Church and 16th Street is a light rail stop on the Muni Metro J Church line, located in the Castro neighborhood of San Francisco, California. The station opened with the line on August 11, 1917. In March 2014, Muni released details of the proposed implementation of their Transit Effectiveness Project (later rebranded MuniForward), which included a variety of stop changes for the J Church line. No changes were proposed for the 16th Street stop. One early-implementation item - red transit-only lanes from the 16th Street platforms northwards - was installed in March 2013 while the rest of the project was still in planning.

Mission High School is a public high school in the San Francisco Unified School District (SFUSD) San Francisco, California.Serving grades 9-12, Mission is the oldest high school on its original site in San Francisco; it has been on 18th Street, between Dolores and Church, since 1896. The original campus burned in 1922, and the replacement was completed in two stages, the west wing in 1925 and the main building was dedicated by San Francisco mayor James Rolph on June 12, 1927. Originally, girls and boys had separate courtyards. The boys' is overlooked by the "baby tower," about 100 feet (30 m) high, and the girls' (right) topped by a 127-foot (39 m)-high baroque dome. Mission Creek runs beneath the school. The school is two blocks from Mission Dolores, from which it gets its name. The current student body is diverse, with Latino and Asian students constituting the two largest ethnic groups, although neither group makes up a majority of the student body.The lobby leads to a theater that has 1,750 folding wooden seats on two levels and a gold-leaf ceiling. Grand as any movie palace, it was outfitted with twin 35 mm projectors. Funding failed to materialize for the elaborate pipe organ system as promised, but the chandeliers have been re-lamped.

Mission Dolores is the oldest neighborhood in San Francisco and therefore its birthplace. It is named after the Spanish Mission Dolores settlement of 1776, and is a sub-area of the much larger Mission District.

In March 2014, Muni released details of the proposed implementation of their Transit Effectiveness Project (later rebranded MuniForward), which included a variety of stop changes for the J Church line. Under that proposal, the outbound platform would be moved inside Dolores Park opposite the inbound platform.

Aaxte is a Basque tapas bar and restaurant in San Francisco, California in the United States. The bar is located in the historic Swedish American Hall, above Cafe Du Nord. Aaxte was designed by Stellah DeVille. Ryan Pollnow is the chef and creator of the concept for the bar. He was inspired by time he spent in San Sebastián, where he trained at Mugaritz.They serve cocktails, specializing in gin and tonics. They serve over 50 different gins and 22 different tonics, including one on tap. The wine directors are Sam Bogue and Geno Tomko and Tommy Quimby is the bar manager.For food, they serve Basque pintxos. Pintxos' created by Pollnow include pickled mussels and anchovies, pork belly, and octopus. The bar has a music director, Megan Mayer. Aaxte was nominated as one of Bon Appétit's best new restaurants in American in 2015.Very probably the name of the restaurant come from the name of Aatxe, a legendary creature of Basque mythology.
