KLDY (1280 AM) is a radio station licensed to Lacey, Washington, United States. The station is currently owned by Iglesia Pentecostal Víspera del Fin.

During the Vashon Glaciation a series of lakes formed along the southern margin of the Cordilleran Ice Cap. In the Puget Sound depression, a series of lakes developed, of which Lake Russell was the largest and the longest lasting. Early Lake Russell’s surface was at 160 ft (49 m) above sea level, draining across the divide at Shelton, Washington into early Glacial Lake Russell. When the ice margin receded northward, the lake expanded. When it reached the Clifton channel outlet, the water levels dropped to 120 ft (37 m) above sea level. The new longer and lower level lake is referred to as Lake Hood. The glacier continued to retreat until the northern outlet of the Hood Canal was reached as the water level equalized with Glacial Lake Russell becoming part of that body of water.Lake Russell is named for geologist, Israel Cook Russell.Forming about 17,000 years before present (ybp) as the ice front began to retreat northward. One version or another of Lake Russell existed form 16,900 ybp until 15,900 ybp.

Northwest Christian High School (NCHS) is a private school in Thurston County, Washington. It is part of Northwest Christian Schools of Lacey, Washington, which also includes Northwest Christian Preschool and Northwest Christian Academy (Lacey, Washington) (for pre-school and K-8 students). In the 2006-2007 school year, it provided education for 206 students in grades 9 through 12. Its motto is "Developing Christian Leaders." In 2019, the school’s nickname changed from the Navigators to the Wolverines (a nickname that now includes the Preschool and the Academy). Northwest Christian High School provides college preparatory academics, a variety of elective classes, competitive sports, and TOEFL preparation. Class sizes are very small averaging around 15-20.

North Thurston High School, located in the North Thurston Public Schools District in Lacey, Washington, is a comprehensive high school which opened in 1955. North Thurston serves a portion of Lacey and northeast Thurston County. The school is accredited by the Washington State Superintendent of Public Instruction. The principal is Nick Greenwell.

Woodard Bay Natural Resources Conservation Area is a natural reserve in Olympia, Washington protected under the Washington Natural Areas Program. Once an important processing facility for the logging industry, it has been designated as the Weyerhaeuser South Bay Log Dump Rural Historic Landscape. Today the area is a renowned sanctuary for a variety of birds, harbor seals, river otters, bald eagles, and a colony of bats, as well as serving as an important great blue heron rookery. A recent conservation program in the area between the State of Washington and the Nature Conservancy is the first of its kind in the country.

Providence St. Peter Hospital, located in the Lilly Road Medical District of Olympia, Washington is Providence Health & Services’s second largest Washington state hospital. Providence St. Peter features 390 beds in the medical/surgical tower with 42 private rooms in the emergency department (including a four-bed locked mental health evaluation unit), 18 beds in the Psychiatry Building, and 42 beds in the Critical Care Unit. Henderson Inlet is a small, southern inlet of Puget Sound, Washington state, situated between Budd Inlet to the west and Nisqually Reach to the east. It is located in Thurston County, and the nearest city is Olympia, the state capital. Henderson Inlet was named in 1841 by Charles Wilkes, commander of the United States Exploring Expedition, after James Henderson, who served as quartermaster. A variant name is "South Bay".

Tolmie State Park is a public recreation area covering 154 acres (62 ha) on Nisqually Beach on Puget Sound, eight miles (13 km) northeast of Olympia, Washington. The state park includes 1,800 ft (550 m) of saltwater shoreline at the mouth of a creek known as Big Slough as well as forest lands, a saltwater marsh, and an underwater park with artificial reef for scuba diving.

Libby Creek is a creek in northern Thurston County, Washington. Libby Creek flows into Chapman Bay and Henderson Inlet. The name honors the Libby family, specifically George A. Libby (1833–1898), who homesteaded at the North end of the trail that is now Libby Road.
