and woodland of 23 acres (0.093 km2). In 1086 lordship of the manor transferred to Kolsveinn of Lincoln.The land immediately to the north-west, south of the River Slea and stretching to South Kyme, was known as Ewerby Thorpe Fen. In the 13th century it was the part of the manorial lands of William de la Laund. He gave Ewerby Thorpe Fen, then called le Mykeldyke, to Haverholme Priory.
