Rabun Gap is an unincorporated community in Rabun County, Georgia, United States. The community is located along U.S. Route 23/441 south of Dillard. Rabun Gap has a post office with ZIP code 30568.The community takes its name from the mountain pass in which it is situated.

The Dillard House, is a restaurant in Dillard, Rabun County, Georgia, known for its "family style" menu and Southern cooking. It traces its origins to the 1910s, when A.J. Dillard, a descendant of John Dillard along with his wife Carrie opened their stone house to boarders. With the improvement of local transportation infrastructure after World War II, it evolved into a major tourist attraction. Since 1954, it has expanded its dining facilities and added a hotel, cottages, petting zoo, and other attractions. The New York Times wrote in 1983, "[T]he Dillards dug themselves into the land, hung on through good times and bad, and in time turned homecooking and mountain hospitality. . . . into a big business."The restaurant and resort, which sit in a town of about 200 people, claims to serve about 800 customers on an average day and up to 3,000 a day during peak season. Patrons have included Thomas Edison, Henry Ford, Lady Bird Johnson, Walt Disney, and Jimmy Carter.The original stone house was nominated for inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places in 2007.

Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School (informally known as Rabun Gap) is a small, private college preparatory school located in Rabun County, Georgia, United States, in the Appalachian Mountains. It is both a boarding and a day school. Rabun Gap is notable for initiating the Foxfire magazine project in 1966, experiential education based on interviewing local people, and writing and publishing articles about their stories and oral traditions. This inspired numerous schools across the country to develop similar programs. In addition to its strong academic program, it is one of the few schools in the country to include a cirque skills program in its curriculum today. The students put on an annual performance. Rabun Gap is home to boarding students from 50 countries and 15 states.

Estatoah Falls are located on Mud Creek in Rabun County, Georgia. The falls are located on private property and are not open to the public. The falls may be viewed from several places along State Route 246. There are also some smaller falls (about 100 feet) in the small resort city of Sky Valley, Georgia called Little Estatoah Falls or Mud Creek Falls. Estatoah Falls drop several hundred feet in several dramatic cascades but are only viewable from a distance. Above Estatoah falls is Spring Lake. The name of the falls is from the name of a Cherokee Indian village. The Cherokee village of Eastertoy is thought to have been near Dillard, Georgia. Estatoah is an alternate spelling of Eastertoy. It has beautiful water.

Sky Valley is a city in Rabun County, Georgia, United States and is nestled in a mountain valley on the northwest slopes of Rabun Bald, Georgia's second-highest peak. Incorporated in March 1978, it recorded a total population of 250 as of the 2000 U.S. census, and 482 as of 2020. Sky Valley shares ZIP code 30537 with nearby Dillard. Since 1969, it is home to Sky Valley Resort (now renamed Sky Valley Country Club), which features championship golf, championship croquet, tennis, and swimming, and formerly downhill skiing.

Ada-Hi Falls (pronounced Uh-dah`'he) is located within Black Rock Mountain State Park in Rabun County, Georgia, United States. The name is derived from Ꭰꮩꭿ (A-do-hi), the Cherokee word for "forest." It is the highest elevation waterfall in the state. The amount of water present is highly variable due to its high elevation. The falls are surrounded by a forest of rhododendron. A short, yet steep hike, ends at an observation deck.

Black Rock Mountain State Park is a 1,743-acre (705 ha) Georgia, United States, state park west of Mountain City in Rabun County, in the Blue Ridge Mountains. It is named after its sheer cliffs of dark-colored biotite gneiss. Astride the Eastern Continental Divide at an elevation of 3,640 feet (1,110 m), the park provides many scenic overlooks and 80-mile (130 km) vistas of the southern Appalachian Mountains. On a clear day, four states are visible: Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee. In addition to Black Rock Mountain itself, the park includes four other peaks over 3,000 feet (910 m) in elevation, making it the state's highest state park. As of 2019, it was open to visitors year round.

The Hambidge Center Historic District is a 660 acres (2.7 km2) historic district near the community of Dillard in Rabun County, Georgia, United States.Located west of Dillard on Betty's Creek Rd., Hambidge Center was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982. The district comprises 25 separate contributing properties, including a log cabin dating to the 1830s.

Scaly Mountain (separate of near-easterly big / little Scaly Mountains, per se - see External link below) is a small unincorporated community along North Carolina Highway 106, southwest of Highlands and northeast of Dillard, Georgia (about halfway between the two), and nearest to Sky Valley, Georgia, just to the south-southwest. It is in the south-central area of Macon County, North Carolina, United States in Flats Township, close to the Georgia and North Carolina state line. The ZIP Code for Scaly Mountain is 28775.
