Ashwood High School is a coeducational public school located in Ashwood, Victoria, Australia. Ashwood offers a wide range of academic subjects and in 2016 introduced an Accelerated Curriculum and Enrichment Program (ACE). This program is unique in that it is the only secondary school in the seat of Burwood with an accelerated learning program. As of November 2019, the curriculum has expanded to include an extensive arts programme. In early 2013 the school was allowed a grant to rebuild the majority of the classroom facilities, which includes the Middle School Centre (opened in late 2014), as well as the Senior School Centre, which opened in 2016.

Burwood Cemetery is a cemetery in Burwood, Victoria in Australia. It dates back to 1858, and was originally known as Nunawading General Cemetery. It is known as a resting place of notable figures from Melbourne. The site is operated by Greater Metropolitan Cemeteries Trust, who also manage eighteen other cemeteries and memorial parks around Victoria, including Preston Cemetery, Fawkner Memorial Park, Altona Memorial Park and Coburg Pine Ridge Cemetery.

Salesian College is a Roman Catholic Independent school for boys located in the Melbourne suburb of Chadstone. Founded on the philosophies of Saint John Bosco, the college aims to offer a Salesian ideal of education. Salesian comprises two campuses – Bosco (Years 7–8 & Years 10–12) being the school's main campus and Mannix (Year 9) catering solely for one year level. The Division of Chisholm is an Australian Electoral Division in Victoria located in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne. The division was created in 1949 and is named after Caroline Chisholm, a social worker and promoter of women's immigration. The Division's current MP is Carina Garland of the Australian Labor Party. The constituency is considered a key marginal constituency targeted by both Labor and the Liberal Party of Australia.
