Chantry Park

St. Mark's Roman Catholic Church is a Catholic church on the Chantry Estate in Ipswich. It is part of the Roman Catholic Diocese of East Anglia. It opened in May 1959.Prior to the establishment of St. Mark's, the area was within the parish of St Pancras Church, Ipswich. Initially it was served by the Franciscans at East Bergholt, who also ministered at Brantham. Around 1973 most of the friars moved from East Bergholt to Canterbury, while a few set up small friary at Ipswich. The Franciscans withdrew in 1994.There is also a Roman Catholic Primary School attached to the parish, also called St Mark's, which opened in 1967. In 2018, St. Mark's School won the Suffolk Junior Schools Mock Trial Competition.The Catholic Church of the Holy Family in the village of Brantham is served from St Mark’s.

Chantry is a suburban residential area within the town of Ipswich, in the Ipswich district, in the county of Suffolk, England. It lies to the south of the town. The area is included in the Gipping ward of Ipswich Borough Council. It has a population of over 30,000.

Chantry Academy (formerly Suffolk New Academy and Chantry High School) is a secondary school with academy status in the Chantry area of Ipswich in the English county of Suffolk. The school educates children aged 11 to 16 and has around 750 pupils. The current principal, Craig D'Cunha, took up the post in February 2015.In 2018, the academy received a 'good' Ofsted inspection rating.

The South West Area, Ipswich is one of five administrative areas in Ipswich, through which Ipswich Borough Council divides its spending and enables feedback from local residents, businesses and community groups.The area is composed of four wards, each represented by three councillors. Each ward is also a Middle Layer Super Output Area (MSOA). As of the 2019 Ipswich Borough Council election, the councillors are as follows: These Councillors form the South West Area Committee of which Tracy Grant is the chair. The area is also covered by a Neighbourhood Watch network which comprises 35 neighbourhood watch schemes.

Gippeswyk Park is a park in the South West of Ipswich in England. It was bequeathed to Ipswich by the MP Felix Cobbold. The park is located very close to the train station and the park's primary use is for recreation and includes numerous football pitches as well as two tennis courts which are always popular during the summer months.

Pinewood is a civil parish and electoral ward in the Babergh district of the English county of Suffolk. Whilst not part of the borough, it forms part of the town of Ipswich although part of the parish is separated from it by Belstead Brook, a tributary of the River Orwell. The parish was formed on 1 April 1994 from parts of Washbrook, Belstead and Wherstead. It is in the Belstead Brook electoral division of Suffolk County Council.

The Bridge School is a coeducational special school located in Ipswich in the English county of Suffolk. The school was formed in 2010 as a result of the merger of Heathside Primary School and Belstead School, both of which were designated as special schools. The school has 20 nursery pupils, 100 primary and 60 secondary. The schools are located on one single site in Sprites Lane in Ipswich following completion of the new Primary School on land adjacent to the Secondary School. The secondary school educates children from ages 11 to 16 The primary campus has a nursery attached to it which children can join from age 3.The school is previously governed by an IEB or Interim Executive Board. However Suffolk County Council confirmed by letter on 8 February 2018 that there were no plans to convert the school to an academy following mixed communications and parent pressure. Despite this the school converted to academy status on 1 June 2019 and is now sponsored by the Unity Schools Partnership.

The Belstead Brook Hotel in Ipswich, Suffolk is a building of historical significance. It was originally a 16th-century hunting lodge but was used later as a family residence. The property was then converted to a hotel which now provides accommodation and restaurant facilities. It also caters for special events particularly weddings. The Cinema Museum in London holds home movie footage of the Hotel in about 1962.

St Joseph's College is a co-educational private school for day and boarding pupils between the ages of 2 and 19 in Ipswich, Suffolk, England. With usually 550-600 pupils on the roll, the College is located in South West Ipswich, surrounded by a 60-acre campus, which includes administrative offices in the Georgian Birkfield House, a nursery and Prep School, the College Chapel, and teaching and sports facilities. Also in the grounds are the College's two boarding houses, Goldrood and The Mews.

Belstead House is a Grade II listed 16th/17th century house in Sprites Lane, Pinewood, Suffolk. It was bought by Major Quilter in 1901. Until 1920 it was known as Hill House and lay at the centre of a 102 acre farm. The building was remodelled by Harold Hooper and Garrard in 1936, during which much of the original building was lost, although it was in some ways expanded using material from other period houses available locally.Belstead House was bought by East Suffolk County Council in 1948 to provide accommodation for High Court Judges visiting Ipswich. It was also used as venue for adult education, a use which increased when it was no longer used by the judges after 1974. Aside from use as a venue for residential courses, it was also used by Suffolk County Council.

Ipswich Stadium was a greyhound racing stadium situated in Ipswich, Suffolk.

Westbourne Academy is a secondary school with academy status located in Ipswich, Suffolk, England. It is a co-educational school for students aged 11–16 with post-16 provision accommodated at the Suffolk One sixth form centre. The principal is Bark Mouckley . The field used to be home of Ipswich Phoenix Football Club, and is now used by Ipswich Valley Rangers. The school has been known by many different names since 1939, such as, Western Senior Girls' School, Westbourne School, Westbourne High School and Westbourne Sports College before becoming an academy in February 2013. It is now part of the Academy Transformation Trust.
