Church of St Mary, Yarlington

Yarlington is a village and civil parish, near the source of the River Cam, in the English county of Somerset. Administratively, Yarlington shares a parish council with nearby North Cadbury and forms part of the district of South Somerset. The village gives its name to the Yarlington Mill cider apple.The village hosts the Yarlington Wassail which has been recently revived.

Woolston Manor was an estate that covered about 230 acres (93 ha) in Somerset, England. It included arable land and pasturage, worked by a tenant farmer. The lands were later sold as a farm. The Woolston Manor Farmhouse is a large stone house completed in 1838 that replaced the earlier manor house. It is now a Grade II listed building.

Hadspen Quarry is a stone quarry in Somerset, England. It is shown on Ordnance Survey maps for 1888–90, and may have been in operation for a considerable period before that.It supplies natural stone walling throughout the West Country. The products include coursed, coursed random and random rubble walling. The stone is still split and dressed at the quarry located close to Hadspen house and garden in the small village of Hadspen, within the parish of Pitcombe just outside Castle Cary. This golden colour limestone is seen in buildings in western Dorset and the surrounding areas, as can be seen at the Fleet Street site in Beaminster. Other products include name plaques, sawn ashlar quoins and capping stones. The stone is an Inferior Oolite of the Garantiana Beds, dating back to the Middle Jurassic.In 2007 Somerset County Council agreed a proposal to extend the size of the quarry by 0.3 hectares (0.74 acres).

Bratton Seymour is a village and civil parish in Somerset, England, situated on a tributary of the River Brue 4 miles (6.4 km) south-east of Castle Cary and 4 miles (6.4 km) north-west of Wincanton. The parish has a population of 104.

Blackford is a village and former civil parish in the county of Somerset, England, beside the A303 road, 4 miles (6.4 km) south west of Wincanton. There are two other places called Blackford in Somerset: one is a village near Wedmore, the other a tiny hamlet in Selworthy parish between Porlock and Minehead. In 1931, the civil parish had a population of 80. On the 1 April 1933, the civil parish was merged with Compton Pauncefoot. Compton Pauncefoot holds a Parish Meeting twice a year and has no Parish Council. The combined parish has approximately 130 residents and around 35 houses in each village. The civil parish is in the Blackmore Vale ward of the Somerset Council area. Blackford is designated as a Conservation Area.

Compton Pauncefoot is a village and civil parish in Somerset, England, situated beside the A303 road, 5 miles (8.0 km) south west of Wincanton in the South Somerset district. The parish had a population of 139 in 2011. The civil parish also includes the village with Blackford (located one mile to the east) and therefore population is based on the two villages together. Blackford parish was merged with Compton Pauncefoot on 1 April 1933. The civil parish holds a Parish Meeting twice a year and has no Parish Council. There are approximately 35 houses in the village of Compton Pauncefoot and a similar number in Blackford. Compton Pauncefoot is a designated Conservation Area. The civil parish is in the Blackmore Vale ward of South Somerset District Council and Somerset County Council.

The Anglican Church of St Michael in Blackford, Somerset, England was built in the 11th or 12th century. It is a Grade II* listed building.

Hadspen House of Hadspen, Somerset, England is built of Cary stone, mined from Hadspen Quarry. The stone is a soft limestone known for its deep burnt-orange colour. It is an inferior oolite of the Garantiana Beds and dates to the Middle Jurassic. The house has been designated by English Heritage as a grade II* listed building.
