Gretton, Shropshire

Cardington is a village and civil parish in Shropshire, England. It is situated south of Shrewsbury, near Caer Caradoc Hill, and the nearest town is Church Stretton. The parish also contains the villages of Enchmarsh and Plaish, and most of the parish is in the Shropshire Hills AONB (Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty).

Rushbury railway station was a station in Rushbury, Shropshire, England. The station was opened in 1867 and closed in 1951. In 1892 a 15-lever signal box was added at the end of the platform. The station had two members of staff, a station master and signal man who performed all the required duties The station is now a private residence.

It is located near Plaish, Kenley and Hughley. The nearest towns are Much Wenlock and Church Stretton; both are approximately 7 miles by road. The nearest city is Birmingham, which is located to the East of Church Preen. It is approximately 49 miles by road and takes just over 1 hour to get there. Wilderhope Manor is a 16th-century manor house in the care of the National Trust. It is located on Wenlock Edge 7 miles (11 km) south west of Much Wenlock in Shropshire, England. The manor is a Grade I listed building and since 1937 has been used as a youth hostel.

Eaton-under-Heywood is a civil parish in Shropshire, England. The population of the civil parish at the 2011 census was 171.It is named after the small village of Eaton, which lies under Wenlock Edge and the woods along it. The village is also known as Eaton-under-Heywood (to distinguish it from the other places called Eaton) and the parish/village is sometimes spelt as Eaton-under-Haywood. A path, which is a public right of way, leads straight up the Edge from the village. It is called Jacob's Ladder. There is also a bridleway up the Edge from Eaton. The village of Ticklerton and the hamlets of Birtley, Harton, Hatton, Soudley and Wolverton are in the parish. The nearest town is Church Stretton. The historic parish church here is St Edith's. A little over a mile to the south are the earthwork remains of Middlehope Castle, a motte and bailey which was probably left unfinished.
