The Forêt de Marly (known as the forêt de Cruye until the 18th century) is a 2000 hectare forest estate in Yvelines, between Saint-Germain-en-Laye and Versailles about 15 km to the west of Paris. It is about 12 km long east to west, over the communes of Louveciennes, Marly-le-Roi, Saint-Nom-la-Bretèche, Feucherolles and others. Historically, it was a hunting estate of the kings of France, then of the presidents of the Republic, but (since 1935) is now divided along its whole length by the A13 autoroute.

Chambourcy (French pronunciation: [ʃɑ̃buʁsi] ) is a commune in the Yvelines department in the Île-de-France region in north-central France. It is located 3 km (1.9 mi) west of Saint-Germain-en-Laye and about 25 km (16 mi) west of Paris. Its inhabitants are called Camboriciens. "Chambourcy", formerly "Champ Bourcy", is derived from the Latin expression "campus bruacii", field of brushlands. The current mayor, and mayor since 1995 is Pierre Morange. He has also been a member of the French National Assembly since 1997.

Aigremont (French pronunciation: [ɛɡʁəmɔ̃] ) is a commune in the Yvelines department in north-central France.

The Désert de Retz is a garden on the edge of the forêt de Marly in the commune of Chambourcy, in north-central France. It was created at the end of the 18th century by the aristocrat François Racine de Monville on his 40-hectare (99-acre) estate. The architect Boullée was involved in the creation of both Monville's town houses; it is less likely he had much do with the Désert de Retz, although Monville did, for a while, engage him as assistant to the architect Francois Barbier until 1780. Monville probably designed many of the features and structures himself, or had a strong supervisory role.The garden included between 17 and 20 structures, of which ten still survive, mostly referring to classical antiquity. Those buildings included a summer house (the "colonne brisée", or ruined column), in the form of the base of a shattered column from an imaginary gigantic temple, an ice house in the form of an Egyptian pyramid, an obelisk, a colonnaded temple dedicated to Pan, an open-air theatre, a ruined Gothic Chapel and a Chinese pavilion. This was one of a number of landscape gardens created in France at the time influenced by English examples. Its style could be described as Anglo-Chinois, or French landscape garden.

Saint-Nom-la-Bretèche–Forêt de Marly is a railway station in the French commune of L'Étang-la-Ville in the département of Yvelines. Its name derives from Saint-Nom-la-Bretèche and the Forêt de Marly. It links to the CSO bus line 1. It is one of the western termini of Line L of the Transilien Paris-Saint-Lazare suburban railway, made up of one platform between two lines.

The Lycée International de Saint-Germain-en-Laye (more commonly, Lycée International or L.I.; English: International High School of Saint-Germain-en-Laye) is a French public school located in Saint-Germain-en-Laye, Yvelines, in the western suburbs of Paris, France. Established in 1952 as a school for the children of international personnel working at Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe (SHAPE) in nearby Rocquencourt, the Lycée International caters to students with international and multilingual backgrounds. With a typical success rate of 99.9 to 100 percent on the French baccalauréat, the Lycée International consistently ranks among France's top schools and is considered to be the country's best public international school.Students at the Lycée International must be fluent in one of the languages taught in one of the school's fourteen national sections: American or British English, Chinese, Danish, Dutch, German, Italian, Japanese, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, and Swedish. However, they are not required to be fluent in French to be admitted, as there is a special one-year Français Spécial language program. The academic curriculum of the international sections supplements the standard French curriculum with additional courses in literature/language and history/geography, taught in the language of the students' respective national sections, allowing them to pursue the option internationale du baccalauréat (OIB), the international variant of the French baccalauréat. The school's main campus at 2 bis rue du Fer à Cheval (48°53′44″N 2°3′40″E) in Saint-Germain-en-Laye contains a preschool (maternelle), a primary school (école élémentaire), a middle school (collège), and an upper school (lycée). Due to the size of the student body, some larger national sections have satellite campuses for primary and middle school grades at other local schools in the area of Saint-Germain-en-Laye. All students return to the main campus for their final three (lycée-level) years.

Fourqueux (French pronunciation: [fuʁkø] ) is a former commune in the Yvelines department in the Île-de-France in north-central France. On 1 January 2019, it was merged into the commune Saint-Germain-en-Laye. It is a small suburb 20 km west of Paris. It is known for having a diverse community, due to the Lycée International being located in the neighboring town of Saint-Germain-en-Laye. Fourqueux has received prizes for its flowers on the departmental and regional level every year since 2005.

Golf de Saint-Nom-la-Bretèche (French pronunciation: [sɛ̃ nɔ̃ la bʁətɛʃ] ) is a 36-hole golf complex in Saint-Nom-la-Bretèche, Yvelines department, 25 km west of central Paris, France.

The 1963 Canada Cup took place 24–28 October at Golf de Saint-Nom-la-Bretèche in Saint-Nom-la-Bretèche, 30 km west of Paris, France. It was the 11th Canada Cup event, which became the World Cup in 1967. The tournament was a 72-hole stroke play team event with 33 teams, but was shortened to 63 holes. These were the same teams that had competed in 1962 but without Ecuador and Panama and with the addition of Austria. Each team consisted of two players from a country. The combined score of each team determined the team results. Thick fog meant that play was abandoned on the planned final day. Play was extended to Monday but was restricted to 9 holes. The American team of Jack Nicklaus and Arnold Palmer won by three strokes over the Spanish team of Sebastián Miguel and Ramón Sota. This was the sixth team title for the United States in the 11-year history of the event and the fourth in a row. The individual competition was won by Jack Nicklaus, who finished five shots ahead of Sebastián Miguel and South African Gary Player.

The Canton of Saint-Nom-la-Bretèche is a French former canton, located in the arrondissement of Saint-Germain-en-Laye, in the Yvelines département (Île-de-France région). It had 36,148 inhabitants (2012). It was disbanded following the French canton reorganisation which came into effect in March 2015.

Campus PSG, officially known as the Campus Paris Saint-Germain, is the training ground of Paris Saint-Germain Football Club. Located in Poissy, it replaced the Camp des Loges, the club's historical training facility in nearby Saint-Germain-en-Laye.Owned and financed by the club, the venue will bring together PSG's football (male and female), handball and judo teams, as well as the football and handball academies. Each division will have its own dedicated facilities. The Campus PSG will have its own stadium, which will complement PSG's home ground of the Parc des Princes. With a total capacity of 5,000, including over 3,000 seats, the arena will be the largest football stadium in the Yvelines department. It will host matches for PSG's youth and female sides in official competitions such as the UEFA Youth League and the UEFA Women's Champions League.Twenty-five minutes away from the Parc des Princes and fifteen minutes from the Camp des Loges, the 74-hectare site is part of PSG's global strategy to become one of the best-performing multi-sport clubs in the world. Construction began in February 2020 and is expected to end in 2024. The club's investment is reported to be in the region of €350m. PSG entrusted the project to French architect Jean-Michel Wilmotte and his architectural firm Wilmotte & Associés, known for designing the Allianz Riviera and the Kaliningrad Stadium.
