Lienden is a village in the Dutch province of Gelderland. It is a part of the municipality of Buren, and lies about 9 km south of Veenendaal. Lienden was a separate municipality until 1999, when it was merged with Buren.

Meerten is a neighbourhood of Lienden and was a hamlet in the Dutch province of Gelderland. It is a part of the municipality of Buren, and lies about 9 km northeast of Tiel.It was first mentioned in 1145 as Gerardus de Marten. The etymology is unknown. It was annexed by neighbouring Lienden who built an industrial terrain near the hamlet. In 2008, construction began on the new residential neighbourhood Nieuw-Meerten.

Oudewaard was first mentioned in 1326 as "de Weert te Kester", and means the old land near water. The postal authorities have placed the hamlet under Kesteren. Until 1800, it was an heerlijkheid. In 1840, it was home to 147 people.

Rhenen (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈreːnə(n)] (listen)) is a municipality and a city in the central Netherlands. The municipality also includes the villages of Achterberg, Remmerden, Elst and Laareind. The town lies at a geographically interesting location, namely on the southernmost part of the chain of hills known as the Utrecht Hill Ridge (Utrechtse Heuvelrug), where this meets the river Rhine. Because of this Rhenen has a unique character with quite some elevation through town. Directly to the east of the built-up area lies the Grebbeberg, a hill with a top elevation of about 50 metres (160 ft).

Kesteren is a village in the Dutch province of Gelderland. It is a part of the municipality of Neder-Betuwe, and lies about 8 km southwest of Wageningen. Kesteren was a separate municipality until 2002, when it merged with Dodewaard and Echteld. The new municipality was first called "Kesteren", but changed its name to Neder-Betuwe in 2003.
