Kato Acharnes railway station

Cholargos (Ancient Greek: Χολαργός, romanized: Cholargós) was a deme of ancient Athens located west or north-west of Athens main city.

The Acharnes Railway Center (Greek: Σιδηροδρομικό Κέντρο Αχαρνών) or SKA is a two-level railway station in the northern parts of the Athens agglomeration, in the suburb of Acharnes, where several important railway lines converge. It is an important passenger interchange station linking The main Piraeus–Platy railway line from Athens Central to Thessaloniki and the Athens Airport–Patras railway. The station opened in April 2011.

Pyrgos Vasilissis railway station (Greek: Σιδηροδρομικός σταθμός Πύργου Βασιλίσσης, romanized: Sidirodromikós Stathmós Pýrgou Vasilíssis) is a station on the Piraeus–Platy railway line in Agioi Anargyroi, a suburb in municipality of Agioi Anargyroi-Kamatero, in the regional unit of West Athens, Attica, Greece. It was opened on 27 February 2014 and is located in front of the stadium of Agioi Anargyroi (Constantinople and Messolonghi, Anakasa). The station owes its name to the large adjacent tower, built as a mock castle that was built as a holiday home of Queen Amalia.

Queen's Tower (Greek: Πύργος Βασιλίσσης, Pyrgos Vasilissis) is a former royal estate near Athens, Greece. The estate, consisting of 200 hectares (494 acres), was purchased by King Otto, the first king of modern Greece. He built there a small neogothic castle for his wife, Queen Amalia. The architecture resembles Hohenschwangau castle in Bavaria, built for Maximilian II of Bavaria, the brother of King Otto. As the castle is only one tower, it is called the Queen's Tower. After the abdication of King Otto, the estate was sold to the Serpieri family, who still own it. They have a dairy farm and wineyard on the estate. The wines bottled on the estate are called "Tour la Reine" (French for Queen's Tower). A nearby station of the Proastiakos suburban railway opened in 2014, Pyrgos Vasilissis, is named after the estate.

Nea Filadelfeia (Greek: Νέα Φιλαδέλφεια, meaning New Philadelphia) is a suburban town in the Athens agglomeration, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Filadelfeia-Chalkidona of Central Athens regional unit, of which it is the seat and a municipal unit. The municipal unit has an area of 2.850 km2. It was named after the Anatolian city Filadelfeia, now Alaşehir in Turkey, and it was settled by Greek refugees from Asia Minor after the Greco-Turkish War (1919-1922).

Metamorfosi (Greek: Μεταμόρφωση, romanized: Metamórfosi, lit. 'transfiguration'; before 1957: Koukouvaounes (Greek: Κουκουβάουνες, romanized: Koukouváounes) is a suburb in the northern part of the Athens agglomeration, Greece, and a municipality of the Attica region.

Antonis Tritsis Metropolitan Park (Greek: Μητροπολιτικό Πάρκο «Αντώνης Τρίτσης») is a public park in Ilion, Greece, and it is the largest park in Attica. The park is the only one dedicated exclusively to environmental awareness and education in Greece.

Nikos Goumas Stadium (Greek: Στάδιο Νίκος Γκούμας) was a multi-purpose stadium in Nea Filadelfeia, a northwestern suburb of the Athens urban area, Greece. It was used mostly for football matches and was the home stadium of AEK. It is now replaced by Agia Sophia Stadium built at the same site.

The Agia Sophia Stadium (pronounced [aˈʝa soˈfça]), also known as OPAP Arena for sponsorship reasons and as AEK Arena for UEFA competitions, is the home stadium of AEK Athens. With an all-seater capacity of 32,500 it is the second largest football stadium overall in Greece. It is located in Nea Filadelfeia, a northwestern suburb of Athens, Greece. The new arena was built on the site of the former Nikos Goumas Stadium. The construction of the arena was completed in October 2022. Agia Sophia Stadium is the newest stadium built in Greece. On 27 March 2023, the stadium began hosting the home matches of the Greece national football team with a 0–0 draw against Lithuania. The stadium won the 13th edition of the Stadium of the Year award in the public vote for the best stadium opened in 2022. The 2023–24 UEFA Europa Conference League season is set to conclude at the stadium on 29 May 2024.

Zefyri (Greek: Ζεφύρι) is a suburb of Athens and former municipality in West Attica, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Fyli, of which it is a municipal unit. The municipal unit has an area of 1.400 km2.Zefyri is situated near the northeastern end of the Aigaleo mountains. Its built-up area is continuous with those of the neighbouring suburbs Ano Liosia, Acharnes and Kamatero. The Motorway 6 passes through Zefyri, by the 440 m cut and cover Zefyri Tunnel. Zefyri is 2 km southeast of Ano Liosia, 2 km southwest of Acharnes and about 10 km north of Athens city centre. The old metric Piraeus–Patras railway and the new Athens Airport–Patras railway pass through Zefyri. The earthquake of 7 September 1999 damaged some tens of homes.

Patisia or Patissia (Greek: Πατήσια) is a neighbourhood of Athens, Greece. It is split in two neighbourhoods: Ano Patisia (upper Patisia) and Kato Patisia (lower Patisia). The main streets of Patisia are Patision Av. and Acharnon Av.

Kamatero (Greek: Καματερó [kamateˈro]; officially Καματερόν) is a town and a suburb in the central-western part of the Athens agglomeration, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Agioi Anargyroi-Kamatero, of which it is a municipal unit. It is located about 8 kilometres north of Athens city centre.
