One Oak, Frognal

Frognal and Fitzjohns is a ward in the London Borough of Camden, the United Kingdom. It covers the western areas of Hampstead, between Hampstead Village and Finchley Road and takes its name from Frognal and Fitzjohn's Avenue. Like all other wards of Camden, Frognal and Fitzjohns is represented by three councillors on Camden Borough Council. These councillors are currently Siobhan Baillie, Andrew Mennear and Gio Spinella, all of the Conservative Party. The population of this ward at the 2011 Census was 11,986.The ward will be abolished for the 2022 election, and part of its area will become the newly created Frognal ward, with a smaller area transferred to Belsize.

West Hampstead is an area in the London Borough of Camden in north-west London. Mainly defined by the railway stations of the same name, it is situated between Childs Hill to the north, Frognal and Hampstead to the north-east, Swiss Cottage to the east, South Hampstead to the south-east, Kilburn to the west and south-west, and Cricklewood to the north-west. The area is mainly residential with several small shops, restaurants, cafes, bakeries concentrated on the northern section of West End Lane and around West End Green. It is served by three stations: West Hampstead on the Jubilee line, West Hampstead Overground station and West Hampstead Thameslink station. It is part of the Kilburn postal district (NW6).

Shepherd's Well at 5 Frognal Way in Frognal, London is a detached house that was designed by the architect Adrian Gilbert Scott as his personal residence. It was built between 1929 and 1930 and has been Grade II listed on the National Heritage List for England since January 1999.The Historic England heritage listing for Shepherd's Well highlights its "grey-brown handmade bricks, red pantiled roof" and "white-painted wooden sash windows" and detects influence of Edwin Lutyens in its design.Bridget Cherry, writing in the 1998 London: North edition of the Pevsner Architectural Guides described Shepherd's Well as "mannered Neo-Georgian" and noted that the "front door case has been removed".

Moreton House is a detached house on Holly Walk in Hampstead in the London Borough of Camden. It has been listed Grade II on the National Heritage List for England (NHLE) since December 1969.It was designed by the architect Thomas Garner for F.E. Sidney, an art historian and collector in 1894 and completed in 1896. The house is set over three storeys with distinctive tall chimney stacks with its architectural style described as "Cotswold vernacular Jacobean" by the NHLE listing and as a 'Jacobean manor house' by Nikolaus Pevsner. The central bay of the house projects forward to form a porch with a round arched entrance, a sculptured heraldic tablet is sited above the porch. A sculpture of the Virgin and child sits as an aedicule above the window on the first floor. '1896' is inscribed on the head of the drainpipes of the house.The house originally had extensive terraced gardens, these were subsequently been built on in the 20th century. The London: North edition of the Pevsner Architectural Guides described the houses built on the former grounds of Moreton House as "mediocre". A series of photos of the gardens when first laid out were taken by the architect Michael Bunney and the prints form part of the Bunney Collection in the Historic England Archive in Swindon.The house was featured in House and Garden magazine in 1905.

The Wabe is an architecturally eclectic detached house on Redington Road, Hampstead, London, built in 1902–1903 for the academic and mathematician William Garnett. It was subsequently the home of the Canadian explorer Mina Hubbard and her husband, and later of the actor Tom Conti and his wife.

St Margaret's School (Hampstead) is a private girls' school in Hampstead, North London. The school has 150 girls (ages 4 to 16) and 24 teachers. In 2008 and 2009 the school came top of the Sunday Times' Small Independent Schools' league table.

Abernethy House at 7 Mount Vernon is a house in Hampstead in the London Borough of Camden. It has been listed Grade II on the National Heritage List for England (NHLE) since May 1974. It was originally built as a girls school around 1819. It is a 2-storey house with attics with a double front with 3 windows. A wooden door case surrounds the central entrance.The house was a lodging house by the 1870s. In 1873 the writer Robert Louis Stevenson stayed here for the first time. it was whilst staying at the house that Stevenson wrote that "Hampstead is the most delightful place for air and scenery near London". Stevenson also stayed here with Sidney Colvin.A plaque erected by the commemorates Stevenston's stay at the house.

Capo di Monte at 3 Judges's Walk on Windmill Hill is a house in Hampstead in the London Borough of Camden. It is listed Grade II on the National Heritage List for England. The house stands on the corner of Upper Terrace and Judge's Walk.The house dates to the late 18th century and has been considerably altered. It was in existence by 1762. It is rendered in stucco with weatherboard extensions to the rear. It is 2 storeys with a basement. The actress Sarah Siddons stayed at the house from 1804 to 1805, an "S" above the door commemorates her residence. Mavis Norris, in The Book of Hampstead, describes the house as 'three cottages knocked into one'. The house subsequently became known as Siddons Cottage. The secretary of the Athenaeum Club, a Mr. Macgrath, lived in the house after Siddons.The art historian and administrator Kenneth Clark and his family moved to Capo di Monte in 1941, having previously rented Upton House in Gloucestershire. Stephen Spender and his wife Natasha regularly dined with the Clarks at the house during the war. The Clarks moved from the house to nearby Upper Terrace House in 1946. The house later became the residence of Marghanita Laski.The house was put up for sale for £6.9 million in 2020.A drawing of Capo di Monte by Frederick Charles Richards is in the collection of the Newport Museum in Newport, Wales.

Hendon South was a constituency in the former Municipal Borough of Hendon (in 1965 subsumed into the London Borough of Barnet) which returned one Member of Parliament (MP) to the House of Commons of the Parliament of the United Kingdom. It was created for the 1945 general election, when the Hendon seat was split into two, and abolished for the 1997 general election, with Childs Hill, Garden Suburb, and Golders Green wards going to Finchley and Golders Green along with wards from Finchley. Hendon and West Hendon wards were transferred to new constituency: Hendon.
