Polonghera is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Cuneo in the Italian region Piedmont, located about 30 kilometres (19 mi) south of Turin and about 45 kilometres (28 mi) north of Cuneo. Polonghera borders the following municipalities: Casalgrasso, Faule, Moretta, Murello, Pancalieri, and Racconigi.

The Maira is an Italian river, a right tributary of the Po, which runs through the province of Cuneo in eastern Piedmont. Its source is in the Cottian Alps near the Col de Mary (or Col Maurin) on the French border. Its name, in the Occitan and Piedmontese languages, means ‘lean’ or ‘meagre’. During its upper course the river descends rapidly through the scenic Valle Maira, passing through the centres of Acceglio, Prazzo, Stroppo, Macra, San Damiano Macra, Cartignano and Dronero; at Busca it leaves the valley and enters the plains, continuing through Villafalletto and Vottignasco. It passes just to the left of Savigliano, while the Grana-Mellea, its main tributary, passes to the right of the town: they continue in parallel before joining near Cavallermaggiore. The next town the river meets is Racconigi, where it follows the edge of the park of the Royal Castle of Racconigi, the celebrated summer residence of the House of Savoy. Finally the river enters briefly into the territory of the Province of Turin before joining the Po from the right within the municipal bounds of the Comune of Lombriasco. The Maira’s regime is typical of an Alpine torrent: full flowing in the spring, and tending to dry up in the summer months. Over a typical year its mean discharge is equal to 19.5 cubic metres per second (690 cu ft/s). During Roman times, the river was known as the Macra.

The Pellice (in Piedmontese Pélis) is a 53-kilometre (33 mi) Italian torrent, which runs through the Metropolitan City of Turin. The stream is a tributary of the Po River, into which it flows near Villafranca Piemonte.

Virle Piemonte is a comune (municipality) in the Metropolitan City of Turin in the Italian region Piedmont, located about 25 kilometres (16 mi) southwest of Turin. The Sanctuary of the Visitation in Valinotto (Italian: Santuario della Visitazion del Valinotto) is a late-Baroque style, Roman Catholic sanctuary church located along the route SP138 in a rural farmland of Valinotto (or Vallinotto) near the town of Carignano in the Metropolitan City of Turin in the region of Piedmont, Italy. The small church, with its stunning hexagonal ribbed dome, was designed in 1738 by the prominent Piedmontese architect Bernardo Vittone.

Murello is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Cuneo in the Italian region Piedmont, located about 35 kilometres (22 mi) south of Turin and about 40 kilometres (25 mi) north of Cuneo. As of 1-1-2017, it had a population of 961 and an area of 17.33 square kilometres (6.69 sq mi).Murello borders the following municipalities: Cavallerleone, Moretta, Polonghera, Racconigi, Ruffia, and Villanova Solaro.

The Santuario Reale della Beata Vergine delle Grazie, or Royal Sanctuary of the Blessed Virgin of the Graces, is a Neoclassical-style, Roman Catholic church in Racconigi, Province of Cuneo, region of Piedmont, Italy.

The Royal Castle of Racconigi is a palace and landscape park in Racconigi, province of Cuneo, Italy. It was the official residence of the Carignano line of the House of Savoy, and is one of the Residences of the Royal House of Savoy included by UNESCO in the World Heritage Sites list.

The Church of San Giovanni Battista, while only a parish church in Racconigi, Italy, because of its size, it is considered the duomo of the town. A church at the site is documented from the 14th century. It was reconstructed in the 18th century by the architect Francesco Gallo, with interior quadratura decoration by Pietro Antonio Pozzo and Giuseppe Dallamano. The altar statuary were carved by Carlo Giuseppe Plura and Stefano Maria Clemente. The main altarpiece is by Claudio Francesco Beaumont. The church gallery has a painting by Carlo Sismonda.

Villanova Solaro is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Cuneo in the Italian region Piedmont, located about 40 kilometres (25 mi) south of Turin and about 40 kilometres (25 mi) north of Cuneo. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 788 and an area of 14.8 square kilometres (5.7 sq mi). The municipality of Villanova Solaro contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Vernetto and Airali. Villanova Solaro borders the following municipalities: Moretta, Murello, Ruffia, Scarnafigi, and Torre San Giorgio.
