Lefort House

The Battle of LaFourche Crossing (also spelled Lafourche Crossing) took place in Lafourche Parish, Louisiana, United States and fought on June 20–21, 1863, during the American Civil War as part of a campaign known as Taylor's Operations in West Louisiana.

Chatchie Plantation House, also known as Homewood, is a historic Louisiana plantation house located along LA 308, about 3.6 miles (5.8 km) east of Thibodaux. The original house, built in 1847, burned near the end of Civil War. The actual structure is a 1+1⁄2-story fully raised frame house built in c. 1868. The original kitchen, unharmed by fire, was included in the present building. The main gallery has six Doric posts and the house has an unusually large attic space, comprising four rooms and a central hall.The mansion was added to the National Register of Historic Places on October 25, 1982.

Zephirin Toups Sr. House is a historic house located along Bayou Blue Bypass Road, about 5.9 miles (9.5 km) southeast of Thibodaux, Louisiana. Built in 1866, the house is a 1+1⁄2-story frame residence in French Creole style with some Greek Revival decorative details. The house was originally located along Bayou Lafourche, on LA 308, between Thibodaux and Raceland. The house was threatened with demolition in 1974, was purchased by a descendant of Zephirin Toups and moved to its present location.The house was added to the National Register of Historic Places on August 12, 1993.

Ben Meyer Diamond at Ray E. Didier Field is a baseball venue in Thibodaux, Louisiana, United States. It is home to the Nicholls Colonels baseball team of the NCAA Division I Southland Conference. Opened in 1960, the venue has a capacity of 2,100 spectators. The grandstand features chairback seating and a pressbox. The field is named after Raymond E. Didier, head baseball coach from 1964 to 1973 and athletic director from 1963 to 1978. The diamond is named in honor of Ben Meyer.

Manning Field at John L. Guidry Stadium is a 10,500-seat multi-purpose stadium in Thibodaux, Louisiana. It is home to the Nicholls Colonels football team of the Southland Conference in the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS). The stadium is named in honor of former state representative John L. Guidry who was instrumental in the establishment of Francis T. Nicholls Junior College. The playing surface is named Manning Field after the Manning family (Peyton, Eli, Cooper and Archie) because the family holds the annual Manning Passing Academy football camp at the facility. The current playing surface is GeoGreen Replicated Grass. The stadium was officially dedicated on September 16, 1972. The stadium features a three-level press box on the west side with a photo deck located on the roof. The president's suite and a 30-seat club level is located on the third level. The second-level houses an area for game management staff, television, radio and coaches' booths and a working press area. On the ground level is the Colonels Club Room. Members use the club room as a hospitality area before home football games as well as for various university functions throughout the year. The stadium is also the site of LHSAA high school football games, Crawfish Day, Winter Fest and holds marching band competitions.

Nicholls State University is a public university in Thibodaux, Louisiana. Founded in 1948, Nicholls is part of the University of Louisiana System. Originally named Francis T. Nicholls Junior College, the university is named for Francis T. Nicholls, a former governor of Louisiana, member of the Louisiana Supreme Court, and general in the Confederate army during the American Civil War. The 287-acre (1.16 km2) campus, once part of Acadia Plantation, fronts on Bayou Lafourche, about 50 miles (80 km) southwest of New Orleans and 60 miles (97 km) southeast of Baton Rouge. Its oldest structure, Elkins Hall, was completed in 1948 and is on the National Register of Historic Places. Nicholls is located in the Acadiana region. It is also within the geographical bounds of the Mississippi River Delta, and close to the Mississippi River, its distributaries, Louisiana's wetlands, and the Gulf of Mexico.

David R. Stopher Gymnasium or Stopher Gym is a 3,800-seat multi-purpose arena in Thibodaux, Louisiana, United States, on the campus Nicholls State University. It is named for David R. Stopher. It is home to the Nicholls Colonels men's and women's basketball teams and women's volleyball team. It hosts many other functions including Nicholls' commencement, Manning Passing Academy and a variety of concerts and community events.

The Nicholls Soccer Complex is a soccer facility located on the campus of Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, United States. It serves as the home of the Nicholls Colonels women's soccer team. The stadium has a seating capacity of 1,000.In 2012, the soccer stadium received a complete renovation which including locker rooms, a team area, offices, new press box and a concession area.
