Bon-y-maen (until 2022 Bonymaen) is the name of an electoral ward in the City and County of Swansea, Wales, UK. The ward is bounded by Neath Port Talbot county borough to the east and the Swansea wards of Llansamlet and Morriston to the north; St. Thomas to the south; and Landore to the west. For the purposes of elections Bon-y-maen is divided into several polling districts: Winch Wen, Pentre Dwr, Hanover Square and Pentrechwyth. Bon-y-maen returns 2 councillors to the local council. The current councillors are Mandy Evans and Paul Lloyd (both Labour Party). The electoral ward consists of some or all of the following areas: Bon-y-maen, Cefn Hengoed, Copper Quarter, Crymlyn Bog, Morfa, Pentrechwyth, Pentre Dwr, Winch Wen, in the parliamentary constituency of Swansea East.

Swansea East (Welsh: Dwyrain Abertawe) is a constituency of the Senedd. It elects one Member of the Senedd by the first past the post method of election. It is one of seven constituencies in the South Wales West electoral region, which elects four additional members, in addition to seven constituency members, to produce a degree of proportional representation for the region as a whole.

Swansea East (Welsh: Dwyrain Abertawe) is a borough constituency represented in the House of Commons of the Parliament of the United Kingdom by Carolyn Harris of the Labour Party.The constituency is set to be abolished as part of the 2023 Periodic Review of Westminster constituencies and under the June 2023 final recommendations of the Boundary Commission for Wales for the next United Kingdom general election. It's wards are to be split between Neath and Swansea East, and Swansea West.

Cefn Hengoed is a suburban district in the City and County of Swansea, Wales falling into the Bon-y-maen ward. Cefn Hengoed is set on the top of a hill near the village of Bon-y-maen. The local comprehensive school is Cefn Hengoed Comprehensive School and the local leisure facility is Cefn Hengoed Leisure Centre which was recently shut down due to budget cuts and renovations to the teachers lounge.

Llansamlet is a suburban district and community of Swansea, Wales, falling into the Llansamlet ward. The area is centred on the A48 road (named Samlet Road and Clase Road in the area) and the M4 motorway. Like other places in Wales having a name beginning with Llan, Llansamlet is named after a church, usually itself bearing the name of a saint – in this case, the church of Saint Samlet. There is a Saint Samlet's Church in the area on Church Road.

The Swansea Indoor Bowls Stadium is an indoor bowls stadium based in Plasmarl, Swansea, Wales. It was opened in early 2008 and was constructed at a cost of £1.5m replacing the indoor bowling facilities that had been offered at Swansea Leisure Centre. The stadium has six lanes and is capable of holding international events.Swansea Bowls Stadium is home to the Swansea Indoor Bowling Club. The stadium hosted the World Indoor Singles and Mixed Pairs Championship from 16 April to 20 April 2008. It will host the Gravelles Welsh International Open Bowls Championships 2009, part of the World Bowls Tour 2008/2009, from 31 January to 6 February 2009.

The Tabernacle Chapel (Capel y Tabernacl in Welsh), also known as Libanus Chapel, is a Grade I listed chapel on Woodfield Street in Morriston, Swansea, Wales.

Swansea Vale (Welsh: Bro Abertawe) is a 160-acre (0.65 km2) mixed used new suburb development site in Swansea, Wales. The area is bounded east by Birchgrove; south by Swansea Enterprise Park, west by the River Tawe and north by the M4 motorway. The development is a partnership between the City and County of Swansea council and the Welsh Assembly Government and will comprise a residential area (Tregof Village), a nature reserve and two business parks - Riverside Business Park and Central Business Park. The Swansea Vale Nature Reserve consists of 6 hectares of land and is one of the few remaining areas of wetland habitat in Swansea. The reserve consists of woodland, rivers, ponds and marsh. The reserve is viewable by the public with a footpath and boardwalk built around the southern part of the reserve.

The electoral ward consists of some or all of the following geographical areas: Birchgrove, Glais, Heol Las, Llansamlet, Morriston, Peniel Green, Pentre-Dwr, Talycopa, Trallwn and Summer Hill in the parliamentary constituency of Swansea East. The Llansamlet ward is bounded by the wards of Clydach to the north, Morriston to the west, Neath Port Talbot county borough to the east, and Bonymaen to the south.
