Monte Corrasi

The Supramonte is a mountain range located in central-eastern Sardinia, Italy. It lies northeast of the Gennargentu massif, traveling eastwards until it reaches the Tyrrhenian Sea at the Gulf of Orosei. It has an area of about 35,000 hectares, encompassing most of the territories of the comuni (municipalities) of Baunei, Dorgali, Oliena, Orgosolo and Urzulei. The populated areas of these comuni lie at the borders of the Supramonte, which, for the most part, is a largely uninhabited area of sharp limestone cliffs and deep, lush canyons.

Oliena (Italian pronunciation: [oˈliːena] or less correctly [oˈljɛːna]; Sardinian: Ulìana [uˈli.ana]) is a commune in the province of Nuoro, Sardinia, Italy.

Tiscali Village is an archaeological site situated in Sardinia, in the comune of Dorgali. It is situated within a large cave in Monte Tiscali. It consists of the remains of a number of round dwellings dating from the first millennium BC. The site was re-discovered a little over a century ago and was first documented by the Italian historian Ettore Pais in 1910 and then in greater detail by Antonio Taramelli in 1927. There was a short excavation campaign in 2000 by the Soprintendenza per i Beni Archeologici per le Provincie di Sassari e Nuoro. Telecommunications company Tiscali took its name from the site.

Su Gologone is a karst spring in the Supramonte range northeast of Oliena, in the province of Nuoro, Sardinia, Italy. From the source in Oliena, a short stream originates which feeds the Cedrino. The water comes out of a crack in the limestone rock, which goes underground to the depth currently explored by speleologists of 135 m (443 ft). The maximum lean flow rate of the spring was detected as 60 liters per second in 1995 while the full flow rate is estimated at around 8,000 liters. With an average flow rate of 500 liters of water per second, Su Gologone is the most important spring in Sardinia.

Orgosolo (Sardinian: Orgòsolo) is a comune (municipality) located in the Province of Nuoro, in the autonomous region of Sardinia, at about 110 kilometres (68 mi) north of Cagliari and about 13 kilometres (8 mi) south of Nuoro. The municipality is famous for its murals. These political paintings can be found on walls all over Orgosolo. Since about 1969, the murals reflect different aspects of Sardinia's political struggles but also deal with international issues. Vittorio De Seta's movie Banditi a Orgosolo (1961) focuses on the past way of life in central Sardinia and on the phenomenon of "Banditry" in the region. At one time Orgosolo was known as the "village of the murderers" due to its high crime rate. Bandits of the surrounding mountains used the church door to post notices of death sentence passed on their enemies.

The giants' grave of S'Ena'e Thomes is a nuragic-era archaeological site located in the municipality of Dorgali, in the province of Nuoro, Sardinia. The tomb, dating back to the Bronze Age, has a dolmen structure with a central stele. The large exedra is composed of slabs stuck into the ground and sorted by descending size from the stele. Liscia di Vacca is a bay, located a couple miles northwest of the seaside resort of Porto Cervo, on the Costa Smeralda in the northwest of the island of Sardinia, Italy. In the local language, its name means "beach of the cows," because it is where the shepherds used to bring their flocks to pasture. It is now a well-known residential site, famous for huge villas, where Italian and international wealthy people spend their summer vacations.

The Grotta di Ispinigoli is a karst cave in the Supramonte range, near Dorgali, Sardinia, Italy.

Nuraghe Mannu is a nuragic archaeological site located about 180 metres (590 ft) above sea level overlooking the village of Cala Gonone. It is located on the east coast of Sardinia, in the middle of the gulf of Orosei, province of Nuoro and the municipality of Dorgali. The Nuraghe is partially visible from below and from the coast, from the top it gives a clear view over the surrounding area.

Cala Fuili is a beach located south along the coast from Cala Gonone, Sardinia.

Cala Gonone is an Italian seaside town and a civil parish (frazione) of the municipality (comune) of Dorgali, Province of Nuoro, in the region of Sardinia. In 2007 it had 1,279 inhabitants.

Galtellì (Italian: [ɡaltelˈli]; Sardinian: Garteddi) is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Nuoro in the Italian region Sardinia, located about 140 kilometres (87 mi) northeast of Cagliari and about 25 kilometres (16 mi) northeast of Nuoro. Galtellì borders the municipalities of: Dorgali, Irgoli, Loculi, Lula, Onifai, Orosei. Galtellì was a historic episcopal see, in the current diocese of Nuoro, in the territory of the ancient sentence of Gallura and, in particular, in the territory of the Baronie. Galtellì has one of the better-preserved historic centres in Sardinia. It has numerous churches, and the cathedral of Saint Peter houses a cycle of Romanesque frescoes.
