145 Neil Road is a shophouse on Neil Road in Bukit Merah, Singapore. It was gazetted for conservation as part of the Blair Plain Conservation Area.

The Nei Xue Tang Museum ("Hall of Inner Learning") (Simplified Chinese: 内学堂）is a private museum of Buddhist art in Singapore. The museum was created by collector Woon Wee Teng under a program enacted by the Singapore government to allow collectors to show their collections in their own homes. Opened in 2005, the collection is located in a four-storey pre-war house built in the Peranakan style on Cantonment Road. In 2007 the museum announced plans for a much larger museum.

Bukit Pasoh Road (Chinese: 武吉巴梳路: Malay: Jalan Bukit Pasoh) is a road in Tanjong Pagar within the Outram Planning Area of Singapore. The road starts from Neil Road which is one way, but becomes two ways, when the road forks out into two parts, with one becoming Teo Hong Road, with both roads ending at New Bridge Road. The road is mainly lined with conserved shophouses and houses a high-end boutique hotel known as the New Majestic Hotel.

The Central Police Division (or 'A' Division), is one of the seven land division of the Singapore Police Force. It was established in 1867 and is the longest-serving Police Division in Singapore. Amongst the seven land divisions covering all of Singapore's primary land mass, Central Division has the smallest operational area, covering just over 27 square kilometres and has a residential population of around 280,000.

The Volunteer Special Constabulary (VSC) is an important component of the Singapore Police Force (SPF), contributing more than seventy years of volunteer service to the nation. The VSC officers are imbued with equal powers of a regular police officer to enforce law and order in Singapore. The VSC comprises volunteers from the general public, from grassroots committee volunteers to white-collar workers to blue-collar workers, to serve the common good by complementing the Singapore Police Force. VSC Officers wear the same police uniform to mainly patrol the streets and participate in public outreach roadshows to clock their volunteering hours. Previously headquartered at the Eu Tong Sen Street Police Station and Toa Payoh Police Station, it relocated to the new Police Cantonment Complex in year 2000.

The Commercial Affairs Department (CAD) is a staff department of the Singapore Police Force (SPF). The department was first established in 1984 as the Commercial Crime Department (CCD), it is the white-collar crimes unit of the SPF.

The Police Cantonment Complex (PCC) is a high-rise government complex located on 391 New Bridge Road, Singapore 088762, next to Outram Park MRT station. It was officially opened in July 2001.

Lee Kuan Yew, the founding prime minister of Singapore died at the age of 91 on 23 March 2015, after being hospitalised with severe pneumonia on 5 February that year. Many world leaders issued public condolences.A week-long period of national mourning was declared by the government, from 23 to 29 March that year. All flags, including the National Flag, were flown at half-mast during the period.

Singapore General Hospital (abbreviation: SGH) is an academic health science centre as well as a tertiary referral hospital in Singapore, located next to the Bukit Merah and Chinatown districts of the Central Region. It is located close to the Outram Community Hospital (OCH), which functions as a supplementary community and rehabilitation hospital to the SGH for newly discharged patients. There is also the Outram Polyclinic to complement outpatient care. All of these institutions are operated by SingHealth, which comes under the purview of the Singaporean government's Ministry of Health (MOH). It is the largest and oldest hospital in Singapore, and functions as the country's national hospital. Its foundation of its first building was laid in 1821, before its first major expansion in 1926. Subsequent expansions as well as renovations were also made in the following decades. SGH is the flagship hospital of SingHealth, the country's largest group of public healthcare institutions and the principal teaching hospital for the Duke–NUS Medical School, which is affiliated with the National University of Singapore (NUS). Its campus includes four national specialty centres, namely the Singapore National Eye Centre (SNEC), the National Heart Centre Singapore (NHCS), the National Cancer Centre Singapore (NCCS) and the National Dental Centre Singapore (NDCS). A fifth specialty centre, the Elective Care Centre Singapore (ECC), is currently under construction and it is expected to be completed in 2025. SGH has been considered as being one of the best hospitals in the world, being consistently ranked in the top 10 by Newsweek, reaching its highest of 3rd in 2019. Subsequently, it is the highest ranked hospital in Asia, drawing in patients from around the region, with SGH performing near the highest number of transplants in the country, including both solid hematologic and organ transplantation.

Jiak Chuan Road (Chinese: 若铨路; pinyin: Ruò quán lù) is a two-way road in Chinatown within the Outram Planning Area in Singapore. The road links Teck Lim Road to Keong Saik Road, it is home to several budget hotels and rows of shophouses. The place was formerly part of the Keong Saik Road red light district, home to numerous brothels.

Cantonment MRT station is a future underground Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) station on the Circle line (CCL), situated in Bukit Merah planning area, Singapore, along Everton Road near the junction of Spottiswoode Park Road. This station is part of Stage 6 of the Circle line which will "close the circle" between the HarbourFront and Marina Bay stations. The station is built underneath and will be integrated with the historic Tanjong Pagar railway station, which ceased operations on 1 July 2011. Cantonment station will provide MRT access to the future Greater Southern Waterfront development. The station was to be opened in 2025 along with the other CCL6 stations, but was delayed to 2026 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The New Majestic Hotel, on Bukit Pasoh Road in Singapore's Chinatown is a hotel built in 1928. The building originally consisted of four shophouses and a restaurant. It is a boutique hotel under The Unlisted Collection owned by Loh Lik Peng.In 2003, the exterior was restored to its original state, and the lobby ceiling was stripped to reveal the previous paintwork. It was reopened as a boutique hotel. The restoration earned it a national Architectural Heritage award. Furnishings include old dentist's chairs and theatre seats, as well as more modern items. In 2006, a company called Ministry of Design designed the interior architecture for the building.
