Belstead House is a Grade II listed 16th/17th century house in Sprites Lane, Pinewood, Suffolk. It was bought by Major Quilter in 1901. Until 1920 it was known as Hill House and lay at the centre of a 102 acre farm. The building was remodelled by Harold Hooper and Garrard in 1936, during which much of the original building was lost, although it was in some ways expanded using material from other period houses available locally.Belstead House was bought by East Suffolk County Council in 1948 to provide accommodation for High Court Judges visiting Ipswich. It was also used as venue for adult education, a use which increased when it was no longer used by the judges after 1974. Aside from use as a venue for residential courses, it was also used by Suffolk County Council.

The Bridge School is a coeducational special school located in Ipswich in the English county of Suffolk. The school was formed in 2010 as a result of the merger of Heathside Primary School and Belstead School, both of which were designated as special schools. The school has 20 nursery pupils, 100 primary and 60 secondary. The schools are located on one single site in Sprites Lane in Ipswich following completion of the new Primary School on land adjacent to the Secondary School. The secondary school educates children from ages 11 to 16 The primary campus has a nursery attached to it which children can join from age 3.The school is previously governed by an IEB or Interim Executive Board. However Suffolk County Council confirmed by letter on 8 February 2018 that there were no plans to convert the school to an academy following mixed communications and parent pressure. Despite this the school converted to academy status on 1 June 2019 and is now sponsored by the Unity Schools Partnership.

Belstead is a village and civil parish in the Babergh district of the English county of Suffolk. Located on the southern edge of Ipswich, around 3 miles (5 km) south-west of Ipswich town centre. It had a population of 202 according to the 2011 census. Belstead has amenities such as a village hall, St Mary's the Virgin Church, The bridge school for children with learning difficulties and Belstead Brook Hotel and Spa. It is in the Belstead Brook electoral division of Suffolk County Council.

There are two notable Ipswich Hoards (which is to say, ancient hoards found in Ipswich, the county town of Suffolk, England). The first was a hoard of Anglo-Saxon coins discovered in 1863. The second was a hoard of six Iron Age gold torcs that was discovered in 1968 and 1969. The latter hoard has been described as second only to the Snettisham Hoard in importance as a hoard from the Iron Age, and is held at the British Museum.

The Belstead Brook Hotel in Ipswich, Suffolk is a building of historical significance. It was originally a 16th-century hunting lodge but was used later as a family residence. The property was then converted to a hotel which now provides accommodation and restaurant facilities. It also caters for special events particularly weddings. The Cinema Museum in London holds home movie footage of the Hotel in about 1962.

Chantry is a suburban residential area within the town of Ipswich, in the Ipswich district, in the county of Suffolk, England. It lies to the south of the town. The area is included in the Gipping ward of Ipswich Borough Council. It has a population of over 30,000.

Spring Wood is a 5.5 hectare Local Nature Reserve east of Belstead, on the southern outskirts of Ipswich in Suffolk. It is owned and managed by Ipswich Borough Council.This ancient oak and hornbeam wood has an understorey of hazel. There are small-leaved limes in groups several metres in diameter, which are genetically one tree, as a result of coppicing decades ago.There is access from the neighbouring Millennium Wood and by a footpath from Bobbits Lane.

Millennium Wood is a 3.8 hectare Local Nature Reserve on the southern outskirts of Ipswich in Suffolk. It is owned by Suffolk County Council and managed by the Greenways Countryside Project.New saplings have been planted on the edge of this ancient, semi-natural wood of hornbeam and coppiced lime. There are many flowers in the spring such as bluebells, wild garlic and archangel.There is access from Bobbits Lane.

St. Mark's Roman Catholic Church is a Catholic church on the Chantry Estate in Ipswich. It is part of the Roman Catholic Diocese of East Anglia. It opened in May 1959.Prior to the establishment of St. Mark's, the area was within the parish of St Pancras Church, Ipswich. Initially it was served by the Franciscans at East Bergholt, who also ministered at Brantham. Around 1973 most of the friars moved from East Bergholt to Canterbury, while a few set up small friary at Ipswich. The Franciscans withdrew in 1994.There is also a Roman Catholic Primary School attached to the parish, also called St Mark's, which opened in 1967. In 2018, St. Mark's School won the Suffolk Junior Schools Mock Trial Competition.The Catholic Church of the Holy Family in the village of Brantham is served from St Mark’s.

Chantry Park is a park located west of Ipswich town centre, in the Ipswich district, in the county of Suffolk, England. It is the largest park in Ipswich and extends over 124 acres. Chantry Park was opened to the public on 17 May 1928 and was designated a Conservation Area in 2005.Chantry Park itself is Grade II listed park, and it contains three Grade II listed structures: The Chantry and the gate house and entrance gatepiers (which share a listing).

Bobbits Lane is a 16.1 hectares (40 acres) Local Nature Reserve in Ipswich in Suffolk. It is owned by Ipswich Borough Council and managed by the Greenways Countryside Project.In the reserve, grassy paths run through wet meadows. Fauna include otters, water voles, kingfishers, egrets and toads.There is access to the site from Stoke Park Drive.
