Dyrham Park Country Club is a country house, estate and golf club in Hertfordshire, England, near Dancers Hill, several miles northeast of Borehamwood, and to the north of Barnet. It is a white Palladian mansion, set in two hundred acres, with an 18-hole golf course, adjacent to East Barnet Golf Club. The estate was originally settled as a manor in Elizabethan times and the current Palladian mansion was built in the 19th century. The house was renovated in the 1960s and the golf course was established in 1963. The house has been listed Grade II on the National Heritage List for England since May 1949.

Dancers Hill House is a Grade II listed house in Dancers Hill, Hertfordshire, England. The current house dates from c.1750–60, with later additions, and was probably built for Charles Ross, a Westminster builder, who leased 10 acres from David Hechstetter Jr. for 80 years in 1750. The grotto north-east of the house is also Grade II listed.The house has been used as a school, and during the Second World War it was part of Camp 33, which housed Italian prisoners of war.In 2018, the owners, Nigel and Melanie Walsh, who bought the house in 1992, offered it for sale by raffle, with a winner being drawn in January 2020.

Dancers Hill is located in Hertfordshire, England, immediately south of the route of the M25 motorway. It is in the historic county of Middlesex. The disputed manor of Mandeville was said to lie on the hill and to be part of the manor of South Mimms.It is now best known for the grade II listed Dancers Hill House (c. 1750–60) and for Dancers Hill Road which runs between St Albans Road in the west and Ganwick Corner in the west via Bentley Heath. The road is joined by Baker Street on its north side and Kitts End Road on its south side. Dancers Lane runs north from Dancers Hill Road past Dancers Hill House before joining Wash Lane. Dancers Hill Farmhouse, in Dancers Lane, is also grade II listed as are the Green Dragon public house (c.1830) in St Albans Road and the nearby bridge over the Mimmshall Brook.Just to the southwest of Dancers Hill is Dyrham Park, with its Grade II listed mansion.

Barnet Countryside Centre is a 3.3 hectare Site of Local Importance for Nature Conservation in High Barnet in the London Borough of Barnet. It is run by the Friends of Barnet Countryside Centre as a nature reserve and to provide environmental education for schools.The site has areas of native woodland which support a wide variety of birds. Several small ponds have frogs, newts and the ruddy darter dragonfly. More open areas have a good variety of insects including the small copper butterfly and Roesel's bush-cricket.The site was formerly a playing field, and in 1975 it was established as an environmental education centre. In 2009 Barnet Council gave planning permission to the Noah's Ark Children's Hospice for the redevelopment of the site. The nature reserve is still maintained by the Friends, but there is no public access. It can be viewed from Byng Road and from a footpath between Byng Road and Cavendish Road.

South Mimms services is a motorway service area accessible from Junction 23 of the M25 motorway which is also Junction 1 of the A1(M), in England near South Mimms, Hertfordshire. Constructed in 1986 as the first service area on the M25, it is operated by Welcome Break. It is built on the site of Bignell's Corner, named after a garden centre, Bignell and Cutbush, which was close to the junction of the old A6, and A1. At the junction there was also a pub, the Middlesex Arms, and an Esso Motor hotel, near which developed a notorious truck stop and the Beacon Cafe.

Queen Elizabeth's School, Barnet is a boys' grammar school in Barnet, northern Greater London, which was founded in 1573 by Robert Dudley, 1st Earl of Leicester, and others, in the name of Queen Elizabeth I. It is consistently ranked as one of the most academically successful secondary schools in England, having topped A Level league tables for grammar schools for five consecutive years, as of 2016, and was chosen by the Sunday Times as "State School of the Year" in 2007. An Ofsted report published in January 2008 stated: "It is held in very high regard by the vast majority of students and their parents, and rightly so." It has also been a Training school since April 2009 and has a specialism in Music.

Old Fold Manor Golf Club House, in the London Borough of Barnet, is a grade II listed building.Old Ford Manor was founded in 1910 by Viscount Enfield. The Club is believed to built on the battleground of the Battle of Barnet.

The Barnet Boys School Boer War Memorial is located opposite Christ Church on the St Albans Road in Chipping Barnet, London. It marks the deaths of the eight former pupils of Barnet Boys School who died in the Second Boer War of 1899 to 1902 and was unveiled by Field Marshal Lord Grenfell in July 1903. It has been grade II listed on the National Heritage List for England since June 2017. The heritage listing describes the monument as "simple yet dignified".

Whalebones Park is a 14-acre area of fields and woods in Chipping Barnet, London Borough of Barnet, England, between Barnet Hospital and Wood Street. It is home to the grade II listed house known as The Whalebones and a whale bone arch.It has been reported that the area is being considered for development, leading to a campaign to save it as a public park.

Ridge is a village and former civil parish, now in the parish of South Mimms and Ridge, in the Hertsmere borough of Hertfordshire, situated between Potters Bar and Shenley. At the 2011 Census population of Ridge parish was 177.It has a church, St Margaret's; a children's playground; and the Old Guinea public house, which serves food on most days. The village holds an annual fete on the August bank holiday. Ridge is surrounded by countryside with numerous public footpaths. In 1926, the parish boundary between Ridge, Hertfordshire, and South Mimms, Middlesex, was subject to a minor adjustment.Clare Hall in Ridge is a former manor house, built around 1745 by Thomas Roberts, a linen draper from St Albans. It was originally called Clay Hall and renamed Clare Hall in 1750. From 1886 to 1974, Clare Hall was used as an isolation hospital for diseases including smallpox and tuberculosis. It was taken over by the Imperial Cancer Research Fund in 1980 as a research laboratory. It is now part of the Francis Crick Institute.Field Marshal Harold Alexander, 1st Earl Alexander of Tunis, the World War II commander and former Governor General of Canada, is buried in St Margaret's churchyard.
