The Maira is an Italian river, a right tributary of the Po, which runs through the province of Cuneo in eastern Piedmont. Its source is in the Cottian Alps near the Col de Mary (or Col Maurin) on the French border. Its name, in the Occitan and Piedmontese languages, means ‘lean’ or ‘meagre’. During its upper course the river descends rapidly through the scenic Valle Maira, passing through the centres of Acceglio, Prazzo, Stroppo, Macra, San Damiano Macra, Cartignano and Dronero; at Busca it leaves the valley and enters the plains, continuing through Villafalletto and Vottignasco. It passes just to the left of Savigliano, while the Grana-Mellea, its main tributary, passes to the right of the town: they continue in parallel before joining near Cavallermaggiore. The next town the river meets is Racconigi, where it follows the edge of the park of the Royal Castle of Racconigi, the celebrated summer residence of the House of Savoy. Finally the river enters briefly into the territory of the Province of Turin before joining the Po from the right within the municipal bounds of the Comune of Lombriasco. The Maira’s regime is typical of an Alpine torrent: full flowing in the spring, and tending to dry up in the summer months. Over a typical year its mean discharge is equal to 19.5 cubic metres per second (690 cu ft/s). During Roman times, the river was known as the Macra.

St. John International University (SJIU) was a private, independent university founded in 2007. It was incorporated by the U.S. state of New Hampshire in 2008 but lost its right to grant degrees in 2014. The university's campus was located in the Renaissance Della Rovere Castle in Vinovo (Torino), Italy, and its main office was in Concord, New Hampshire. SJIU offered four-year undergraduate degrees, two-year graduate programs, short-term study abroad academic programs and English language preparatory programs. As detailed in its mission statement, it was the first environmental American university in Italy. In May 2008 the Postsecondary Education Commission of the State of New Hampshire voted to grant approval to the university to offer undergraduate and graduate degrees. On June 29, 2009, the New Hampshire legislature authorized it to confer degrees upon its graduates, subject to the authority of the New Hampshire Postsecondary Education Commission. However, on June 30, 2014, the school lost its right to grant degrees.

The Varaita (Italian pronunciation: [vaˈraita]; Piedmontese: Vràita [ˈvrɑjta]; Occitan: Varacho [vaˈɾatʃu]) is a 75-kilometre (47 mi) river of the Province of Cuneo in northwest Italy. It is the first right tributary of the Po River.

Casalgrasso is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Cuneo in the Italian region Piedmont, located about 30 km (19 mi) south of Turin and about 50 km (31 mi) north of Cuneo.

Candiolo railway station (Italian: Stazione di Candiolo) serves the town and comune of Candiolo, in the Piedmont region of northwestern Italy. The station is a through station of the Turin-Pinerolo-Torre Pellice railway. Since 2012 it has served line SFM2, part of the Turin metropolitan railway service.

Polonghera borders the following municipalities: Casalgrasso, Faule, Moretta, Murello, Pancalieri, and Racconigi.

The Juventus Training Center (colloquially known as "the Vinovo") is a football training facility owned by Juventus, located in Vinovo a comune 14 kilometres southwest of the city of Turin. Designed by GAU and Shesa, the training ground features modern facilities and was opened in August 2006. The facility measures a total of 162,900 square meters and originally cost €12.5 million. Owned through Campi di Vinovo S.p.A., controlled by the club to 71.3% until 2003, until 2018, it was used as a training ground for the Juventus men's team until the construction of the new training center; it is now exclusively used for the matches and training for that of the Juventus youth sector (already from 2017), and that of the women's team.

Faule is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Cuneo in the Italian region Piedmont, located about 30 kilometres (19 mi) southwest of Turin and about 45 kilometres (28 mi) north of Cuneo, near the Po River. The city is famous for the piedmontais traditional food "Bagna Cauda" It is home to a 10th-century castle and to several medieval buildings.

Santi Gervasio e Protasio is the Roman Catholic parish church in None, region of Piedmont, Italy. A church at the site had been established by the feudal lord of the town, the Count of Piossasco, whose castle was adjacent to the church. It was used by the counts as a family burial church. The main altar, decorated by the coat of arms of the family, was built in 1720 by Count Gian Michele. The church underwent numerous refurbishments over the centuries. In 1949, a large reconstruction gave it the present shape and facade.
