The Swansea Indoor Bowls Stadium is an indoor bowls stadium based in Plasmarl, Swansea, Wales. It was opened in early 2008 and was constructed at a cost of £1.5m replacing the indoor bowling facilities that had been offered at Swansea Leisure Centre. The stadium has six lanes and is capable of holding international events.Swansea Bowls Stadium is home to the Swansea Indoor Bowling Club. The stadium hosted the World Indoor Singles and Mixed Pairs Championship from 16 April to 20 April 2008. It will host the Gravelles Welsh International Open Bowls Championships 2009, part of the World Bowls Tour 2008/2009, from 31 January to 6 February 2009.

Swansea East (Welsh: Dwyrain Abertawe) is a constituency of the Senedd. It elects one Member of the Senedd by the first past the post method of election. It is one of seven constituencies in the South Wales West electoral region, which elects four additional members, in addition to seven constituency members, to produce a degree of proportional representation for the region as a whole.

Swansea East (Welsh: Dwyrain Abertawe) is a borough constituency represented in the House of Commons of the Parliament of the United Kingdom by Carolyn Harris of the Labour Party.The constituency is set to be abolished as part of the 2023 Periodic Review of Westminster constituencies and under the June 2023 final recommendations of the Boundary Commission for Wales for the next United Kingdom general election. It's wards are to be split between Neath and Swansea East, and Swansea West.

Pluck Lake is a lake to the east of Swansea city centre in the Morfa area north of Kilvey Hill. It forms part of Kilvey Community Woodland. Pluck Lake, is a refuge for blue-tailed damselfly and the emperor dragonfly. In April 2008 a crocodile was supposedly sighted in the waters of the lake attracting some attention from the media and members from The Centre for Fortean Zoology and was nicknamed the Morfadile or Pluck Ness Monster.

Plasmarl, or Plas-Marl, is a suburban district and historically a village of the City and County of Swansea, Wales. It falls within the old Copper Quarter of Landore electoral ward.

Swansea City Association Football Club Under-21s is the most senior team of Swansea City's youth teams and are the club's former reserve team. They compete in the Professional Development League. The Under-21s play the majority of their home fixtures at the club's Youth Academy in Landore, with occasional fixtures taking place at the Swansea.com Stadium. The Under-21 team is effectively Swansea City's second-string side, but is limited to three outfield players and one goalkeeper over the age of 23 per game following the introduction of new regulations from the 2016–17 season. Morfa Stadium was an athletics stadium in the Landore area of Swansea, Wales. Constructed and in use since 1980, it was officially opened as Morfa Stadium on 20 April 1989 by Queen Elizabeth II and the Duke of Edinburgh. The stadium was subsequently used as a residential training facility for the local Swansea Harriers Athletics Club; which produced numerous local, national, international, Commonwealth, Olympic and world competitors. It has now been demolished and the land is occupied by the Morfa Retail Park and the Swansea.com Stadium, home of the city's football and rugby teams, which opened in 2005.Welsh band Stereophonics played a concert at the stadium on 31 July 1999. The concert film, Performance and Cocktails: Live at Morfa Stadium, was released on 1 November 1999.

Morriston railway station served the community of Morriston, Swansea, Wales from 1881 to 1965 on the Morriston Branch.

The Landore viaduct is a railway viaduct over the Swansea valley and the River Tawe at Landore in south Wales. It provides a link between Swansea city center and the West Wales Line to the South Wales Main Line. The valley crossing provides a panoramic view of Landore, Kilvey Hill, the Liberty Stadium and the Swansea Enterprise Park. The Landore viaduct was constructed as a key element of the West Wales Line during the late 1840s. The structure, which has a length of 536-metre (1,759 ft), was originally designed by the famed engineer Isambard Kingdom Brunel, and incorporated a diverse range of structural design elements and was primarily constructed out of timber. It was officially opened to traffic in 1850. The structure was first updated in 1889, using wrought-iron for the central span. Between 1978 and 1979, the majority of the viaduct was re-decked using steel beams. The structure remains in use to the current day.
