Lower Ancyle

Ilisia (Greek: Ιλίσια pronounced [iˈli.si.a]) is a neighborhood of Athens, Greece, named after the river Ilisos. A portion of the neighborhood, Ano Ilisia (Upper Ilisia), is in Zografou and is near the Theology, Philosophy and Scientific faculties of the University of Athens. The lower (western) part is also known as the "Hilton" neighborhood due to the proximity of the Hilton Athens hotel. Ilisia is named after the Ilisos river, which rises near Kaisariani on the slopes of Mount Hymettus and which, although Athens' historic river, is barely noticeable except in heavy rain. The name originally used for the villa of Sophie de Marbois-Lebrun, Duchess of Plaisance (Villa Ilisia), that was built near Ilisos river in 1848. Today this building hosts the Byzantine Museum.

The Alexandra General Hospital is a General hospital in central Athens, Greece. It was established in 1954, initially as a Maternity Hospital and later as a Maternity & Obstetrics - Gynecological Hospital. It is located at Vassilisis Sofias avenue in the center of Athens. It is named after Princess Alexandra, the daughter of King George I, who became the Grand Duchess of Russia before dying during labour.

Megaro Moussikis (Greek: Μέγαρο Μουσικής, Megaro Mousikis, lit. 'Concert Hall') is a station on the Athens Metro, located just outside the Athens Concert Hall on Vassilissis Sophias Ave. The U.S. Embassy, as well as the hospitals "Alexandra", "Areteion", "NIMITS" and "Eginition", are close to the station.

The Athens Concert Hall (Greek: Μέγαρον Μουσικής Αθηνών, Mégaron Mousikis Athinon) is a concert hall located on Vasilissis Sofias Avenue in Athens, Greece. The Hall was inaugurated in 1991 with two halls. Since then it has been augmented with two more halls and now has a total of four: two large and two smaller ones. The Hall has optimal facilities for opera performances, and some operas are presented every season. The Megaro Moussikis station of the Athens Metro is just outside the Hall, on Line 3. The design of the 8,000 square meters floor was performed by Christopher Alexander; the process of designing and laying the floor and its result are described in his work The Nature of Order: An Essay on the Art of Building and the Nature of the Universe.

The Lilian Voudouri Music Library of Greece is a library located in Greece that specializes in music and was created under an initiative of the Friends of Music Society. The library opened to the public in February 1997. The library’s collection is primarily made up of western European music, going back to ancient Greek music. The collection also includes material on world music, jazz, ancient Greek art, theater, dance, literature, philosophy, and fine art. The library's collection includes books, audio recordings, musical scores, microforms, journals, concert programs, CD-ROMs, and databases.

Gounaropoulos Museum is located in Athens, Greece. Founded in 1979, it belongs to the municipality of Zografou and aims to present and promote the work of the painter Giorgos Gounaropoulos. The museum is housed in the artist's home and atelier, and contains 40 oil paintings and drawings, the artist's personal belongings and archive. Guided tours and educational programs are offered, and a variety of art exhibitions, lectures and other cultural events are hosted.

Upper Ancyle or Ankyle Kathyperthen (Ancient Greek: Ἀγκυλή καθύπερθεν) was the name of a deme of ancient Attica. It was located east of Athens and bordering Agryle to the south. Upper Ancyle passed from the phyle Aigeis to Antigonis in 307/306 BCE; Lower Ancyle remained in the Aigeis phyle.In the 3rd century, in Roman times, the demoi were home to rich landed properties. Their name derives from the Greek name for "javelin" (which was thrown with a rope). The same root also appears in an epithet attributed to Cronus and to Prometheus, "of sharp wits". The site of Lower Ancyle is located northeast of modern Ardettos.

The Athens Naval Hospital (Greek: Ναυτικό Νοσοκομείο Αθήνων, ΝΝΑ) is the largest Navy hospital in Greece. It is situated at the foothill of Lycabettus Hill, at Dinokratous 70 in Central Athens. Construction started in 1948, but it became operational in 1955, and was renovated and enlarged in 1995.

The National Gallery (Greek: Εθνική Πινακοθήκη, Ethniki Pinakothiki) is an art museum located on Vasilissis Sofias avenue in the Pangrati district, Athens, Greece. It is devoted to Greek and European art from the 14th century to the 20th century. The newly renovated building reopened after an 8 year refurbishment, on 24 March 2021, a day before the 200th anniversary of the Greek War of Independence.

The Monastery of the Holy Incorporeal Taxiarchs (Άγιοι Ασώματοι Ταξιάρχες), commonly known as Petraki Monastery (Μονή Πετράκη, "Monastery of Petrakis"), is a Byzantine-era monastery in Kolonaki, Athens. It serves as the seat of the Holy Synod of the Church of Greece. Although attested for the first time in Ottoman times, the monastery's katholikon, a cross-in-square church of the Constantinopolitan type, dates to the 10th century. It is first attested in the Ottoman period as a stauropegic monastery and a metochion of the Karea Monastery on Mount Hymettus. It was also known as tou Koukoupoule (τοῦ Κουκουπουλῆ), but received its current popular name in 1673, following its renovation by Parthenios Petrakis.
