Spectacle Pond (Sandwich, Massachusetts)

The town of Barnstable, Massachusetts has four surviving stone markers that were used in colonial days to mark the town's boundaries with its neighbors. All four are listed on the National Register of Historic Places, three of them individually, and one as part of the Old King's Highway Historic District. Barnstable was established in 1639.

Massachusetts's 9th congressional district is located in eastern Massachusetts. It is represented by Democrat William R. Keating. With a Cook Partisan Voting Index rating of D+6, it is the least Democratic district in Massachusetts, a state with an all-Democratic congressional delegation.Redistricting after the 2010 census eliminated Massachusetts's 10th congressional district; the 9th covers much of the old 10th's eastern portion. The district also added some Plymouth County communities from the old 4th district, and some Bristol County communities from the old 3rd and 4th districts. It eliminated a few easternmost Norfolk County communities and northernmost Plymouth County communities. From 1963 to 2013, the 9th covered most of southern Boston, and in its latter years, it included many of Boston's southern suburbs. Most of that territory is now the 8th district.

The Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital Cape Cod (SRHCC) is a rehabilitation hospital located in Sandwich, Massachusetts that serves both Cape Cod and the Islands. It was founded in 1995 and is part of the Spaulding Rehabilitation Network.It was previously known as the Rehabilitation Hospital of the Cape and Islands (RHCI), and still operates under that name. The hospital is owned by Partners HealthCare, a non-profit organization that owns several hospitals in Massachusetts.

Sandwich Middle High School is a public high school located in East Sandwich, Massachusetts, United States. The school serves the students of Sandwich, Massachusetts. Enrollment at the school is about 900 students in grades 7–12, and employs 85 faculty members. Sandwich's school mascot is the Blue Knight and the school colors are Navy, Sky Blue & White. The school was formerly known as Sandwich High School (grades 9-12) with the attached S.T.E.M Academy (grades 7-8). Rebranding to Sandwich Middle High School took place in fall of 2022 due to a lack of S.T.E.M based courses being offered to 7th and 8th grade students.

The Benjamin Nye Homestead is a historic house museum in Sandwich, Massachusetts. The earliest portion of the 2.5-story timber-frame house was built c. 1680 by Benjamin Nye, and has remained in the hands of his descendants for most of the time since then. It was apparently originally built as a saltbox style house with an integral leanto section, with the rear of the house being raise to a full two stories, probably in the 19th century. The house was sold out of the Nye family to the state of Massachusetts in 1924, but was poorly maintained by the state. With the house threatened with demolition in 1962, the Nye Family Association acquired the property and restored the house. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1992.The Nye Family Association now operates the property as a historic house museum, featuring 18th century furnishings, and is open for tours from June through October.

The Coca-Cola Bottling Company of Cape Cod is a former bottler of Coca-Cola, Dr Pepper and Canada Dry soft drinks located in Sandwich, Massachusetts, United States. The company was bought out in 2000 by the Coca-Cola Bottling Company of Northern New England.

Cleveland Island is a small heavily forested island located in Wakeby Pond in Mashpee, Massachusetts. It once belonged to president Grover Cleveland. Cleveland once said that Daniel Webster caught a trout near the island, and then "talked mighty strong and fine to that fish and told him what a mistake he had made, and that he would have been all right if he had left the bait alone.

East Sandwich station is a former train station located in East Sandwich, Massachusetts. The station was built by the Cape Cod Branch Railroad when the line was extended beyond Sandwich. A new station building was constructed in 1893. The station building still exists as a private residence at 404 Old Kings Highway (Massachusetts 6A), although it is much changed from its original appearance. It was moved back from the tracks, rotated almost 90 degrees, and had several additions made.

The Lowell Holly Reservation is a 135-acre (0.55 km2) nature reserve in Mashpee and Sandwich, Massachusetts and is managed by the Trustees of Reservations. The area was extensively planted by A. Lawrence Lowell and Wilfred Wheeler with rhododendrons, mountain laurel and holly trees, for which the reservation gets its name. There are 4 miles (6.4 km) of hiking trails and two peninsular knolls that jut into Mashpee Pond and Wakeby Pond. Lowell bequeathed the property to the Trustees of Reservations in 1943.

The Isaac Crocker Homestead is a historic home and farm in Marstons Mills, Massachusetts, United States, built c. 1750. The 6.5-acre (2.6 ha) property, located at 330 Olde Homestead Drive, includes an historic house, adjoining barn and grain silo. The silo is unusual for being made out of wood. In 2007, the property was listed as one of the Ten Most Endangered Historic Resources in Massachusetts.The house is a Cape Cod-style cottage that was described in 2006 as the oldest example of the architectural style in that area of the town of Barnstable. The property has been deemed to be eligible for inclusion on the National Register of Historic Places.

The Spring Hill Historic District of Sandwich, Massachusetts, is a rural and residential historic district reflecting the area's long history. The district includes the Wing Fort House, one of the oldest wood-frame houses in North America, and the site of the first Quaker meeting in the New World. It is also notable for its views, and for its cranberry bogs, some of which have been actively cultivated since the 19th century. The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2010.The main roads through the district are Main Street (Massachusetts Route 6A) and Spring Hill Road. The district's boundaries run from roughly from Great Island Road and Main Street in the west, including properties along the two main roads and some adjacent streets, to Norse Pines Drive and Quaker Meetinghouse Road in the east.
