River Arts District

Riverside Industrial Historic District, also known as Asheville Wholesale District, is a national historic district located at Asheville, Buncombe County, North Carolina. The district encompasses 27 contributing buildings and 1 contributing structure (Southern Railway Tracks and Right of Way) in a predominantly industrial section of Asheville. Notable buildings include the Orpheus and Bertha Keener House (c. 1890), American Feed Milling Company (c. 1915), Italianate style Carolina Coal & Ice Company (c. 1905), Asheville Cotton Mill Cloth Warehouse (c. 1900), Standard Oil Company complex (c. 1916), and Farmers Federation Building (c. 1920).It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2004.

Demens-Rumbough-Crawley House, also known as Hanger Hall, is a historic home built by Peter Demens, located at 31 Park Ave. N., Asheville, Buncombe County, North Carolina. It was built about 1890, and is a two-story, brick Victorian style dwelling on a stone foundation. It features a low hipped roof, rigid and geometrical exterior ornamentation, and projecting three-stage tower and bay. Also on the property is a contributing small frame garage.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

Clingman Avenue Historic District is a national historic district located at Asheville, Buncombe County, North Carolina. The district encompassed 33 contributing buildings in a historically African-American residential section of Asheville. It was largely developed in the early-20th century and includes representative examples of Queen Anne and Bungalow style dwellings.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2004.

Mrs. Minnie Alexander Cottage is a historic home located at Asheville, Buncombe County, North Carolina. It was designed by Richard Sharp Smith and built about 1905. It is a two-story, rectangular frame dwelling with a number of projecting bays. The exterior walls are plastered with a roughcast concrete aggregate. It has a hip roof with deep overhanging eaves and brackets. The house has been converted to accommodate offices.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.

Whitford G. Smith House is a historic home located at Asheville, Buncombe County, North Carolina. It was built in 1894, and is a 2+1⁄2-story, irregular plan, Queen Anne style frame dwelling. It features a wraparound porch and a myriad of projecting pyramidal or gable-roof bays. The house was divided into apartments in the 1980s.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2005.

It was built in 1928, and is a three-story steel frame building faced in orange brick and limestone. It features a tall decorated parapet. The building was erected as a new home for the Conabeer Motor Company, the local Chrysler agency.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.

Asheville Transfer and Storage Company Building is a historic warehouse located at Asheville, Buncombe County, North Carolina. It was built in 1929, and is a three-story, eight-bay, Art Deco style reinforced concrete building. It features receding stepped brick panels on either side of the main entrance and a patterned brick parapet.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.

Richbourg Motors Building was a historic auto showroom located at Asheville, Buncombe County, North Carolina. It was built in 1926, and is a three-story slightly curved building faced in brick. It featured a parapet with brick panels and limestone coping. The building was built for Tench C. Coxe and leased to the Richbourg Motor Company, Asheville's Ford and Lincoln dealer. The building has since been demolished. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.
