Southern Asbestos Company Mills, also known as Fiber Mills, is a historic asbestos factory complex located at Charlotte, Mecklenburg County, North Carolina. The complex consists of two red brick buildings joined by a bridge section and constructed in phases primarily between 1904 and 1959. During the 1940s and early 1950s, R. C. Biberstein Company made some improvements and designed additions.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2008.

Ray's Splash Planet (often referred to as Ray's) is a Mecklenburg County, North Carolina funded water park located in Charlotte, North Carolina, United States. The aquatic facility is operated by the Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation department. Ray's Splash Planet is considered one of the largest indoor water parks in both of the Carolinas and is the largest water park in Charlotte, North Carolina, with over 29,000 square feet of space and using over 117,000 gallons of water at 87 degrees. The water is cleaned and sanitized through the use of chlorine, filtration and an ultraviolet germicidal irradiation system. There are multiple attractions including the Blue Comet, a three-story figure 8 slide, and other family friendly attractions like the Orbiter, Saturation Station, the Vortex, Meteor Showers, Moon Beach and the Sea of Tranquility. The water park also features a fitness center and gymnasium shared with the Irwin Academic Center, an educational center of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools system. The first floor of the facility includes the pool area, locker rooms, birthday party classrooms and concessions stand. The second story includes the fitness center with an aerobics/dance studio. Access to the indoor gymnasium is also located on the second floor. Ray's Splash Planet is located on North Sycamore Street near Johnson & Wales University and is just off Interstate 77 in North Carolina in the Third Ward section of Uptown Charlotte. The water park opened on October 15, 2002 with help from Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation's partnership with Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools. Major competitors are Carowinds in Charlotte, North Carolina, Great Wolf Lodge in Concord, North Carolina and Wet 'n Wild Emerald Pointe in Greensboro, North Carolina.

The Irwin Belk Complex is a multi-use 4,500 seat stadium on the campus of Johnson C. Smith University (JCSU) in Charlotte, North Carolina United States. The stadium plays host to JCSU events. It is named for benefactor, Irwin Belk of Belk stores fame.

Overcarsh House is a historic home located at Charlotte, Mecklenburg County, North Carolina. It was built between 1879 and 1898, and is a two-story, rectangular Queen Anne style frame dwelling. It is sheathed in weatherboard, sits on a brick foundation, and has a hipped roof on the main block. It features extended gable-roofed bays, a conical-roofed tower, shallow entrance porch, and decorative gables. Its builder, Elias Overcarsh (1821–1898), was a prominent Methodist minister. The Overcarsh family owned the house until 1966.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

Charlotte Gateway Station is a future intermodal transit station in Charlotte, North Carolina, United States. Currently operating as a streetcar stop for the CityLynx Gold Line, it is the centerpiece of the overall 19-acre (7.7 ha) Station District and will serve Charlotte Area Transit System light rail and bus lines, Amtrak intercity trains and Greyhound Lines intercity buses. The district will also include parking facilities, mixed-use development and an elevated greenway. Estimated at a cost of $800.1 million (2017 US dollars) for full implementation of all public and private components, the project will be built in three phases, with all construction tentatively scheduled to be done by 2024.

The VUE or The VUE Charlotte is a 576-foot (176 m) tall skyscraper in Charlotte, North Carolina. It was completed in 2010 and has 51 stories. A luxury apartment tower, the VUE is the tallest residential building in the state. The leasing center for The Vue is located at the corner of 5th Street and W. Pine. With 402 units, residences range from studios to penthouses. Some contain private balconies, gourmet kitchens, spa inspired bathrooms, and floor to ceiling glass. The VUE features a 35,000 sq ft (3,300 m2) amenity deck with a heated Jr. Olympic-sized pool, tennis–sport court, pet park, and landscaped courtyard with outdoor kitchen. Other amenities include a 24-hour full service concierge, business center, and 50th floor SKY Lounge. The name "VUE" is an acronym for "Vertical Urban Experience". The VUE is located in the historic Fourth Ward residential Uptown Charlotte neighborhood. The Charles R. Jonas Federal Building, also known as the United States Post Office and Courthouse, is an historic structure located at 401 West Trade Street, in Charlotte, North Carolina, which has served at various times as a courthouse of the United States District Court for the Western District of North Carolina, and a United States post office. Designed by the Office of the Supervising Architect under James A. Wetmore, it was completed in 1915; the building was renamed in honor of long-serving North Carolina Congressman Charles R. Jonas, and was transferred to the city in exchange for land in the fall of 2005, and has been leased back to the federal government for continued use.
