Wollaton Hall

Splendour in Nottingham (more commonly known as Splendour or Splendour Festival) is an annual one-day music festival held in Nottingham, England since 2008. Organised by Nottingham City Council and DHP Concerts, the event is held within Wollaton Park, to the west of Nottingham City Centre. The first event was held in 2008 as a two-day event featuring artists Kate Nash, Paolo Nutini, Ocean Color Scene and Rufus Wainwright. In 2019 the capacity of the festival was 25,000.

Wollaton Park is a 500 acre park in Nottingham, England, which includes a deer park. It is centred on Wollaton Hall, a classic Elizabethan prodigy house which contains the Nottingham Natural History Museum, with the Nottingham Industrial Museum in the stable block. Various events including concerts are held in the park.

The Nottingham Industrial Museum is a volunteer-run museum situated in part of the 17th-century stables block of Wollaton Hall, located in a suburb of the city of Nottingham. The museum won the Nottinghamshire Heritage Site of the Year Award 2012, a local accolade issued by Experience Nottinghamshire. The Museum collection closed in 2009 after Nottingham City Council withdrew funding, but has since reopened at weekends and bank holidays, helped by a £91,000 government grant, and run by volunteers. The museum contains a display of local textiles machinery, transport, telecommunications, mining and engineering technology. There is a display of cycles, motorcycles, and motor cars. There are examples of significant lace-making machinery. It also houses an operational beam engine, from the Basford, Nottingham pumping station.

St. Barnabas’ Church is a Church of England church in Lenton Abbey, Nottingham.

St Leonard's Church is a Church of England parish church in Wollaton, Nottinghamshire, England. Dating originally from the 13th century, the church was restored in the Victorian era and again in the 20th century. It is notable for the large number of funerary monuments it contains. Many are to the Willoughby family, of nearby Wollaton Hall. There is also a memorial to Robert Smythson, designer of the hall, and one of the first English architects. The church is a Grade II* listed building.

The De Vere East Midlands Conference Centre is a commercially run conference facility on the University Park Campus of the University of Nottingham in England.

Bluecoat Wollaton Academy is an 11–16 mixed, Church of England, secondary school with academy status in Wollaton, Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, England. It is part of the Archway Learning Trust and is located in the Diocese of Southwell and Nottingham.

Lenton Abbey is a large housing estate, forming a neighbourhood in Nottingham, close to Wollaton, Beeston and the University of Nottingham.

This is a list of halls of residence on the various campuses of the University of Nottingham in Nottingham, England. The University of Nottingham has a particularly well developed system of halls located on its campus. The halls acts a microcosms of the university at large and provide a community-level forum for the interaction of undergraduates, postgraduates and senior academics. As of 2020, incoming undergraduate students do not apply for a specific hall but a room type and a 'zone'; they can be allocated into any of the halls in that zone. The zones are as follows: Central Zone: Derby and Hugh Stewart North Zone: Cripps and Lenton & Wortley Sports Zone: Ancaster, Beeston, Nightingale, Rutland and Sherwood West Zone: Cavendish, Florence Boot and Willoughby Quiet Zone: Lincoln (part of a trial for 2020, aimed at students in search of a quieter lifestyle with no alcohol and earlier quiet hours.) The halls are generally named either after counties, districts or places in the English East Midlands (Nottingham having been originally conceived as a regional university for this area) or significant people associated with the university. Beeston, Lenton, Lincoln, Derby, Rutland, Sherwood, Newark, Southwell, Ancaster and Melton halls fall into the former category; Hugh Stewart, Cripps, Cavendish, Nightingale, Florence Boot, Wortley and Willoughby into the latter.

Wollaton is a suburb and former parish in the western part of Nottingham, England. Wollaton has two Wards in the City of Nottingham (Wollaton East and Lenton Abbey and Wollaton West) with a total population as at the 2011 census of 24,693. It is home to Wollaton Hall with its museum, deer park, lake, walks and golf course.

Cripps Health Centre is the base for the University of Nottingham Health Service (UNHS). Its new building, opened in 2018, is the largest single site practice health centre in the United Kingdom. About 45,000 patients are registered there and there are 50 staff. The Cripps Foundation, founded by Sir Humphrey Cripps donated £9 million to finance the rebuilding of the centre. The previous, smaller, building opened in 1969 and had 6,000 students and staff registered.It was designed by CPMG Architects and Arup Group with not only clinical consulting rooms, minor operations suites and a patient observation bay, but physiotherapy areas, and a dental treatment surgery, pharmacy and space for the university mental health advisory service as well as the usual training rooms and offices. There are medicinal and aromatherapy plants in a courtyard garden.The centre provided a free sexual health service until March 2018 when funding for it was withdrawn. Nottingham City Council said it was "additional and complementary to core provision."The University of Nottingham Health Service is an NHS general practice and has been rated as Outstanding by the Care Quality Commission in 2015 and most recently upon reinspection in 2019.

Broadgate Park is a self-catered hall of residence at the University of Nottingham, accommodating under-graduate and post-graduate students. Housing about 2400 students and containing 2,223 rooms, it is one of the largest student villages in Europe. It is located outside of the West Entrance of the University Park campus. It is owned and maintained by University Partnerships Programme. The warden is Dr Anna Pelekanou.
