Santa Rosa is a district of Lima Province, Peru. Officially established as a district on February 6, 1962. It borders the Ancón District to the north and the east, the Pacific Ocean on the west, and the Ventanilla District on the south.

Covering more than half of the province's territory, it is Callao's largest district. The current mayor of Ventanilla is Pedro Carmelo Spadaro. It was officially established as a district on January 28, 1969. The first stone for the building of Ventanilla was placed on September 24, 1960, in what is now the Central Church of Ventanilla San Pedro Nolasco.

La Pampilla refinery is an oil refinery in Peru, under the administration of Grupo Repsol del Perú S.A.C. It is located on Néstor Gambetta Avenue in Ventanilla, Callao, and has a capacity to refine 117,000 barrels of oil per day, which represents half of the country's refining production.

The Chillón River is a river located in western Peru. Its waters are produced by the melting of ice in the glaciers of the Andes, and its mouth is located in the Pacific Ocean coast of the Callao Region. Its volume gets higher during the summer months (December to March). The river's valley is very fertile. It has been inhabited by varying indigenous cultures for more than ten thousand years, as shown by archeological evidence.The 4,000-year-old ruins known as El Paraíso are located 40 kilometres north-east of Lima in the Chillón River Valley. A temple at the site is believed to be about 5,000 years old, if the date is confirmed it would be among the oldest sites in the world, comparable to the ancient city of Caral, a coastal city 200 kilometres to the north.

The Roman Catholic Diocese of Carabayllo (Latin: Carabaillen(sis)) is a diocese located in the city of Carabayllo within the ecclesiastical province of Lima in Peru.

Carabayllo (Spanish pronunciation: [kaɾaβaˈiʝo]) is one of the 43 districts of the province Lima in Peru. It is located in the Cono Norte area of the province and was created district by General José de San Martín in August 4, 1821 at which time it was the only district to occupy the area north of the Rímac River up to the province Canta.

El Paraíso (Spanish pronunciation: [el paɾaˈiso], "The Paradise") is the modern name of a Late Preceramic (3500–1800 BC) archaeological site located in the Chillón Valley on the central coast of Peru. The site is situated several kilometers north of Lima, the capital of Peru, in the San Martin de Porres District in the Province of Lima. El Paraíso is one of the largest settlements from this period, encompassing over 58 hectares of land.Other major centers from this period include Aspero and Caral on the northern coast in the Supé Valley. Sizable centers can be found in different ecozones, from the coast to inland areas. Stanish concluded that this was a time when settlements were broadly distributed, located at various distances from the coast allowing access to a variety of marine and agricultural resources.

The district of Comas is one of the forty-three districts that make up the province of Lima, located in the department of the same name, in Perú. It is located in the north area of the city. It is one of the most populous districts in Lima.

The 1987 Alianza Lima air disaster occurred on 8 December 1987, when a Peruvian Navy Fokker F27-400M chartered by Peruvian football club Alianza Lima crashed into the Pacific Ocean seven miles from Jorge Chávez International Airport near the city of Callao. Of the 44 people on board, only the pilot survived. The Peruvian Naval Aviation Commission investigated the accident and created a report but never officially disclosed its content. Eventually, the Navy's accident report was discovered and details of it were released. In the report, investigators cited pilot error as the primary cause of the accident.
