Cranworth is a village and civil parish in the Breckland district of the English county of Norfolk.

Woodrising is a village and former civil parish, now in the parish of Cranworth, in the Breckland district, in the county of Norfolk, England. The village of Woodrising is south of Dereham. In 1931 the parish had a population of 103.The parish church of St Nicholas dates mainly to the 14th century, its tower collapsing in the early 18th century. The bell frame (bell-cot or bell-cote), with a thatched roof, is preserved nearby, although the bell within it may be of 19th century origin.

Letton Hall is a Grade II listed eighteenth-century Neoclassical stately home designed by Sir John Soane for the Gurdon family between 1783 and 1789. It is located at Letton near Shipdham, Norfolk.

On 1 April 1935 the parish was abolished and merged with Cranworth.The main building in Letton is Letton Hall a Grade II listed building, now mainly a religious holiday centre. The property was formerly owned by the Gurdon family. The former church of All Saints is now a ruin.

Scoulton Mere is a 34.2-hectare (85-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest west of Wymondham in Norfolk.The principal ecological interest of this site lies in the swamp, fen and bog flora on islands in the mere and along the shore. The largest island, called Scoulton Heath, is mainly covered in sphagnum moss, and other plants include the nationally rare crested buckler fern.There is no public access to the site.

Scoulton is a small village and civil parish in the county of Norfolk, England, situated 16 miles (26 km) west of the city of Norwich and 21 miles (34 km) north-north-east of Thetford. The villages name means 'Skuli's farm/settlement' Scoulton lies on the main road between Norwich and the market town of Watton. Increasingly a dormitory for workers in Norwich's insurance and other service industries, it was traditionally agricultural, relying particularly on the production of sugar beet and on pig farming. It has a fine, partially thatched Saxon church. The civil parish has an area of 9.02 km2 (3.48 sq mi) and in 2011 had a population of 246 in 99 households. The population is split between two main areas of settlement and a number of small, isolated farms. For the purposes of local government, the parish falls within the district of Breckland.Scoulton is known for its artificial and heavily wooded lake or "mere", which was the product of extensive flint quarrying and a breeding ground of the black-headed gull. Large numbers of eggs were harvested in the Middle Ages. The gull colony survived until at least the 1950s. The harvested eggs formed the basis of a now obsolete dish known as Scoulton Pie. The collection of these eggs is depicted on the village sign.

Shipdham is a village and civil parish in the Breckland district, in Norfolk, England, approximately 5 miles (8.0 km) south-south-west of Dereham. In the 2001 census the parish had a population of 2,145 in 899 households, falling at the 2011 Census to a population of 2,057 in 899 households. It covers an area of 18.69 km2 (7.22 sq mi). It is also known to be the longest village in Norfolk. The villages name means 'flock of sheep homestead/village'. The River Yare rises to the east of the village and flows east, while the River Wissey rises to the north and flows westwards.Shipdham Airfield (formerly RAF Shipdham) is located east of the village. The village was struck by an F1/T2 tornado on 23 November 1981, as part of the record-breaking nationwide tornado outbreak on that day.

Carbrooke is a village and civil parish in the Breckland district of Norfolk, England. It is 3 miles (4.8 km) from the centre of Watton and 17 miles (27 km) from Thetford. In the 2011 Census, Carbrooke had a population of 2,073 people in 835 households.

Little Ellingham is a village and civil parish in the English county of Norfolk. The village is 4.6 miles (7.4 km) north-west of Attleborough, 2 miles (3.2 km) north-west of its sister village of Great Ellingham, 18.8 miles (30.3 km) west-south-west of Norwich and 105 miles (169 km) north-east of London. The nearest railway station is at Attleborough for the Breckland Line which runs between Cambridge and Norwich. The nearest airport is Norwich International Airport. Little Ellingham is served by St Peter's Church in the Benefice of Great Ellingham.

Whinburgh and Westfield is a civil parish in the English county of Norfolk. It covers an area of 7.56 km2 (2.92 sq mi) and had a population of 307 in 134 households at the 2001 census. 10 years later it has a population (including Brakefield Green) of 342 according to the 2011 census. For the purposes of local government, it falls within the district of Breckland. The civil parish is located south of the nearby town Dereham and is formed from the two ancient parishes which centred round the churches of St Mary's Whinburgh and St Andrew's Westfield, and until 1894 the churches performed all the functions of local government. Norfolk was a county of small villages and parishes. The County of Norfolk Review Order, 1935, sought to rationalise this, and under this Westfield Parish was 'abolished' and merged with Whinburgh Parish. The name of the resultant parish was not changed from Whinburgh. For many years nothing was done about the parish's name, but on 2 August 1995, at the request of the Parish Council, Breckland Council sealed a 'Notice of the Change of Parish Name' and the parish then became Whinburgh and Westfield.
