Holon Junction railway station is a railway station on the Rosh HaAyin–Beersheba line. The station is located at the Holon Interchange (the intersection of the South Ayalon Highway and Highway 44) which separates Tel Aviv-Jaffa from its southern suburb Holon. With 629,715 passengers recorded in 2019, it was the least-used station in the Tel Aviv District.

Gush Dan (Hebrew: גּוּשׁ דָּן, lit. "Dan bloc") is a conurbation in Israel, located along the country's Mediterranean coastline. There is no single formal definition of Gush Dan, though the term is in frequent use by governmenting bodies. It ranges from combining Tel Aviv with cities that form urban continuum with it, to the entire areas from both the Tel Aviv and the Central District, or sometimes the whole Metropolitan Area of Tel Aviv (Hebrew: מֶטְרוֹפּוֹלִין תֵּל אָבִיב), which includes a small part of the Southern District as well. Gush Dan is the largest conurbation and metropolitan area in Israel, with the metropolitan area having an estimated population of 4,054,570 residents, 95% of whom are Israeli Jews. Despite making up less than 8% of Israel's total land area, it houses about 45% of the country's total population. It is the second or third largest metropolitan area on the Mediterranean Sea.

On November 19, 2015, an assailant approached the entrance of a Tel Aviv synagogue at prayer time, and stabbed and killed two worshipers. The attacker was arrested.

Holon Institute of Technology (HIT, Hebrew: מכון טכנולוגי חולון), is a public college in Holon, Israel. The institution focuses on science & technology, and design & visual art, and offers diverse programs that enhance the interdisciplinary approach. The programs range from industrial design to visual communication design, to various specializations in engineering, science and technology. HIT conducts both theoretical and applied research; it has been active in the local and international art, technology & design scenes, and has maintained strong ties with the industry in Israel and abroad.

Tel Aviv South railway station was the name of two former railway stations in Tel Aviv, Israel, which were situated in two different locations. The original station opened in 1920, then in 1970 it was relocated 2.5 km south-east, and it finally closed to passengers in 1993.

The Ayalon River (Hebrew: נחל איילון, Nahal Ayalon; Nahr el-Barideh or Wadi Musrara in Arabic) is a perennial stream in Israel, originating in the Judean Hills and discharging into the Yarkon River in the area of Tel Aviv.The total length of the Ayalon River is about 50 kilometres and it drains an area of 815 square kilometres. It begins in the Judean Hills northwest of Jerusalem near the Israeli settlements of Giv'at Ze'ev and Giv'on HaHadasha, flows down through the Ayalon Valley of the Shephelah region, reaches the Coastal Plain and passes near Ben Gurion Airport, is diverted from its original bed through an artificial concrete channel along the north-south Ayalon Freeway bordering central Tel Aviv on the east, and discharges into the Yarkon River in the Bavli quarter of Tel Aviv. East of Tel Aviv the Ayalon passes through the grounds of the new Ariel Sharon Park, a grand project centered on the former Hiriya waste dump and since 2004 one of the biggest environmental rehabilitation projects in the world, designed by the German landscape architect Peter Latz and planned to be finalised by 2020.

Design Museum Holon is the first museum in Israel dedicated to design. The building of the museum was planned and designed by Israeli architect and industrial designer Ron Arad in cooperation with Bruno Asa. The museum is in the eastern part of the new culture area of Holon that includes the Médiathèque (central library, theater, cinémathèque). Nearby is the faculty of design in the Holon Institute of Technology. The museum opened on 3 March 2010. That is the first building that was planned by Ron Arad. The museum was noted by travel magazine Conde Nast Traveler as one of the new world wonders.

Highway 20, more commonly the Ayalon Highway, or simply Ayalon (Hebrew: נתיבי איילון, pronounced: "Netivei Ayalon", lit. "Ayalon lanes"), is a major intracity freeway in Gush Dan, Israel. The road runs along the eastern border of central Tel Aviv from north to south (with a planned east-west branch as well) and connects all of the major highways leading to the city—such as Highway 4 from Ashdod and the Southern regions, Highway 2 from Haifa and the Northern regions, Highway 5 from the East, and Highway 1 from Jerusalem and the Southeast. The Ayalon Highway is heavily travelled and on an average day almost 600,000 vehicles enter the freeway. It consists of a multi-lane highway with a multi-track railway located between the opposite travel lanes. Some of the highway's route is along the Ayalon River, hence its name.

Holon (Hebrew: חוֹלוֹן (audio) ) is a city on the central coastal strip of Israel, south of Tel Aviv. Holon is part of the metropolitan Gush Dan area. In 2019 it had a population of 196,282. Holon has the second-largest industrial zone in Israel, after Haifa. Its jurisdiction is 19,200 dunams and its population is about 194,273 residents as of 2018 according to CBS data.

Wolfson Medical Center (Hebrew: מרכז רפואי וולפסון) (transliteration: Merkaz Refui Wolfson) is a hospital in the Tel Aviv District city of Holon, Israel. Wolfson Hospital is located in southern Tel Aviv Metropolitan Area in a vicinity abounded by a population of nearly half a million inhabitants. It ranks as the ninth largest hospital in Israel. The medical center was founded with the assistance of the Wolfson Foundation and named after Lady Edith Specterman Wolfson, Sir Isaac Wolfson's wife.

The L. Greenberg National Institute of Forensic Medicine (Hebrew: המכון הלאומי לרפואה משפטית ע"ש ל' גרינברג; also known as the Abu Kabir Forensic Institute or simply Abu Kabir) is an Israeli forensic research laboratory located in the Abu Kabir neighborhood of Tel Aviv, Israel.

Hatikva Quarter (Hebrew: שכונת התקווה, Shkhunat Hatikva) is a working class neighbourhood in southeastern Tel Aviv, Israel.
